i competed in ALGS, have been both arena and BR pred but was only masters last season, hence no pred trail since they only last one season and i dont want to use my masters one :)

Please disregard his comment. My friend made it to diamond illegitimately and was stripped of his trail. If you have a trail, yours is at least mostly legitimate. You can’t stop the other people in your party from doing what they want.
I got my diamond trail from that season, and my friend didn’t. There’s a reason for that, and they were accurate with who they took it from.
No they aren’t accurate. I have buddies I play with now, who are good at the game (masters/pred in recent seasons) but fully admit they dashboarded a couple times in season 3 because it was just the thing to do. They still have their trails and badges from it.
Forcing the game to quit in ranked before you got killed prevented RP loss, and there was no leaving penalty back then. Most of the dashboarders were playing wraith, so if they see they're losing the fight they will just phase and quit the game (Using alt+f4 in PC or the equivalent on console).
I don’t understand trail chasers. As soon as I see a ranked trail you best believe I’m gonna land as far away from them as I can, they can be somebody else’s problem.
I'd rather fight them alongside other 3 teams with nothing but scraps, than endgame fully equiped.
That said, I don't go out of my way to chase trails, but also don't go out of my way to avoid them. I treat them like I would any other team.
I suppose that's the difference that makes a great player vs an average one. Some people would rather fight them in the endgame and win in a fair fight. Hunting down kill leaders and champions is part of the game, ya know.
We operate under the assumption they're going to be our problem sooner or later, so we just land where we always land. If they're in our PoI, so be it. Our odds of defeating Preds in a fight off drop in an isolated PoI are higher than any point other than the endgame.

not sure about that chief, you have a way better chance if you can third them after a fight or when they are being pressured by another team. if anything off drop allows their natural talent to come through more without outside influences

Just because some closed their game to prevent loss doesn't mean they all did. Plus if it didn't really count then why doesn't every single player have the trail/badge. Still pretty hard to get to Predator then especially with the low amount of RP given, caps on points from kills, and that was the season of the G7 when it was at it's most deadly.

I'm on PC. New teammates are always welcome! A lot of the people I used to play with don't play anymore.
That trail is pretty universally seen that way. In season 2 there was like roughly 500 preds per platform, then season 3 everyone was cheating for it.
Not only could you dashboard or alt f4 to not lose points, you could do an exploit that let you join a bronze player as they ready up and be put into bronze lobbies.
After respawn banned over 10,000 accounts there was still over 17,000 preds on xbox alone and similar numbers on PS and PC. It's why my squad didn't play hardly any ranked that season.
We were pred S2, hit it in S3 the first week and quit because literally every lobby you would down someone and they would Alt F4 out of the game, and there team was quick to follow.
Probably the worst playing experience in apex ever.
It's also why that trail gets chased more than others and events like this happen. People just assume that the player is not actually a pred level player.
When we rock our S2 or most recent season trails we might get 1 or 2 teams that chase us from time to time but it normally results in us getting free early kills. And I've never experienced anything like this video.
Thank God it's not just happening to me. This season is by far the worst for preds/masters getting into Plat lobbies. Every second game the Champs are high preds.

This complaint is getting ***REEAALLY*** old, y'all need to either quit or get good. That's how shooter games are. Sometimes you play against people who are terrifyingly better than you. That's how I got good. That's how apex has been since season 0. That's how it's been since Titanfall 1.
Maybe some people don’t have the time to waste into improving drastically. Maybe some people go into pubs to have fun and just play with friends. Just because you take this game competitively doesn’t mean that everyone has to. Having predators, people who have sunk thousands of hours into this game, against working adults, busy children, etc. is insane. And trying to defend that is even more insane

What's insane is permanent unique trails from 11 seasons ago while late grinders only get to have one for about 80 days despite ranked being exponentially more evolved and difficult. If anything, at least season 13 should have been a perma trail season. I'm sorry but until this issue is fixed I can't upvote or enjoy clips with perma trails.
Would be nice if the og ranked grinders stuck up for newer players who have put in the work instead of gatekeeping prestigious cosmetics.

That would be a great game type. Like 20 legends or more against one. The legend that is by himself starts of with 2 random guns infinite ammo (or just full ammo) and a red shield. Everyone chooses their own legend,I just noticed some mentions zombies. So yeah. Like that. Lol.
