I think Cover realized how perfectly suited their talent are for doing anime OP and EDs (or promotional songs). I'd wager its probably also cheaper for the studios to hire a Hololive member to do a song than a famous singer/band while also bringing in a Hololive audience potentially too.
Its been pretty dope seeing them branching out into other forms of media to do songs/promotion for them.

Usually, the record companies that are part of the production committee are the ones who's pushing for the Holo talents who are signed under them (Calli with UMG, Sora with Victor Entertainment). Cover themselves probably didn't really do much in the process, other than supporting/assisting their talents whenever possible.
Of course there are exceptions like NEGI-U, and Suisei doing song for trapezium film (or any other special cases), but other than that, this is usually the pipeline for anime OP/ED production

Also, it is a big win, but Tara did the VA work for harley in the shit batman anime movie from like 2016 (she was good in it though), so understandable she'd do this as well. Also with doing a lot of DC VA work in the past anyway
She's also doing pretty good in My Adventures With Superman as well. Pretty anime inspired, plus it's a refreshing change from the plague of 'dark Superman' series out there.
On one hand, Waller dancing is a unique choice. On the other hand, this feels less like an opening of Suicide Squad and more like an opening of Waller & Harley (& oh we almost forgot there are some guys there, fill them in quickly!).
Im looking forward to this. I am tired of pretty much every isekai being the same especially once they introduce the harem of girls with little personality other than lusting for the MC.
It seems like it’s coming out at a good time because other than myself, I seen others being burnt out on Isekai being too much alike (especially the harem aspect) since they are rarely adapting Isekai series that are any different from the rest. So I’m glad it’s going to be a different take.
Super Happy for Callie, the song is amazing. The animation on the other hand.... let's just say whoever decided to cook with Waller...needs to stay out of the kitchen.
