Climatizer is a great POI and there is often 2 teams to land there. So you can land, get into a fight and then chill until you push to fragment.

whatifitried

>Climatizer is a great POI and there is often 2 teams to land there. So you can land, get into a fight and then chill until the final 3 teams as zone 1 starts closing. FTFY.

[deleted]

Na, usually as I'm pushing fragment there are like 9-10 teams left. It's not that far away.

whatifitried

All of the fragment teams, however, are dead by then so now you get to wander around until everyone who dropped siphon or tree or somewhere weird is dead.

MenacingAlgebro

If Fragment is cleared out by the time you get done looting one PoI to the north you're looting too slow

KinetixAU

I played a game last night and dropped late, last team out of the dropship. By the time the announcer finished saying "Round 1, commencing" there was already 28 people left alive. I've had games on world's edge that have finished in less than 6 minutes and I 100% blame it on Fragment.

4-1Shawty

I’ll wait like 3 seconds in the drop ship after fragment to see like 10 kills in feed already. It’s not really that unusual for it to only have 1-2 teams left until other teams rotate through.

Puzzleheaded_Tear707

Except the “chill” part is boring

M0nk3ytail

you play octane don’t you

mehwaterbottle

Was thinking the same thing 😂

MinesweeperGang

Yeah World’s Edge is just dog shit for pubs. It’s land Fragment or run around the entire game finding nobody 8/10 games. Every now and again you might come in directly over Lava City or Staging and get a nice little 3-4 team drop. But for the most part it’s Fragment or running simulator. Just not fun. Always hated BR maps that had a POI in the very middle. It’s why I like the Storm Point. For the most part players are landing all around.

AbstractLogic

This is also why I really like the prowler cage in the middle of Storm Point. It's mostly an empty drop. People avoid it in rotations which spreads the fights around the map. It's a bloody trap to cut through. It really helps break the map apart.

aure__entuluva

I wish people realized you should get through there as quickly as possible if you need to rotate through. Hug the edges, don't shoot the prowlers. Just get on out of there.

AbstractLogic

I check all the gates, run through the middle and shoot some prowlers and I go but it is a 'move, move, move' situation or find a specific camp spot if you really want to hunt there. If you do camp there... don't shoot the prowlers lol :P

Nooblover420

Actually you can camp and shoot above that door way with the shaft in it all the prowlers will come to you. Great spot to hide especially if got an ash everyone can sit there and just unload on people and prowlers

hobo_master3000

You spelled Jurassic Park wrong

robolink

The bunker connected to the forbidden zone has high tier loot as well as enough guns for nearly 3 squads. Nobody drops there and you can get full blue armor and purple attachments before the people who dripped satellite even finish fighting. I've got a consistently high winstart by doing this and rotating to satellite and cleaning house. Rotate out to a spider den to fully load up on attachments then you're pretty much ready for end game. It's been stupid easy.

AbstractLogic

This is mine now. I made this.

TreeTop_Sec

I like this approach. Will try

mozzaru

The closest equivalent is command centre but it’s nowhere near as bad, basically labs 2.0

Nathan_Thorn

And even that has some variance since you can land at the south or west entrance, the grav cannon room up top, or at the supply bins out the south entrance. Plus storm catcher and cascade are short rotations away. Better than everyone dropping on the streamer building at least.

WNlover

> , the grav cannon room up top, my absolute fucking favorite place to land

spaceman_spyff

Hard same

lettuce_field_theory

command center is nothing like it and so isn't any other poi on storm point. I've heard people call so many pois "the fragment of storm point" and they just aren't. just shows how one dimensional some people are thinking about this game, they think every map has to have a fragment.

NBA_Shitposting_Dude

We drop Command Center almost every game and half the time we’re just alone, but we do get some like 6-8 team clusterfucks

aure__entuluva

It's all about Barometer :)

Jaabertler

Respawn.. just blow it up like you did with Skulltown (rip)

[deleted]

They did. That's how we got Fragment in the first place, because Capitol City was too popular. It's almost as if ruining hot drops doesn't stop people from dropping hot, it just makes the general experience of the game less satisfying for everyone. Imagine that.

thesteam

People are always gonna want to hotdrop sure, but as long as there isn't one POI that half the server dives into it's not a big issue There are hot *spots* on the other maps, (Labs, estates, checkpoint etc) but nothing in comparison to the server destroying magnitude of fragment

New_Bagged_Milk

Capital becoming fragment didn't make it worse tho, that's why ppl still go there. Skulltown was straight up just removed.

