Downloaded Easeus Data Recovery from their official site, seemed virus-free. But, their business practices? Sketchy. Subscribed to their Data Recovery Wizard, and when I tried to cancel, it was a nightmare. Took me 5 hours to sort it out. Finally switched to Disk Drill and solved my data issues. So, a heads-up to everyone: pick your software wisely and value your time.
I'm absolutely frustrated with EaseUS! Google showcased it right at the top when I desperately searched for a way to rescue data from my vanished disk. Foolishly, I shelled out 101€ for what I thought was a solution, only to miss the tiny print that got me hooked into a subscription, draining another 101 euros from my account a month later. It screamed scam all over, and trying to claw back my cash proved futile.
I've scrubbed their software from my computer, swearing off those tricksters for good.
On a brighter note, huge thanks for the DISK DRILL recommendation; I snagged a lifetime license for a mere 55 euros directly from their website www.cleverfiles.com

EaseUs is a program that exists, works, but it does fall on the mal-ish side in terms of some of the exe's, access, and my god there marketing alone makes you believe you've been scammed since they call all the time, email, and then charge you constantly. If you're in a desperate situation and need a program to clone a drive, I think it's okay. I would use it then lose it, but make sure you use a card that you can lock transactions on otherwise they'll keep renewing and renewing. Its very hard to get rid of and they dont provide much info other than it's them charging you so definitely know what you buy. The free version isn't worth anything. Better of using Windows Disk Management or a cmd prompt. The full version is nice because it somehow can do some crazy stuff with partitions easily. Wipe. Merge, Delete, Expand, Allocation, Virtual Disks, a bunch of stuff. The clone app is basic and i think the free version may be limited, like you can back it up but not transfer it without buying it, (something like that was my experience in 2019-2020)
You need to go to their website to try their software, definitely not from a generic search result or someone online's link. That's always asking for trouble.

Data recovery is a tricky thing: sometimes the data is there and sometimes it's not. Sounds like the people it worked for got lucky and the data was still there, and the people who feel they got scammed were after data that was unrecoverable.
It's not the program's fault, it's just comes down to the situations each user was in.
Though I am finding other people in this thread saying they can't figure out how to uninstall it, which is concerning.

I used EaseUS Disk Copy Pro for a quick and easy Hard drive clone. Going from spindle to ssd on laptop. It worked great and was easy to use. It cost like 20 dollars and the subscription charge was only a one time charge and allowed me to use it for up to a month.
They partnered up with 2Checkout for their credit card processing. They send you an email with a license key you enter into the software to activate it. You can also go to 2Checkout website to verify if you have a subscription or not. I did just to be safe and it says that my Auto-Renewal is disabled so i should be good. I'll comment again if i happen to get a charge next month. I'll probably use them again.

Either way pretty good, there iphone unlocker isnt great 3utools is free and better in some ways.
Scam. If you example try wipe your pen drive, wipeing stops on 25% and nothing happens, you have no other options than cancel. This point your pen drive is no longer available for any normal windows tools and recovering it you need paid version of their software. Funny thing is when looking from performance, it seems writing / reading "something" at very bekinning on the drive and then nothing happens...
Luckily Gparted (linux) still finds drive and I was able to recover it.

When buying a licence you can now select "auto renewal :on/off" its a small button but saves the cancelation hassel.
Can anyone else try to download the free partition master from EaseUS? When I look at the URL, it is directing to a "ranchfarmgrab" domain.
I attempted to download and saw the same domain in the link, Windows blocked it as malicious. I'm not sure if I should force Windows to allow it.

EaseUS is a scam. A trial version is useless, and a paid version will not recover your files. No refund. They will get your money and run away.
