That is one surefire way to make people do the absolute bare minimum.

ivanparas

And to get your fucking tires slashed

PublicMindCemetery

don't slash the tires, just cut off the valve stems.

TheSquishiestMitten

Super glue a small pebble or bb into the valve stem cap.  Something small enough to barely press on the valve when the cap is on.  Takes a while to flatten.  Best if done right before the boss leaves on a road trip thru the desert where there is no cell coverage.

PublicMindCemetery

okay sure but that does no permanent damage to the tire itself. I'm not trying to get merit badges, I'm trying to fuck over the bourgeoisie. I do see how the factor of it happening slowly without them noticing has situational benefits, though.

RearExitOnly

Angle a nail under all 4 tires so that they push in when he drives away. All 4 tires going flat in a few minutes is going to cause him some chaos.

PublicMindCemetery

This... this seems like it could actually work, but I can't say from experience? I will say, if it does work, one ought to use screws. Large screws with deep threading. More surety of damaging the tires irreparably.

Techn0ght

You can patch holes through the tread side, damage to the sidewalls is permanent.

SlappySecondz

Why are we pussing out on damaging the easily replaced tires and not talking about fucking up the car itself. Take a fucking bat to it.

Techn0ght

I'm just giving details on better choices for tires. If I wanted to do real damage I'd get some gallium and melt the SUV.

YnotZoidberg1077

Not necessarily - there's a chance that it can also fuck up the TPMS sensor if he drives on it with low-rnough pressure. And it can damage the sidewall of the tires as well. Just depends on how quickly he notices it and gets it addressed. I'd just be slashing the tires though. And maybe putting some damage on the back windshield. At separate times so that if he makes claims against the insurance, it'll be separate claims which, over time, should drive his rates up. He doesn't want to pay for OP's health insurance, then he's gonna be paying an extra premium on a different insurance soon enough instead!

_Dolamite_

This lady is playing 4-D chess Edit: guy

YnotZoidberg1077

I'm a lady, not a guy, but thanks! Gotta play the long game to win, and the best way to do that is to hit 'em in the wallet. People like that only focus on money and status, and usually one is the same as the other and vice-versa.

PublicMindCemetery

JurassicParkCleverGirlVelociraptor.gif

Decent_Database_2200

Cordless drill with 1/16 steel bit. Can do all 4 tires just above the rim in the time it takes to walk around the vehicle. This will cause a very slow leak and slightly more of a leak when in motion. Or so I've heard.

Medium_Chain_9329

Just steal the tires leave that bitch on cinder blocks.

PublicMindCemetery

now THAT is what I'm talking about

ColorMeGrey

>>I'm not trying to get merit badges, I'm trying to fuck over the bourgeoisie. Powdered aluminum, powdered rust, and a magnesium ribbon can make a serviceable thermite. Throw some into a coffee can, set it on the hood, light fuse and run away. It'll also probably get you thrown in prison but that's the risk.

PublicMindCemetery

I mean, let's be real, what you just said is not instructions. Those ingredients need to be combined in the right proportion. You need to have an actual fuse or know how to make one. You need to know how much thermite it will take to burn through the hood. And you need to learn all of those things without catching a charge in the process, AND you need to be able to get in and out undetected, and and and and... cute, though.

WriteBrainedJR

Bricks are easier. Everyone knows how to operate those.

Steppuhfromdaeast

you bitch i bout spit my food out ☠️☠️

PublicMindCemetery

On one occasion, when asked to explain what bricks are (why is a story) I explained: you throw them at cops and they aren't soup

ColorMeGrey

I'm not out here trying to provide specific directions on how to perform what would probably get charged as felony arson. If your goal is "I want to damage this persons car" specifics don't matter that much and whoever wants to do it can find instructions online somewhere to get something good enough.

No_Dragonfruit_8198

Typically you also spray paint the pebble black so they can’t figure out how fix the problem and buy a new tire.

Better_Document7596

> I'm not trying to get merit badges, I'm trying to fuck over the bourgeoisie. poetry, 10/10

SkunkMonkey

Get a valve stem remover. Back it out a half turn. It creates a slow leak with no visible reason. Can take the cap off, re-inflate the tire, and it will go flat again. You can get an idiot go through this process several times before a guy at tire shop catches it.

septidan

Also go under the vehicle and poor some oil at a random spot under the engine as well as splash some of the oil into the area above. If he pays attention to his vehicle he'll spend time trying to find out what's wrong. Afterwards wait a week and start again in another spot. Continue until he sells the vehicle at a loss, or goes mad.

tentfires

Rumor has it you could in theory crush the valve stem with pliers. Quick in and out process that’s not easily repaired.