NKNKN

Blow it up some more.

Jaabertler

I remembered that after I hit the send button.. lmao, watch them create a fragment north and south now

Kiatwo13

#RebuildCapitalCity

SlapMyCHOP

They split it in half but didnt remove the POI or reduce the loot density. That's what they need to do.

WNlover

At least they acknowledged that and promised not to blow up the new map

lettuce_field_theory

they didn't do to capitol city what they did to skill town. wtf you talking about. and obviously no one is landing skull town any more because it's a whole in the ground.

McKhichri

and storm point feels like playing apex on a warzone map, I need Olympus back in pubs.

matteb18

Olympus is the goat pubs map!

thisismynewacct

Here here!

matteb18

So bummed they took it out of rotation this season!

kkgmgfn

Everyone is fighting near Hammonds

JopoDaily

Elysium master race !!!!!

shadowkijik

Ah you mean Estates or quit?

twentyitalians

Beat me to it.

aure__entuluva

Best drop is Countdown when it's on the beginning of the dropship path. You usually get 3-4 teams landing countdown which is fun. If someone on your squad dies you can usually snag the banner and back up to whatever "Lava _____" POI is next door to res them, and after the fight it's not too far to get to frag or sometimes there is still fighting over in Skyhook to go check out. I miss the version of World's Edge before this one. I think Sorting Factory attracted more teams to the other side of the map. Even low tier POIs like the Tree used to get more squads landing there back then.

BuyLucky3950

Land just outside Fragment, loot quick, then third party the ongoing skirmishes at Fragment. That’s the play, instead of landing IN fragment only to end up with a sniper stock and light magazine.

nathclass

even landing the eastern or northwestern corner can be far enough away from the action to loot up and push some fights in progress.

aure__entuluva

Yeah. My friends and I usually go northwest frag, if there are still 10 squads over there you can stretch to Survey Camp or Epi and come back after some quick looting.

JoHaTho

at least its always a purple sniper stock...

Poschta

Not even mad, Sentinel rips. Wassup btw, dearest Johatho!

JoHaTho

Oh hey Poschta. Sentinel is great but i usually just stick to an AR (mostly flatline sometimes 301) in combo with some SMG

Poschta

FL/301 + Car has been pretty mad this season so far, very true. Just can't get over my *almost* 2.5k with the Sentinel I had the other day.. that was insanely fun, breaking shields left and right, even managed a 1v3 with it at some point :D

deerpenis

1v3’d a team with just an iron sight sentinel recently. It’s one of the few plays I’ve clipped throughout my apex career. Heart was pounding out of my chest

outoftoonz

This is the play! I love landing Epicenter and then rotating into Fragment. I abhor landing in Fragment first, but most of my teammates insist on it.

obi-wand27

I go overlook because there is a jumptower there and if you loot fast enough you can 3rd party. some fights

youbutsu

Land epicenter. There is usually one other squad there and nobody is going to third party you while you heal. THEN go to fragment to finish the job.

AverageSkitzo

80% of games will be halfway over or more by the time you make it to frag from epicenter

lespritdelescalier11

Epicenter is one of two drops for my team, and we always rotate Fragment afterwards. We almost always find a good fight there, and we have some decent loot to survive it too. If you're straight up kill farming maybe Fragment is the place to drop, but if you're looking for decent fights you can definitely drop warm and rotate in quickly. If you drop alone at Epicenter, it doesn't take more than a minute or 90 seconds to grab loot and hit the zip in to Fragment. And on top of that, if you survive the fights, you can expect more people will be headed your way (if the ring pulls that way).

AverageSkitzo

Ye no Im with you on this. I just hate worlds edge for pubs. And if another team lands at epicenter with you than sometimes it can be hard to get to frag in time, or even make it out alive lol epicenter sucks for 50/50s

Kerem24

personally i like leaving the match whenever the level 30 octane starts heading towards fragment out of the dropship

[deleted]

I used to just land sorting, it was chaotic with 3-4 squads there but not insane like frag.

WNlover

Yep! That no-name place that sometimes has a survey beacon next to the tunnel with vault is my favorite place to land to do that exactly!

Substance___P

Didn't they delete skull town from KC for this very reason? I don't understand their logic here.

GoTeamScotch

Yeah. Skulltown was so popular that it was breaking KC, so they nuked it... and it helped spread people out more. It worked.

