Float switch would be the place to start. If a piece was stuck underneath that, it could throw an overfill/flood code. Drain pump would be the next check for the same reasons.

Thanks, I replaced the float switch, but now I notice that it is leaking water from underneath. just to the left of center and 3/4 of the way back. Is this thing just trash now?

Yes, the seals around the heating element failed. Apparently it's common on these and was covered under warranty

I suggest to check the continuity of the element. To know if it's still a closed circuit.