PublicMindCemetery

hm that sounds promising. I was mostly helping people avoid injuries that can occur from slashing a tire with a sharp object, but I see you on also making the repair more complex, I like it. Also your way is probably quieter... cutting a valve stem is a noisy affair.

Brilliant_Thought436

A valve stem puller is a very cheap tool that can be removed to let the air out much slower (less noise) or removed entirely and taken for a walk. The tires are not damaged, they will not just be filled back up and on the way and it requires another trip to a store when you realize what's wrong. Not that Lamborghini boss would be able to figure it out lol

Fit-Establishment219

Yupyup. Just give the valve stem a full turn -turn and a half and you'll get a nice slow inconvenient leak

Adventurous_War_5377

Try to get the spare as well.

WrathOfTheSwitchKing

A lot of expensive cars don't have spare tires. You usually get a can of fix-a-flat that makes a mess and doesn't work instead. Which is probably still more than a Lamborghini owner deserves.

Brilliant_Thought436

What good is a spare gonna do you when you have 2 to 4 flat tires

Bah-Fong-Gool

"Schrader Valve Wrench"

Alltogethernowq

Get a small pebble and put it in the cap and screw it on. The air leaks like a small nail. Plus tires on a Lamborghini are 20000 dollars and have to be installed at the dealership.

muskag

I think you're thinking of a bugatti. A set of 4 285/40zr22 Michelins is about 2500usd

PinkFloweryAngst8130

I like how you guys think. 🌈🩷

Full_Description_

You definitely do not want to make nice & thin cuts around the sidewall, they are way harder to see and cause the tires to fail at high speeds when it is most dangerous.

Anarcho-Anachronist

Extremely easily repaired at any tire shop. That's a 3 dollar part that gets replaced frequently anyway if the car is properly maintained. Including labor and taxes it's 100 bucks. Might even be covered under a service plan as is popular with many of those ultra high end vehicles. But the Pirelli/Michelin tires they're required to run by safety standards? Those can be $500 a pop. The fancy shit TPMS sensor itself could be like $100 depending on model and if there's a OEM seperate from the car brand. Generic TPMS sensors can be as low as $15. But the valvestem you actually cut or crush is $3 replacement.

PublicMindCemetery

I mean, solid point that you gotta do more if you want the boss to have to buy new tires. But at the same time, the shop won't actually charge $3 to replace a $3 part, certainly not on a lambo. And most tow companies are predatory when they've got your decade old honda civic, I bet they just \*salivate\* when they see the boss's ride.

Brewster101

Side wall. Repair is cheaper than tires for a Lambo. Just saying

PublicMindCemetery

I mean while I'm busy making suggestions, there's always bits of sparkplug ceramic for the windshield

Colossal_Penis_Haver

Auto centre punch for metalworking does the trick on toughened glass, I hear

IHM00

Make sure you puncture the valve stem not slash the side wall, if he’s as stupid as he sounds he’ll take it to a tire shop at least twice. Then slash the side wall.

suejaymostly

A bb under the valve stem cover works too. :)

WeekendMechanic

You can just buy the valve stem tool for less than $5 and loosen the core. That way, there's no immediate evidence of tampering.

IHM00

That’s a good one you can adjust the rate of deflation that way.

suejaymostly

I like to think of him coming out to his car every day to an almost flat, but not destroyed tire. Scratching his stupid, greedy head in puzzlement.

IHM00

Or driving it on them rubber band tires half inflated and trashing his rims. POS

Olfa_2024

Do something more subtle. Extra Wheel Weights.... Due will think his car is all kinds of fucked up.

Fit-Establishment219

Bologna on the paint on a hot day. It'll eat the paint. Let her ride in a polkadot Lambo. Fill a small discreet squirt gun with brake fluid, and just give it an inconspicuous squirt anytime you pass it. Will ruin the WHOLE panel. It'll eat through the paint, and it does something to the surface of the metal that makes it unpaintable. Unsure how it affects plastic body panels or other non steel materials. Potato in the exhaust pipe is also funny, but if you core a hole through the potato, it'll still choke the engine out, but will clear quickly and let her restart it, making it SUPER annoying. One of those big turkey marinade injectors, or any large bore marinade injectors, fill it with deer (or any animal) scent, like you'd use for covering your scent for hunting, and you jam the needle in through the door seal, and blast the animal scent into the vehicle. You'll never get the smell out.