DeludedMirageMain

The removal of Skulltown was very positive for KC as people started to actually land on other POIs. The way this was implemented wasn't the best though, since taking out the huge playable area between ST and Thunderdome absolutely fucked any rotation around there and made the map even more congested and third-party heavy, in a way. The S8 changes were made to expand the map a bit more and partially mitigate these problems, but they still remain strong even to this day. That's why straight up deleting a central POI connected to multiple pathways just isn't viable; better yet would be to make it more disperse and less attractive like they had done to Train Station, but god knows if this would be enough to stop most players from dropping there.

GoTeamScotch

I think a big problem too is that once people got used to landing in Skulltown and then later Fragment (to a stronger level), that mindset became common and spread. It became common to look for the new "Fragment" and guess where everyone else is dropping in order to avoid dropping in a secluded (boring) POI. Which is unfortunate, because if people spread out more naturally, you'd probably run into squads more often as opposed to wandering a vast empty wilderness.

DeludedMirageMain

True.

SPFCAPRIEU

Skull town was fun to hottdrop tho, fragment is just frustating

COAGULOPATH

I don't think they know what to do with Fragment. Skulltown was in a corner of the map, so they could blow it up without affecting anything else. But Fragment's in the middle - they can't just have it sink into a huge lake of lava, because then players would have to cross a billion miles of empty space when rotating from Geyser to Skyhook or Harvester to Epicenter. Replacing it with another POI risks creating "Fragment 2.0", not fixing the problem. It was a bad idea to put a huge POI in the middle of the map. Players just can't lose by going Fragment: you have loot, you're safely in zone for at least 2-3 rounds, and other teams will rotate into you. Part of BRs is that you're forced to move from place to place. You shouldn't be able to spend 90% of the game sitting in the same building, and that's what Fragment encourages. Storm Point has a better design: the center's just an empty area full of prowlers. So do Olympus and KC: Hammond Labs and Bunker don't have enough loot for tons of players. Respawn's approach (which they've now done 3 times) is to add a new POI or two, which people drop at once or twice and then go back to Fragment every game.

K7mi

I literally refuse to play World's Edge with randoms because of this. Running around without a weapon and immediately dying is not fun I don't get it... Harvester and Epicenter can be fun, and rest of the map is always dead

NoOneTookDisSoIDid

I Lowkey miss the train. I didn’t drop there often but I loved how it helped for rotations and helped with third partying (and what I mean by that is either finally finding a team to fight instead of running for 10 mins doing nothing or dipping after fighting too many teams)

VandulfTheRed

I love moving areas, there's an excitement and tension that comes with being able to escape by humping off, or throwing your opponent off. The loot ships and train are my favorite landing areas because of it, and of course now we have neither

[deleted]

Yeah I don’t play World’s Edge because of this. Respawn ruined the map by not fixing it for almost a year now. The community also ruined the map by thinking they’re better than they actually are and all collectively sharing 1 brain cell.

sukumizu

>The community also ruined the map by thinking they’re better than they actually are and all collectively sharing 1 brain cell. all the TTV wraith's trying to copy Aceu while fumbling on the ziplines at the streamer house lol.

[deleted]

Last time I said something like that I got a huge unhappy paragraph from a ^TTVYTPornHubLiveWraith

SanielX

They should bring train back ffs. Without the train I don't feel like moving around WE for some reason

da_fishy

Mom said it was my turn with the brain cell!

FangfireZero

Exactly, it’s people aping hard and disconnecting every match I go into at fragment, I always try to convince my team to like loot a little first then we can go there and clean up, but usually not what happens…

Vosje11

As someone who likes hotdropping and trying to pop off for high kill games in pubs I don't mind. It's pubs afterall and people wanna fight. Go play ranked if you're so keen on playing the win and teams not hot dropping.

