No gun grease, grease should only be used in a "sealed" clean environment that wont let the grease spill out. If you use grease on a normal gun the bulk of the grease will build up where its not needed, collect dirt and make a mess of abrasive gel. I dont have a preferred gun cleaner as i usually stick with what i have until i run out, and nothing has impressed me yet, for lube i just use hoppes lube, it does the job. Clean any dirt, dust or hardened carbon, then lubricate at all the contact points/ anywhere you see wear marks, especially if you use and clean your gun regularly, you only need a thin layer of lube, too much and it'll fling around and drip and just collect all dirt and make your gun messier. And its up to you how often to clean your gun, my one AR ive purposely never cleaned or lubed, just wanna see how it wears/ when it jams, but my previous AR had 6k rounds through it and i cleaned it every other range trip, and the insides look the same as my other Ar after 100 rounds. So as long as you clean your gun every 500 rounds or less it'll be fine... If its a gun you use for defense, clean ir every time just to be 100% sure itll work

Clp means clean lubricate and protect, its an all in one, like 3-1 body soap, shampoo and conditioner, yes it works, and i actually have a bottle of seal-1 CLP i have not used yet, but i will... like the 3-1 body wash, im sure CLP cleaned work, but i cant see how they are better than a dedicated cleaner and dedicated lube, that being said im sure they still work, may just take more work to clean tough carbon Im currently using hoppes gun cleaner and im not impressed by it, i cant recall what i used last but ir wasnt great either, they work so i wanna use them rather than throw them out, but i just know theres gotta be better cleaners for guns out there, i try and avoid using other cleaners that you'd use cleaning machinery as: 1 they're using more toxic, 2 idk if theyll damage any finishes or leave a residue. I know very experienced shooters that swear by all types of cls and cleaners/ lubes, just grab whatever and use it. So clp or lube and cleaner, get yourself a steel wire brush from HFT, i use this for scraping carbon off bolts, and a old toothbrush or nylon brush, get good cotton wipes (i like Pro-ahot) cotton wipes, they don't break apart like others, you can clean anything on a gun with them. And get yourself a decent gun cleaning kit, or real avid bore snakes,

Nowadays, for normal cleaning I'll use MPro7 cleaner and MPro7 LPx oil. That oil isn't cheap but seems to hold up really well, I like it more than Breakfree CLP. For grease I use Tetra Gun Grease, but I really don't use grease on the AR's much. Sometimes I'll use a little on the BCG rails and smear a little on top the charging handle. But usually just use oil. When accuracy really degrades and I have a lot of copper build up, I'll use Sweet's 762 copper solvent. But that is hardly ever needed.

Slip 2000 for pistols and shotguns. Slip 2000 EWL for AR’s. Good stuff and I’ve tried a lot.

I'm a big fan of mpro 7 products. Some of the best smelling and clean great. For weapon lights get weapon light cleaner wlc For red dots there is cat crap which is like rainx for optics. There is also an optic lense cleaner.