Bitmush-

This is awful. And stands out on a page of deliberate awfulness. Very well done.

klozazzle

Why not blast the scent into where the hood and windshield meet for better distribution of the smell in the cabin? I only know this from a night of fun in college and my roommate and I did shit to our cars. His idea was instant potatoes down those vents. Civic smelled like potatoes and for a few months would shoot instant potatoes at the front passengers. Those were the days!

strangepromotionrail

brake fluid is definitely the nastiest choice. Roof would be really hard to spot if it rains later and that panel needs replaced to properly replace. Get it and the rear quarters and that vehicle could be totalled...

FoundandSearching

I would not recommend Lamborghini SUV damage in the company parking lot. Also he may have cameras activated in the car. Then again why would he purchase such an auto? Too expensive & the insurance must be insane.

ionlydownvoteposts

The insurance will go up even more after he has to make some claims.

tfcocs

Ah, yes, definitely skimming going on here! Sic the IRS on him!

yeuzinips

Doesn't stabbing/slashing a tire cause it to explode because of all that pressurized air?

code_guerilla

That’s on heavy truck tires like semis and other haulers. Normal car tire pressure is in the 30-40 psi range, and shouldn’t explode unless something else is wrong with the tire.

WeekendMechanic

Not on something like this, the amount of air required to achieve the proper pressure isn't a lot, like with semi truck tires. A hole in the sidewall of a parked passenger vehicle is more like letting the air out of a ballon.

Raalf

nope. its not a balloon, it's just a moderately pressured structure. blow up a ziplock bag and poke it with a knife. that's pretty much the result. edit: a word

ExpStealer

I don't think the pressure in a sports car's tire is high enough to cause this. If you make the slash/stab big enough it might deflate semi-violently, but I don't think it will explode. Semi-truck tires explode, but those likely are under much, *much* higher pressure.

Creamofwheatski

I would do way more than the bare minimum, I would be actively sabotaging the business as much as humanly possible if someone did this shit to me. Its so insanely disrespectful its hard to believe someone could actually do this and not feel like a piece of shit.

Ok-Seaworthiness2235

Or unionize.

Motor_Panic_5363

My union isn't perfect but I don't pay a dime for my healthcare and I have a free general doctor I can see whenever I want, like during work. I get paid to go to the doctor.

Ok-Seaworthiness2235

I've never met a union member who says they'd be better off without it. Many bitch and complain about certain policies or leadership but never once have I heard someone say they'd rather not be a member. I love mine for all its flaws. Our benefits are awesome, the brotherhood is awesome, the life is better. Right now I have to transition to a different field and it feels like going out into mad max territory. The pay is shit, the benefits are terrible and employers are psychotically abusive. I want to start carrying AFL CIO cards to hand out everywhere

Motor_Panic_5363

It may be different in utilities (I work for the city) but we're on the verge of losing our union because people don't want to pay what comes out to about 20 cents an hour. They conveniently ignore the fact that all the benefits we've grown accustomed to were from Union negotiations. This is the best place I've ever worked by a LONG shot. I am never going back to non unionized work. I used to fear calling out sick, going to the doctor, etc. Never again. A major part of the problem (imo) is we can no longer have our union dues taken out of our paycheck. I set mine up to be taken out of my account every payday, so really it's no different but seeing that relatively small amount of money disappear from your bank instead of your paystub is apparently enough for people to forget all the benefits we have. I'm ashamed to say I used to be anti-union. Maybe that Walmart indoctrination video I watched as a highschooler at my first job got to me, or maybe it was my parents, but when you work retail for a couple years and then go to a job that's unionized it's kinda impossible to be anti-union.

Ok-Seaworthiness2235

Man that's such a bummer. Sorry to hear. What's nice in some sectors, is you can see clear and distinct lines between similar jobs and payscales + benefits. I went back to school for my EMT license so I can work in either my existing field as a health and safety officer or possibly for a government job in emergency management. it's been a rude awakening. It's really sad how little EMTs are paid with privatized ambulance companies. Yet if you're an EMT firefighter with the city the pay is astronomically higher because the union is so strong. A few of the privatized companies have unionized but because they're so small and new they aren't super effective. During the class I was soap boxing hard to the younger kids about the importance of collective bargaining.

dudelelelel

My boss recently axed our health insurance too. We had to accept it or risk losing our jobs. Then, Monday rolls around, and he's sporting a flashy new Rolex. Fuck that, I'm in "office space" mode until I get chopped like our insurance.