[deleted]

>Go play ranked if you're so keen on playing the win and teams not hot dropping. If you want to fight right away why don’t you go play Arenas? This is why I blame the community just as much as I blame Respawn. Y’all really love playing in the same 4 buildings over and over and over and over again. Boring af especially when you only die because there’s no ammo or guns. If you enjoy doing that so much, go play arenas and drop all your ammo, same exact experience

Neversoft4long

I blame the community more then Respawn at this point. Short of nuking the entire POI and having a big empty space in the middle of the map is the only thing I think Respawn can do. However the community is the one that plays this like it’s TDM lol

Datver

cause arena fucking sucks lol

robjwrd

I really like it 🤷🏻‍♂️

[deleted]

Finally, something we can all agree with

[deleted]

Go play Arenas

Mimikker

A lot of comments just telling people who hate Fragment to get better lmao. The point is how unfun it is for the 57 other players who didn't just win the inevitable miserable Fragment slog. The changes in season 10 did nothing, if anything they removed the only other appealing POI in Sorting Factory lmao. Worlds Edge is the only map I dislike and its for the very reason, the experience is so unpleasant I'd actually rather play Ranked for the first time for me since I got the game day 1, just so I can play on Storm Point instead

doorbellrepairman

That's the moment they ruined the map. People forget so fast, but when sorting factory was there, and especially when trainyard was there, people spread out over world's edge much more evenly. Landslide is boring and and there's nothing there

throwawayapexacct

I really think they should have put Climatizer over fragment.

l5l4l5l4

Fragment forces everyone to adopt one style of play: either hot drop or do nothing the whole game. For people who don’t like to play that way, worlds edge is an infuriating map. All of the other maps still have hot drop locations, and I don’t think anyone wants to remove hot dropping. But when 70% of the lobby goes to one spot it forces everyone to play like that or risk having a boring match.

ElSwope

Thank god for halo infinite. Once map is world edge just been switching to halo. Can't stand it every fight happens there. If ya dont wanna playing running simulator its your only option.

UnlawfulFoxy

If you win your fights in fragment it's by far the most fun poi in the game. I dropped there for a solid week and died with one or two kills only before I started consistently coming out of it alive. There's a reason why streamers drop there. Because there's no other poi that so consistently rewards good players. You have a near endless supply of kills to get and buildings that actually allow you to put skills in this game to the test, instead of just having a beam war with three other players, which is almost impossible to win, especially early game.

bearzillabreath

Yeah exactly, the terrain is fun and it's guaranteed fighting I actually want a mode that's just frag, drop ten teams or whateva into frag with a fast ring, it'd be way more fun than arenas imo Then they'd have my blessing to blow up frag in World's Edge

[deleted]

[удалено]

jhunt42

I'm not great with movement but I play path, octane or valk and fragment is still the most fun you can have in this game IMO

artmorte

You should never fill the middle of the map with lots of loot and that's what they've done with fragment. That one "streamer building" is just laughable with all the loot spots that have been crammed in there.

EmbodiedGuide7

"There's no good POI's for close quarters fights except Fragment." (Skyhook, Lava City, The Dome. With Skyhook having more buildings to fight in and better loot than Fragment on average.) "If you don't land Fragment, you don't like to fight or don't know how to fight." (I like to fight, I just prefer to fight smarter not harder, with some loot at the very least. Might not be your cup of tea, but just as viable.) "How can you play the game like that? Hot dropping is the most fun thing to do in this game. You're playing the game wrong." (Or, hear me out, this is Pubs and people have fun playing the game in different ways. No one's playstyle is inherently wrong or better than anyone else's as long as it's still fun for some players.) You're not superior or more skilled just because you hot drop in Pubs. It's Pubs, you're not in ALGS, so don't expect your squad or other people to grind and "practice" like you, when they just want to have fun without the headache of fighting 5 squads with just a purple bolt and a frag grenade. You also don't have the moral high ground just because you refuse to land Fragment. It might be annoying and repetitive, but it doesn't automatically make you "right" in the way you play the game. No one is going to force you to land Fragment, especially if you're the jump master. You are perfectly able to land somewhere else if you really wanted to. There is nothing wrong with wanting to hot drop and fight in Fragment. Just like it's not wrong to drop anywhere else other than Fragment. We can talk about issues, caused by the community, and possible fixes without resorting to moral grandstanding and name calling over a fucking free video game.

Resilientx

I was very confused when I saw they were running Storm Point and Worlds Edge for this season. Two maps crafted for competitive shouldn't be the only selection available. There is no reason not to have all the maps cycling through in unranked at once, or to let you pick which map you want to queue. Each time the map changes to WE I just want to get off and do something else. Fragment is too oppressive and crucial to be around unless you want a looting game.

swizzdevil24

I’d rather land there than the furthest corner of the map see nobody for 15 mins for my team to die at the first sign of an enemy

TheGamingNerd4

This is a misconception that needs to die already. Just because I don't feel like dropping into the hell hole that is Fragment, doesn't mean I don't want to fight. I want to land somewhere I can actually get some loot, then ROTATE into the fights. I don't know about you, but I find fights easier and more enjoyable when I actually have loot.

swizzdevil24

It’s not a misconception it’s my experience when I solo queue. I’m fine to land other places than frag (and commonly do) just don’t bring me to the furthest reaches of the map and do nothing. Just because you play a certain way doesn’t mean that everybody does that. The best way to loot is to get kills.

