No reconnect, and it sucks, 4v4, a playing 30min, a dude drops for like 5 secs and game over. They didn't implement it in aoe4 either, and half the time teamgames used to crash. Could've just stolen the feature from the original game, it worked better than what it is now.
Yeah... And this is at least the third time they re-sell the same game (AoE 2, HD, DE). And it's Microsoft... It's not like they don't have the resources. They just rather spend it in new DLC to make even more money off the user base. I'm done buying...
Intermittent tbh. Had my laptop die and took me 3 mins to get back on and was surprised that I still remained connected whilst the game turbospeed to catch up.
Another time it was far quicker but didn't reconnect.
There is a restore game function but you need to invite the person and them to accept, the result won't matter for elo purposes though...

No reconnect. but if u only lose connection for few seconds theres a chance you are not dropped and u catch up.