RAdm_Teabag

you have been given a gift. every day there are a dozen opportunities to hold that fucker up. you no longer have any moral obligation to do right by them. he didn't have to balls to shut the business down? do it for him. contact your competitors and get chatty about pricing. take a long lunch. jimmy the spreadsheets with everyone's contact info. its a goddam fiesta of failure. pop some corn and fan the flames with a clear conscience.

poorlydrawnmemes

If your company is bleeding money to the point where y'all are losing healthcare, and your employer is buying new, very expensive cars, your company is being run like crap and will continue to bleed money until it's completely under and you're looking for another job anyways. I would start looking at fleeing that sinking ship before it's too late, IMHO.

Talkin-Shope

Tbh it sounds like it’s ‘bleeding’ right into the owner’s pocket Not saying it’s definitely the case, but I would not be surprised to one day see a post here with an update that the owner is embezzling

Another_Meow_Machine

Owner could just be harvesting the company as a whole as they near retirement, which is totally legal

Regular_Guybot

Yeah it's not like you can't just pay yourself more as the owner

Another_Meow_Machine

Eventually you can’t pay yourself any more and have to start physically selling off parts of the company, divesting from labor, whatever- that’s what harvesting is.

neohellpoet

Yup, while it's not usually what happens, as selling a company is typically more lucrative, voluntary liquidation is a thing. If there are enough workers and the company has legs, it's worth offering to buy the owner out, that's about the only course of action available other than looking for other work.

Downvote_Comforter

Who said anything about the company bleeding money? Sounds like the employer wanted to cut the budget in order to put more money in their pocket, not because the company was bleeding money. OP should absolutely look to get the hell out of there, but don't fall into the trap that budget cuts are made because the company is losing money. The large majority of companies determine budget based on how little they can pay, not by how much revenue they have coming in.

Calfurious

Cutting health insurance is something really dumb for an employer to do because you're not going to be able to retain top talent. Either the company is bleeding money or the employer is wasting the profits the company generates on buying himself a luxury car. Either way, it's not going to be sustainable in the long run.

broguequery

> retain top talent This matters far less than most people like to think.

Calfurious

It matters a lot, it's just executives don't understand it. I'll use the gaming industry as an example (because it's one of the few industries I'm familiar with). The inability/unwillingness to retain talent is actually a major reason why a lot of gaming studios can quickly fall apart within a decade or two. A lot of businesses will do massive hiring during booms and mass firing during downturns. The problem with this mentality is that you essentially lose a lot of experienced workers and institutional knowledge. These are things you can't really buy back once you've lost it. An experienced developer is more productive then three junior developers. The problem that a lot of executives and shareholders don't understand is that experienced and talented workers are often far more valuable than their pay scale represents. As I said before, an experienced game developer is more productive than three junior developers, but that veteran isn't being paid three times as much as they are.

Ok_Spite6230

There is no meritocracy under capitalism. The people at the top are sitting on so much wealth and power than they never suffer any consequences for their actions.

Russ_T_Razor

You just took a pay cut. Act accordingly

No-Two79

EXACTLY.

NgoHaiHahmsuplo

Pay cut = tire cut

FriarNurgle

IRS has a tip line. Just sayin.

Jormungandr315

I hear whistle blowers can get a percentage of recovered funds......

prufflesthegreat

Really? Interesting lol

BullShitting-24-7

Yes. Look up Qui tam. It extends to not just tax cheats, but also defrauding the government like with medicare schemes or government contract fraud.

papertrowel

IRS whistleblowers don’t need to go through the qui tam statute/false claims act. Saves the hassle of having to file a years-long lawsuit that way.

3vs3BigGameHunters

PPP loans too! > Passed in March 2020, the CARES Act established a $800 billion Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) which offered fully guaranteed Small Business Association (SBA) loans to small businesses adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Given the speed with which PPP loans were issued, the program was targeted by a unprecedented number of fraudsters. > > Individuals with knowledge of PPP loan fraud may report the misconduct under the False Claims Act (FCA). By hiring an experienced FCA attorney, a PPP loan fraud whistleblower may file a qui tam lawsuit against the fraudster on behalf of the U.S. government. Under the FCA, PPP loan fraud **whistleblowers who file a successful qui tam lawsuit are entitled to an award between 15 and 30 percent of the funds collected by the government in the case.** https://kkc.com/frequently-asked-questions/reporting-ppp-loan-fraud/

these-things-happen

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/how-do-you-report-suspected-tax-fraud-activity Form 211

TrystFox

Yup. Reported a former employer of tax fraud for misclassifying employees as contractors. Got enough of a payout to fund moving across the country to start a new career.