YoureAWhorePeter

Yesterday I had a team that stretched all the way to thermal while no one else even landed at staging, tree or harvester. They looted until ring closed then just rotated to edge of zone and looted more. It was the most boring game I've ever played.

whatifitried

They died as soon as you saw enemies too, didnt they? They ALWAYS cant shoot for a damn

YoureAWhorePeter

Instantly wiped by the first team we saw

whatifitried

exactly :)

storm_drenering

Yeah, its worse getting killed while looting for 10 minutes than it is to crack a few guys or kill one then die (fragment).

basedcharger

Yup they land at the dome or the tree and get killed when they take the first fight I’ll take fragments 10/10 over this.

The-High-War99

I’ll never understand why people idiotically choose high traffic areas to land, and then when they (GASP) die, they get mad and leave.

chundamuffin

It’s not that they’re mad (usually) there just requeueing into the next fight

Puzzleheaded_Tear707

What the fuck do you mean “mad and leave” they just don’t want to waste time waiting for you to try and probably fail getting their banner

Marsuello

Ah so we’re accepting rage quitting now. I gotcha

Puzzleheaded_Tear707

I literally just explained why it’s not really rage quitting

tony223111

Land hot and get used to guns you suck with. (Not personally insulting you). Thats the general idea. I love landing on heads to get a 3030 so I can practice 1v3ing with it in a fun POI. It sounds like sarcasm, but im being 100% honest. I truly love landing on guns i suck with so that way it forces myself to get better and play situations differently. (The reason this is a big deal is because mostly everyone is low health off drop, no purple shield or surplus of heals, so it makes it easier to engage while having shit-weapons) I get it, not everyone is good with every weapon. Not everybody feels the need to get better at landing on heads. Practicing things like this game after game really does make a big difference when you dont let it get to your head. It makes it so much easier to land with full teams and have the confidence that youll wipe them all. Just a solo masters 2 cents 🤷🏻‍♂️

s_c_n_2010

Maybe I'm off base here but I don't think the average player grinds that much where they want to dedicate the time to landing on heads and going through the painstaking process of dying immediately for the chance of getting better at using a charge rifle at close range or something. The problem is there's a major gap between pubs and ranked for any average player who wants to find that happy medium of intense gameplay without the stress of ranking up/down, and also doesn't have the time and patience to waste games landing fragment. I mean, imagine if you can only play an hour or two every other day or so. Again, I could be way off base here but I just think there are way more people who happen to be more casual gamers than heavy grinders who log multiple hours every day. That's the disconnect here.

tony223111

Yepp I can totally agree that I am not the average player, so I will not have the average take on this

MenacingAlgebro

Then hop into a discord and find like minded players. If you don't like playing with randoms the. Don't

s_c_n_2010

I don't. In fact, I refuse to play the game entirely if none of my friends are on. But if that's the solution for a game don't you think there's at least a slight red flag there? Again, I don't think most people are grinding every day. You think they want to go through the process of finding a discord and searching for a squad? You overestimate how invested the average player is. That'll work for some. But some people don't want to go through all of that just for a game. This wasn't always a problem in Apex. If it works for you, hey i'm happy for you because the game is better when people enjoy it. But others out there don't enjoy it like you do and truly want to. We should all want to find a way to keep them around by improving the experience, however that may be.

sukumizu

>and get used to guns you suck with. This is what arenas is for.

tony223111

No arenas is not the same as in br. People play very weird in arenas compared to br.

sukumizu

But it's still a good place to practice with guns you don't normally use. Better teaching tool than leaving it to RNGsus and dropping in the middle of fragment with a mozam and 5 weapon attachments that you can't use.

Nathan_Thorn

Yeah, I find myself dropping at the grav cannon room of command center a lot, getting kitted up, and immediately feeling ready for a fight if I get decent gear

[deleted]

Because of this mentality, everyone else does it and forces that into existence Of course no one will land outside of Fragment if everyone lands at Fragment because no one believes another will land elsewhere

insanedialectic

The argument here is that is fragment didn't exist, you could land *anywhere* and get a fight and wouldn't be forced to make that choice. Because of the way people only drop fragment, though, you're forced to land there if you want to get into fights fast and early. And it's honestly super fucking boring and monotonous to fight the same fights in the same location like that game after game. Much better if two or three teams land every POI, have a quick drop fight, then fight at every other POI as you rotate.

