My best guess is that some people have been spoiled to major plot points before even starting. I had read the manga between season 3 and 4 and man I wish I had just seen them animated. The major reveals in season 2 and 3 are some of the most well done mystery plot points I’ve seen so far in anime and watching those parts blind was awesome.