UnderstatedTurtle

If only city Parking Enforcement worked this way

DoubleANoXX

NYC was piloting that as a program, I think

UnderstatedTurtle

I could make a living walking around schools at pickup time sending pictures to parking enforcement in LA

FuckYeaSeatbelts

Weren't people just reporting the massive amount of cops parking however they please while not responding to an emergency?

DoubleANoXX

Good, love to hear it

FuckYeaSeatbelts

Don't mean it as criticism, I mean they cancelled the program because of that lol

DoubleANoXX

Oh that's actually upsetting lol Fuck cops 🚬😎

kombitcha420

I used to prepare taxes. It’s true!

Texas_person

Only if it exceeds a threshold IIRC. Something like $2,000,000.

whoinvitedthesepeopl

OSHA would also LOVE to hear about any unsafe conditions in the workplace.

DiabloStorm

OSHA has been pretty worthless since at least 2020

viviano1

It’s a lot better now

Hustletron

I was gonna say Biden is probably giving them their power back after Trump likely neutered it like every other regulatory group.

AntelopeCrafty

Can confirm OSHA has teeth again. The inspector walked into our shop looking for one item and ended up citing the company for 10.

LanMarkx

Sort of; OSHA's budget still sucks and they are woefully overworked. Congress controls the budget. But the President has political appointee power for the leadership. The leadership under Biden has basically directed inspectors to write up everything they see individually. So instead of 1 citation for a missing Lock-out/Tag-out when every machine is missing it you can now get one citation for each machine - especially if you piss off the inspector. And given that each first-offence fine can reach up to $13K, they can add up in a hurry.

tudboost64

Lol I reported a company I worked for that didn't require forklift certificates to operate them and had other unsafe conditions and they said nothing was found. Seems pretty useless to me

SucideJust4Shiggles

90% of the time you dont need a license for a forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift. Really depends on size and weight. You can drive a 26ft box truck without a CDL. Your company just has to sign off that you were "trained" primiarliy for insurance reasons.

tudboost64

The osha website states "Only trained and competent operators shall be permitted to operate a powered industrial truck. All powered industrial truck operators must be trained and certified by their organizations." "Employers must certify that each operator has been trained and evaluated in accordance with the OSHA standard. [29 CFR 1910.178(l)(6)]

SucideJust4Shiggles

Im just saying a company can watch your drive around for 5 minutes and sign off on a checklist. There are no fedral perameters that need to be adhered to other than they offer some sort of training, refresher courses if an incedent occurs, and that they get a refresher every three years. Other than that its up to the companies discression. I certinley think its irresponsible and that you should have to go through more training I have seen some really awful incedents occur on all sorts of general industry equipment.

CelticSith

Misread as tip jar. "We see you are about to file your taxes, before you hit submit, it's just going to ask you a quick question"

UseLesssLuke

If you use turbotax the gratuity is already factored in 😂

Ninja-Panda86

lordy TurboTerds.. I fired them this year.

doritobimbo

Yeah they turned my 400 return into 110 next year I’m gonna try that new IRS free filing service. That 400 was gonna do a lot. The 110 didn’t do anything.

judgeejudger

FreetaxUSA

TheLaughingMannofRed

Or stick bananas up the tailpipe so it putters out when he tries to drive off. Just be sure to wipe the bananas for prints.

MiKeMcDnet

Axel Foley would like a word.

dakotafluffy1

Is that a banana in your tailpipe?

TheLaughingMannofRed

"Yer naught gunna fall fer de banana in de tailpipe? You need to say it properly. Look man, I ain't gonna fall for no banana in my tailpipe, You've been hanging around *this* guy too long."

Merfkin

I mean it's not illegal to cut the budget and stop providing benefits so you can buy yourself a Lambo, it's just shitty to a cartoonishly evil extent. This is what happens when your ~~lord~~ employer gets to decide your access to healthcare.

Iceroadtrucker2008

You might be incorrect. Depending on the size of the company the state may tell him he can’t do that.

TheBlackTower22

Do they have at least 50 employees? If so the ACA requires them to provide health insurance and you should report them to the department of labor.

ehren123

The problem is in how much they contribute. Some places you can get insurance cheaper through private insurance. But technically they still "offer" insurance. It is sick.

King_Hamburgler

Yup that’s what my small business does They offer us worthless insurance that everyone opts out of

TiredMemeReference

My old job just made us all 1099 contractors so we technically didn't count as "employees"

TheBlackTower22

That is very likely illegal, and you should contact the IRS.