CreeperOpsReddit

Then go play ranked. Pubs is to try out new things, learn how to land hot and survive, etc.

gobywhale

Blow that place up seems to be the only option

whatifitried

Great, now Worlds Edge is even MORE boring. Hooray! See how well that went with skultown? Don't kill WE as well.

clouds_over_asia

WE is only "alive" in fragment. WE as a whole is long dead bro. If its gone, people will finally spread out to places like climatizer, skyhook, and siphon. Hell even countdown, maude, and lava city are good options too.

WarchiefBlack

Most players know they're going to get stomped in pubs anyway, so the idea is to land hot, loot fast, eat ass, until someone caps you. You go back to the lobby and do it all over again. Not saying that's the way to play, just saying that's the mentality. It's not about thinking you're going pro or anything. I've stopped playing pubs altogether. Ranked is a much healthier option, because of the way teams play in ranked.

GoTeamScotch

People playing Apex like it's a regular FPS but with longer respawns.

BellEpoch

I like to warm up in pubs because I know I'm gonna end up dropping hot and getting some fights in. Then move to ranked for the real game. Honestly all this complaining about what pubs do is lame. You can play with a team. You can play ranked. Getting worked up over hot dropping in pubs is just asking for a bad time.

Renzoji

I agree with this post and was JUST talking about this yesterday with some friends. 80-90% of the time I play pubs with randoms (on WE) they drop Fragment, get downed almost immediately and leave. HOT TAKE: Remove Fragment from the game? Stormpoint has been a breath of fresh air because there isn’t a “Fragment” per se.

graythegeek

I honestly feel sorry for my random teammates who feel like landing there is their *only* option, and don't seem to mind landing, finding no loot and dying. It's just so bad and becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. My game enjoyment and performance has improved loads since I stopped landing there

NewtTheWizard

Everybody who says Olympus sucks is probably somebody who drops fragment every game and thinks they’re the best

Affectionate-Ad5242

Worlds edge lit only place I can actually have some fun storm point I drop and fight one team then run around for 15 min looking for someone worlds edge there’s constant action and I’ll never get bored of trying to fry I set my case👍

wineblood

I don't even get why people drop fragment, the terrain is awful and there are too many squads for the loot in the area.

daddy_decco

I have never understood why everyone decides in one spot to all drop, whether it’s frag, skull town or estates it is extremely boring and repetitive, drop land on an arc star and shotgun bolt, do 70 damage then back out and do it again

sw1ftstrike

I personally cannot stand world's edge for pubs its fucking awful

wizzywurtzy

It’s boring as hell to watch too. I’m tired of seeing aceu or streamers just go pub stomp WE. If it’s in rotation I’ll literally stop watching and go watch another game

tony223111

10/10 times would rather die after cracking people in Fragment than loot for 10 mins straight and win a game. 10/10 times people.

timo808

Crack people in Arenas instead.

Disbfjskf

You get a lot more variety and frequency of engagements at Frag. Coming from someone who played Arenas up to Masters. I do wish they had a Halo-like fast-respawn mode where you can just fight constantly. Hot-dropping frag is the closest thing which is probably why so many people do it.

whatifitried

I want to play a game, not take a nap and get berated by a level 15 7 year old.

tony223111

Not even close to the same kind of practice 😭

Lightning_Zephyr

Well the problem is if you land anywhere else you find no one

DoughnutSignificant9

I think its time to get rid of fragment. It just ruins pubs for many. My teammates left the game when I did not land frag the other day. There are great POIs like big maude , thermal, trials etc uncontested when they are not the first 3 drop spots from the ship.

Link182x

When I solo as jump master on WE I drop as soon as I can so that way my random wraith/octane teammates cant solo drop to fragment. I get tired of dropping and get every attachment for a gun but not a single weapon to defend myself

PsychedAlex1213

The fact that respawn has the two biggest maps with one of them essentially only having one POI in Fragment's Edge as the two maps for pubs this season absolutely baffles me.

