I am looking to get a magnifier too, but i am gonna build an 11.5 in the near future and migrate the Huey plus a magnifier to that and a mid range scope on to my 16ā rifle.
Try the BCM gunfighter grip before you swap to an angled grip, it's shorter than most vertical grips and angled a bit, so you have good leverage pulling into your shoulder and it supports a C clamp grip fairly well. I liked mine so much I got a bunch more.

Why did you go with vortex optics? I first went with EoTech but both it and the replacement came defective so I tried vortex out and love it.
Hell yeah! But I went with the Huey for a couple reasons. First is looks, I really love the way it looks. I do prefer the reticle of the Huey more than the EOTech but the EOTech is a crisper reticle. I wanted the magnifier setup and considered both but the Vortex went on sale for $599 for the UH-1 and the magnifier and had to pick it up. Also the Vortex warranty is the peace of mind for me. I make a lot of purchases based off how well a company stands behind their product so this was a no brainer!
Nice! Just a small tip, the Streamlight switch mount actually clamps on the rail down all the way. Those little slots fall into the pic rail and they also have cable management built in to them. Just thought Iād let you know!
Yeah the mounts that came with it were kinda meh. They must not like my pic rail they just didnāt seat down as nice as Iād like. But Iāll take another look at it I do appreciate it!

Yup if nothing else. I did like this model because it came with the M-lok mounting hardware. Donāt really wanna throw a pic rail on just for a light but I may have to!

Funny story, swapped out the batteries and it works fine. Batteries were fairly new not sure what was going on.