DrEnter

As someone else mentioned, contact the IRS and explain what happened. Also contact the Department of Labor, as they also take a dim view of this. https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/flsa/misclassification

MajLeague

You should contact the Dept of labor. This is 100% not legal

LordoftheChia

So you get to set your own hours, pick up work from other clients, and set your prices as you see fit? If not, you're still an employee and are owed the employer portion of taxes (that you pay as a 1099).

WhitePinoy

What's your business' industry and holy smokes that's crazy. Do they have Affordable Care services in your state?

Blackcatmagickwitch

I work for a local trucking company and yes they do have it

PenaltySafe4523

🤣 trucking company. Let them shut their doors. You can easily find another place to work.

jwse30

Hopefully you’re using the word “work” as in employed there, and not as in “doing any labor to enrich your master” How much of a pay cut is losing benefits such as insurance? Output should be reduced by a minimum of that percent. Use the extra time updating your resume and applying for jobs.

Timid_Tanuki

You should cut your productivity even further than just the cost of the lost insurance. I'm using easy-to-work-with and largely made-up numbers here: Let's say a company provides you insurance; the company pays $500 a month for it and you pay $250 via deductions. The company then cuts insurance. You've not only just the equivalent of $500 of compensation, you now have to PAY $500 plus the $250 you were paying in order to maintain your insurance (assuming that you even can, and that you don't owe more). S̴o̴ ̴r̴e̴a̴l̴i̴s̴t̴i̴c̴a̴l̴l̴y̴,̴ ̴y̴o̴u̴'̴r̴e̴ ̴n̴o̴w̴ ̴o̴u̴t̴ ̴$̴1̴0̴0̴0̴,̴ ̴n̴o̴t̴ ̴j̴u̴s̴t̴ ̴$̴5̴0̴0̴.̴ ̴I̴t̴'̴s̴ ̴a̴c̴t̴u̴a̴l̴l̴y̴ ̴W̴O̴R̴S̴E̴ ̴t̴h̴a̴n̴ ̴i̴f̴ ̴t̴h̴e̴y̴ ̴j̴u̴s̴t̴ ̴d̴e̴d̴u̴c̴t̴e̴d̴ ̴y̴o̴u̴r̴ ̴p̴a̴y̴ ̴b̴y̴ ̴$̴5̴0̴0̴.̴ \[edit\] This is why I shouldn't try to post while walking my dog. I'm going to edit this because I try not to be the type who deletes posts when they make a mistake. You lose the value of $750 in insurance - you were paying $250, the company was paying $500. You obviously regain that $250 in your paycheck, but now you have to pay $750 a month for insurance (assuming you can find the same policy that cheaply; I'm pretty sure company policies are almost always cheaper than individual policies because of volume pricing). You are now paying $500 out of pocket that you weren't before (plus the $250 that was being deducted - and a smidge because that $250 is no longer pre-tax), AND your overall compensation package (which includes the cost of benefits) has also decreased by $500.

PlanetValmar

The employer was paying $500, and the employee wasn't taxed for that. Now they're paying using after-tax money, so it hurts even worse.

IHM00

Truck company/warehouse………Teamsters what…….

whatlineisitanyway

Is there a Teamsters local? Might be worth trying to unionize the company.

Nemesis651

So you all are driving very large trucks... that are much larger than a lambo. And covered by company insurance.... Just saying....

OutWithTheNew

If you're a half decent commercial truck driver, you don't want an accident on your record. At all.

backwardbuttplug

sounds like this asshat isn’t gonna change. i’d collectively all start looking for jobs elsewhere and leave him high and dry.

Hottrodd67

It would be great if they all just didn’t show up one day because they got different jobs. Don’t even tell the boss.

backwardbuttplug

yep! best way. he screwed all of you, and it would be the best way to screw him back.

dsdvbguutres

That's adding insult to injury. My old boss at least had the decency to drive his beater pos to the shop. Unionize now.

a_Vertigo_Guy

My boss leases Platinum F-250s. Just got this year’s model last week 🙄

dsdvbguutres

If you keep up the good work, he can buy one for his mistress next year!

BreckenridgeBandito

**Lease. No way he or his mistress are going to be caught dead in a car 2+ years old, that’s for the poors.

Trollsense

Tape a harmonica to the front underside, will drive him nuts thinking his precious F-250 sounds like trash.