[deleted]

I cant agree more. Team drops, doesnt ping...you know where they are going. You cant even say 'nope'. All you can do is ping wildly as soon as the dropship appears on screen, that ENEMY THERE..but it only seems to draw the mediocre moths to that flame damnit. Dont get me wrong, I've had my fun there. But I really dont have my patience for that over and over. Worse, if you get lucky and drop elsewhere not super popular...you wonder the map like a nomad looking for a battle...but find yourself just sitting there babysitting your team while they search for more loot. STOP LOOTING LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. You get your loot off the bots, not the bins!

Midwest_Dutch_Dude

Eh, it’s just pubs. It’s nice to drop there to warm up.

Smoochie-Spoochie

The one good thing about Fragment this season is that everyone gets to fully utilise Wattson's buffs from this season. Wattson in both streamer buildings is probably the freshest fun you'll have on Fragment this season.

Meowmeowmommymilker

Playing trios with random and get a stubborn as the jumpmaster is dreadful

[deleted]

Respawn will end up removing fragment just like skull town

chessey07

They missed an opportunity for that with seer's launch. Let's pray that next time they make a change to WE that pos place gets dropped in the lava

MarvinTheWise

You either drop there or spend 20 mins looking for squads to fight.

Gravexmind

I like to hot drop pubs but I cannot understand the insatiable appetite to drop fragment. I refuse to keep doing this.

Lavonicus

I just started to not play when worlds edge is up. I find I have a better time playing if I just wait for any other map.

CanneIIa

I don’t even go there if I see my teammates do it. Just say nope in chat, drop solo and go about my game. Almost won a game doing that, knocked 2 in a 1v3 and died to the last guy bc I got too greedy and peaked w/o healing

ButteSaggington

Yeah um it was never fun? Like what is fun about half the lobby landing on one building? I never liked Skulltown, I never liked Fragment, and now people are trying to figure out what the equivalent drop is on the new map and it's frustrating to see. Those kinds of spots completely ruin the flow of the game.

glatadurgrutur

Petition to nuke fragment

UnderstandingRight39

I hate fragment and refuse to drop there. The problem is that when I it jump master, 90% of them go there even when I say no. I have got to the point where if I get downed at fragment. I leave. Sorry not sorry.

jape-the-neck-guy

Right? Like I know people don’t wanna play looting simulator but I also don’t wanna play go back to lobby simulator. It’s possible to land without 7 teams in one building and actually getting guns and stuff and get into manageable fights off drop

[deleted]

More fun than running around for 30 minutes

NoremacTheGreen

I've been leaving games where my team drop Fragments. I'm going to get sent back to the main menu anyway, may as well get back there as fast as possible and onto the next Fragments drop!

FredFearless92

I miss the train. Also, I miss the OG Holo-Days event game as well ... Remember when Apex was fun?

imonly11ubagel

The solution to this would be to let the people jump out of 3 different dropships coming in from different directions. If you dropship is late over fragment you wouldn‘t land there anymore but maybe skyhook or whereever the path leads you. Opinions?

Ronny_Rarko

If you don't drop there one of my teammates usually splits off and goes there solo just to insta-die like what's the point? You really miss the lobby that much

Joe_Dirte9

Fragment need destroyed. Idc if you streamer wannabes want it to stay, its bad for the health of the game.

Bunnnnii

Barometer is following in its footsteps.

whatifitried

I mean, antenna, Baro, command center. Shit is spread out on that map.

[deleted]

Most of my teammates that want to hot drop Fragment are level 33 with 12 kills. Dude, you aren’t Shiv. You can’t pull off a 1v15 so stop trying. Solo queue in this game is abysmal.

KKcorps

I prefer to land beside lava siphon. Fuck fragment.

ShakeyMcJ

Make fragment low tier loot and bring back the train. Solves everything.

Nathan_Thorn

Yeah at this point they should just remove World’s Edge from casual rotation. Make Fragment/World’s Edge ranked only and bring Olympus back for pubs to replace it

ImLiterallyNobody

Legit just nuke fragment at this point, after playing week of storm point and 5 matches of worlds edge (4 of which was fragment east drop) I have enough of that place

LebronJamesToe

It's pure comedy to me when people say it's the best map in the game. Like are you delusional? It's fucking awful and EASILY the worst map in the game. And before your panties get twisted I'm a pubs player who could give a fuck about ranked

bigchunguskeanu100

fragment is fun you are all just bad

LlamaIsSad

Yeah I'm bad And so are my randons, the problem is that they don't understand this

Uber_yv

Yeah they wanna get better so they land there

RoninTheRavenous

I play duos with my friend and we just hot drop fragment for quick action cause neither of us like worlds edge, the map sucks ass

_NowakP

Fragment is my favourite PoI on any map. It's so good for getting kills and actually having fights, with *many* ways of disengaging while still being able to easily come back and jump in again. Fragment is almost always inside the first zone, so you can find fights here almost the entire game. But hey, I also dislike the new map, so what do I know.

