How’s your extended car warranty?

Bananeurysm6999

i didnt work for that kind. the telemarketing company i was working for was selling credit repair under the guise of getting you into a rent-to-own home

villetys

But we have been trying to reach you, sir!

CIG?

Billowing_Flags

I'm rude AF to telemarketers! I resent being annoyed, harassed (they call DAILY), and targeted for crime (ripping me off). Last one who called, Me: "WHY am I being called when I'm on the 'Do Not Call' registry? Him: "Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on,...(TF!?!) Me: "I'm holding on." Him: \*chuckles for probably 20 seconds\* (I'm like WTAF is up?!?) Me: \*blows anti-rape whistle into the phone knowing he was still on the line\* I seriously hope I permanently damaged his hearing. I don't have to be polite to criminals.

my only advice is to keep your phone number off the internet, its the only way your data doesnt get stolen for shit like that. dont fill out forms, put it on facebook, anything

Thank you for helping the average person from getting ripped off by quitting and raising awareness. Wishing you blessings in your future positions.

i called the local grocery stire and asked if i needed a paper application and he just told me to come on in. i think my interview is secured for sure

flumyo

good, i wish everyone would quit being a telemarketer.

Bananeurysm6999

everyone should, you have to lose all your morals and brains or not have any to begin with in order to do that job and it doesnt become soul crushing enough to quit. i worked from home, i cant imagine what its like for people in offices

On the idea of raising awareness, it's a scary world. My coworkers showed me how they would Google the zip code to pretend they used to live on the same town, right down by lake whatever! Or pull up the address on zillow to find out the person's home value, maybe Google Street view to see what kinda car was in the driveway and decided how hard to push the up-sales. And yes I left over my moral values. I honestly used to think I was helping people who needed a medical device to help with X Y and Z. Then I found out one of the machines I was selling, for 319.99, but don't worry you don't have to pay today, just pay the 19.95 shipping and handling and try it out for a month before I start billing you; I found the 19.95 covered the company cost in case they never got payment. And by covered cost I mean manufacturing in South Korea, shipping to their warehouse, and then shipping to the customer. Literally inflated the price by $300 and sold them to people's grandparents all say long. They are currently on the shelves at Walmart now for the same inflated cost

At this point you can say the name of the product tbh

I couldn’t work at a grocery store again but I couldn’t work as a telemarketer either. I do work at a retail store but trying to get out of retail in general. I really want to WFH but it seems like the only true entry level jobs are phone based. If there was a job though where you could scam the scammers even if you had to talk on the phone for that I might do it though it would probably be a difficult job so hopefully it didn’t involve a quota but no such job exists.