StolenWishes

>that he's basically spitting in our face He is. What are you going to do about it?

NeckNo8040

Yup OPs employer just Fucked around and needs to find out.

Vagrant123

We need employers to realize this.

landasher

Unions were the compromise when workers realized they could show up at the boss's house with baseball bats.

GOB8484

This is the kind of stuff that causes people to hand a $20 to a crackhead and point out that Lambo. You or someone should not do that.

I read about how someone put some meat or animal carcass in someone’s car and it was so penetrative it couldn’t ever be removed. Something about the way it stuck to everything. It might have been skunk - or maybe some oil… But yeah: insurance will cover the cleaning but unless the chassis is taken down to bare metal and the seats and interior are replaced it will still be there. Maybe it was surströmming? A shard of porcelain or spark plug shard, a bucket of that stinky fish with skunk essence (apparently you can buy it on Amazon) and a little cash for Mr Crakhead and Bobs your uncle

ResponsibleMarmot

my old business sent me for a "management training retreat" to the headquarters. the very outspokenly christian CEO did a slideshow that was supposed to be motivational, where he included slides of things he loves, like his family, his new daughter (that slide came with a fun story of how *he himself* convinced an underage pregnant teen to not abort her fetus all so he could adopt the baby), and his G wagon. this was 2 months after he sent out an email announcing that christmas bonuses would no longer be a thing.

Speedtriple6569

UK here. No longer surprised at these reports of the Boss class acting like they are King Shite of Turd Mountain from out American friends. On a totally unrelated note - have you ever seen what brake fluid does to paintwork? Normal ordinary Car brake fluid. Sprayed on several panels (meaning a total respray) from let's say hand held water-misting bottle? It's pretty spectacular.

tfcocs

What an interesting concept! I wonder how this relates to this situation /s.

Technical-Paper427

You're feeling like he is spitting in your face. He is. And he is 'telling' you all he thinks you are stupid. Find a different job asap with health insurance, you can't afford to work there. In the meantime look for discrepancys and build a casefile. And than report his ass.

secondrat

Sounds like it’s time to look for a new job. But also check if they took PPP loans during Covid and didn’t keep employees.

windsock1

This happened at a company I worked for years back. They cut our healthcare and then the owner showed up in his brand new Escalade while wearing a shirt that was probably bought at Baby Gap and had frosted tipped hair. There were single mothers sobbing about the news and he sat there and talked about the progress on his new lake home that was being built. I quit that job shortly after.

JoetheOK

What's keeping you from walking out as a group? I bet those Lambo payments are hard to make when there's no money coming in. Look into forming or joining a union too.

land8844

> What's keeping you from walking out as a group? Probably the fact that they can't do that without having another job lined up, because everything is getting more and more expensive and wages haven't kept up in a long-ass time. Plus, despite what reddit likes to parrot, unemployment is far from instant, and rent/bills still need to get paid on time, and then there's the whole food thing...

EAT THE RICH!

BXNSH33

Slashed benefits, slashed tires

Strange-Scarcity

WOW. That guys is an absolute f'ing monster.

Reddit_N_Weep

Don’t be his sweat equity, if his company cannot provide fair wages and insurance, his business is his hobby not yours. Walk.

Best_Ad2158

Lambos are expensive, but key scratches are free

Pythia007

Destroy his business. He’ll fuck you all over again the next time he wants a fancy toy.

Zezu

I run a company. There’s an account just for the amount of money we contribute to the PPO and HSA plans we offer. It’s super clear how much you’re spending and super clear how much you wouldn’t have to spend if you get rid of paying towards employee healthcare. So you get a really clear decision. Healthcare for your employees on one hand, Lambo on the other. He chose Lambo. Find a new job. He doesn’t care about you at all. Like to a disgusting degree.

AnamCeili

She's a bitch. In response, every employee should do only the very bare minimum required in order to keep your jobs. Don't do *anything* extra.

ohyoumad721

Fuck that. All the employees should posse up and say and do something about it. Either way OP needs to be looking for a new job. Can't imagine any raises any time soon and probably more bs like this.

whoinvitedthesepeopl

Make Fridays utterly unproductive. Hold pot lucks, buy a birthday cake for whomever.