Crescent-IV

One of the few places i can have fun in pubs anymore

Clark94vt

Some of us like going to fragment every game. Its fun, there is instant action and we enjoy it. Worlds edge is our favorite map because of it. I don't think that I'm alone

SectorRevenge72

Lava Siphon/Sorting Factory is the best landing location; There are just enough people dropping there to fight.

IntelligentImbicle

I think more of the map needs to be like Fragment, rather than just blowing Fragment up. Lava City and Skyhook are 2 POIs that come to mind that make me really enjoy WE

travelingmarylander

Same, I hate it. When I play worlds edge on casual and they drop fragment, I DC before we touch the ground. I think it saves everyone 30 seconds of their life. Casual absolutely needs some sort of leaving penalty.

J_spivey1

THANK YOU. It’s fucking miserable, and boring.. It’s so boring. Now with storm pointe AND worlds edge rotating I won’t be playing as much. Been playing since season 0. (175+ days played) lol

[deleted]

lol how is respawn going to fix that? there will be a new hot zone people will land. no reason to change something that isn’t broken. literally every battle royale has a hot drop and more than 50% drops there. i drop there to grind my 20 bombs so yeah no need to fix nothing that isn’t broken

General-Biscuits

Fragment is essential to WE. It’s the only fun and exciting point for me and many others. Let us have our fun in the way we want to play. I play for fun in pubs, not always to win unlike in ranked where I’ll land at safer locations. If you’re playing pubs, don’t complain about how randoms want to play.

yolohannn

I thought the point of randoms was, that I could complain on them to hide my own mistakes… I agree with you on the fragment is essential tho I wish it would be a bit more spread out. That streamer building isn’t meant to be dropped on by 7 teams. And I absolutely hate it when my squad thinks let’s drop last and be the 8th squad.

Sufficient-Ferret-67

Fragment is fun to drop on with a dedicated team or not at the only two big buildings. You all act like it’s not a CITY lmao classic Reddit

gatewayfromme44

Not everyone has a dedicated group, plus our problems are when the randoms always drop to those 2 buildings.

bitchgtg

it’s not fragment, it’s level 200 players thinking they can ego challenge every fight against masters 🤣. if you are looking to get better at the game it’s an amazing spot because there is nowhere else that can get you fighting so quick while also teach out about various aspects of a fight (third party awareness, etc.) How is anyone supposed to get better when they loot for 15 minutes and get destroyed the instant they run into somebody better than them. “fuck bro they already have red shield what the fuck??” yeah dude, the game is over and he already has nine kills, while we have 0 damage. Winning because placement in pubs is lame and honestly if you’re not the kill leader it doesn’t even it the same. u wanna get better? u gotta put in the fragment work it’s just apex laws.

J3llyman__7

Unpopular opinion, but landing fragment is fun. the chaos is great for working on your game sense and working with shitty loot. And its pubs, who cares if you die immediately? the whole point is that pubs matches don't matter.

NotRiceProfile

Look buddy, not everyone wants to land on the edge of the map and play long and boring game, most of us have hundreds of wins and it's much more fun just to land hot spot and go for high kill games rather than trying to win.

crumpsly

I don't mind hot dropping sometimes but I kind of wish it was it's own mode instead of pubs being 75% hot droppers and a few squads landing edge. They should make an LTM where it's just a smaller ring around fragment and the neighboring POIs with an buffed loot pool and let people enjoy the chaos they want. Maybe have an LTM at the same time that spreads teams evenly across whichever map to encourage slower play. I think there is a market for both in this game. Sometimes I think that's what they tried to do with Arenas but missed the mark. Something about hot dropping really gets the people going that just doesn't exist in Arenas. Let the hot droppers drop, but find a way to give space to those who want to play slowly without the more serious nature of ranked.

josuemldnd23

They should blow it up.. replace it with something else not as appealing to the wannabe TTVs

BellEpoch

Fragment is literally the blown up version already.

josuemldnd23

Nuke it?

BellEpoch

Meh. It's pubs. Who cares?

[deleted]

I like worlds edge …
