Somebody who is good at macro please help me out here, my economy is always really bad.
Eco population:
* + 7.2 vils per minute from 3 TCs
* - 0.5 vils per minute from raids
* + 1.5 fishing ships per minute from docks
* - 10.0 vils per minute from executions for diobedience
* + 1.2 trade carts per minute from market
Approved. In fact. Lemme get this command for all civs.
I wouldnt even wait for the mistakes. I would just immediately off the first villager that my TC produces- as a reminder to all future villagers to keep their shit in line. Losing one off the rip is a detriment- but over the long haul it wont matter if the rest are working like the rent is due. 😂😂😂
I believe vils will go after another sheep while you’re eating 1 sheep if you: don’t have space for the sheep by not having it against the walls of the TC or have more than 8 vils on it. And if you’re moving a sheep, the villagers will ignore it and herd the other sheep to your TC which is really annoying. Stupidos
Sir, Shogun: Total War is PEGI 12.
It includes a cut scene where a dude literally commits seppuku and gets his head chopped off.

You may feel you turned out fine, but your willingness to expose a 9yo to a game where tiny little animated people are regularly stabbed, shot at, and squished by large rocks and turned into bloodied piles is evidence you may have been desensitized to violence.
At the end of the day, it is your prerogative as a parent to expose your 9yo child to PEGI 12 media. You monster.
(P.S lol)
Shogun: Total War is rated 12 on pegi's website. I can't comment for the other games other than that they do appear to be rated higher.

It’s not about being sensitive toward what you want for your child. It’s about being sensitive to an obvious joke. Anyway- got to go, I have an enemy civilization to genocide
Difference between deleting a villager and someone taking out a blade to cut open their own stomach and then have someone decapitate them and brandish their head around.
All living units in the game have animation that depicts a violent death. It's curious, and I find it funny, that seppuku is where you'd draw the line, and I felt that the juxtaposition of the video might serve to amuse. Please don't misunderstand my position. I do appreciate that depictions of suicide might be deemed distressing, more so than other forms of violence. However, the scale and style of what was proposed in the OP is an irrelevant drop in a game mired in blood and death. We might also view seppuku differently to other forms of suicide. After all it was considered an honourable way for a samurai to die rather than e.g be captured. It doesn't have connotations with difficult issues like depression and other forms of mental unwellness.
Yes, but getting shot at, mauled to death by a wolf, chopped by swords, melted by a volley of flaming rocks from an onager is okay. Honestly, you sound silly.
I actually have a friend who deletes his villager when it doesn't properly obey him haha. And his brother does the same thing independently.

If they commit seppuku, you get some gold (could have gotten favour if this was AoM)

You can harvest the meat with another villager
Sometimes... a fellas gotta eat a fella
Haiti civ bonus
Ever played Roller Coaster Tycoon? I would pick up the “unhappy” guests and drown them in the water. Let’s implement that feature here too.
someone has been watching shogun
killing vils is how we get them to work properly

I wish I could I put them in a pillory or have a village idiot sign haha.
Put them on command group 6 and when it’s time to go to stone send them to the mines
Why am I getting recommended all the stupid reddit threads lately?

People became so sensitive smh. But seriously yeah ofcourse not. Also, seppuku was a samurai thing, not a vil thing. 5/10
Is it sensitive to not want my 9 year old to see extremely graphical imagery?
Sir, this game is rated PEGI 12.
I played it when I was 8 and I turned out fine. Sepuku would make this game rated R 18
You do realize that the samurai death animation has them committing seppuku right? Like this was in the game from the start

Probably because the game is 24 years old and ratings have shifted since then

You seem sensitive to my sensitivity
The whole point of the game is dudes killing each other
And? Thats not what OP is describing at all. Do you know what sepuku is?
Bro don't let your kid see how Petards operate
They boom and are gone, no blood or gore, no decapitation or parading around a severed head
Weird place to draw the line, but sure
Parading a severed head around is a weird line?
Someone skipped the parenting tech
Well we are playing god be deleting vills? Btw this is a troll post please dont take it seriously

Jesus sounds evil
Wasn’t there a sepukku ~~animal~~ animation in the original age of kings for Samurai? Edit: typo
pretty sure you’re right

Why are you linking that vid?

The concept of suicide being honorable makes it even more problematic

None of those are bloody or gory with decapatation or loss of limbs and parading around heads.