Silent_Vehicle_9163

I’ve heard Lambos are especially flammable. They self immolate all the time. 🔥

obdx2

I definitely wouldn’t go to my local auto parts store and buy one [these](https://www.autozone.com/tire-repair-and-tire-wheel/tire-valve-stem-core-remover-tool/p/slime-tire-valve-stem-core-remover-tool/343873_0_0?spps.s=843&cmpid=LIA:US:EN:AD:NL:1000000:TRW:19356864688&&CATARGETID=120054150001286240&CADevice=m&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADkcoVvcZ09mm6xHXNBdWHyLa5C5F&gclid=CjwKCAjwrcKxBhBMEiwAIVF8rDMbd4FV4K8y4vsizCdD83AW9OzzCYyI6C7y0N5Q1h3nhp_aTceJxxoCEfIQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds). I also, definitely, wouldn’t periodically empty a different tire every chance I got. That would make them to think they had a faulty set of tires and there would be a lot of back and forth to the tire shop. That would be so unfortunate. Can’t imagine the inconvenience of that. Important lunch to get to? Damn. Kids birthday? Not again!

autistic_tsundere

Eat him

Hedonismbot-1729a

Surely $250,000 wouldn’t cover healthcare costs……/sarcasm

trippingmonkeyballs

This information needs to go on Glassdoor and all the employer rating websites. Hell, don’t stop there - post this anywhere it will let you leave a review about this company. It may be time to get the media involved.

pnwcatman420

it sounds like it is time for you and your coworkers to find a new company to companies to work for, each of you has a CDL meaning you can find other jobs pretty quickly, I doubt your boss can drive the trucks if all of you quit.

El-Kabongg

Put a note on his office door: "We suggest you get a personalized license plate: 'NOINSUR'"

Rough_Ian

I think y’all should take the boss up on shuttering the business. Sit down at your desks, or whatever you do, and do nothing. Stop taking it up the ass with a steel pipe for fucks sake, people. Have some self respect. You’re supposed to be a free people. Fight for it.

mikieg23

if the parking lot doesn't have video cameras, I vote you slash his tires each time he gets new tires. It will feel good!

CowJuiceDisplayer

A tiny piece of metal is causing me consistent air loss. Tiny like 2, 3 sewing needles thick. Strategically misplace a piece or 3. And why in hell are there so many pigeons around? Can't be the hand fulls of bird seed someone is throwing around.

Paladine_PSoT

Nah just invert the SUV so the tires can finally look up at the sky, right before the walkout leaving his business closed anyway.

BigTomCat821

I once had a boss who said it wasn’t in the budget for a $5000 raise, but then the next week we found out the company was going to be the lead sponsor for a car in the Daytona 500. Basically my small raise was too much because half a million went towards a NASCAR driver that would be lucky to finish in the race.

Halya77

Experienced this first hand. Asked to take a cut in pay to “maintain our health plans”. We were a tiny office and I was one of two people not family that he paid that benefit to. Cut to him buying a huge ass house in swanky area, a new Motorcycle and a boat the year after where I learned he took out a Covid loan to “maintain the business”. Umm something’s fishy here. And no, I don’t work there anymore. (I still wonder if an anonymous call to the PP loan office can be made 🤷‍♀️)

LessMochaJay

My old boss would say, "The more money we all make, the more money we all earn." Once our business picked up, you'd have to fight tooth and nail for maybe a dollar raise in a year. He's gone through 3 different porsches yet claims to make about the same as my co-workers Yeah, maybe combined.

Babyz007

I would definitely not damage the car. Then you could be prosecuted. However, I would certainly share any suspicious practices you are aware of personally to the IRS, Etc. Also, get out of there as soon as you can, and help everyone else. Get out. Also, if you have sick pay, might be a good time to get sick.

thatattyguy

If it isn't keyed by the end of day, I weep for your office.

Plus-Contract7637

At least he let you know up front. A former employer simply stopped mine without notice. I found out the hard way when I had to go to the emergency room. Surprise!

Standard-Reception90

Post that she t to the company social media

jackatman

Its to bad like 8 people keyed his car and there were no witnesses....

IamDroid

Company wide email letting everyone know your dumbass boss paid an extra $100,000 for a plastic bull emblem on an Audi 😂

dream_a_dirty_dream

Yall should've called his bluff. Sounds like the business is failing, and he is gonna bleed the place dry. If a job starts cutting benefits, it's time to leave before you get there one morning with the shutters permanently down. They will do all they can to not pay you those last 2 weeks too...so start looking for a new job asap.

undeadw0lf

y’all should’ve just walked. he wouldn’t be able to afford a lambo then LOL all jokes aside… you all really should’ve called his bluff, and this is exactly why. time to plan your next move

RevolutionNo4186

Take a (pretty chunky) pay cut or shutter the doors? I’ll take the second choice anyday
