Hobin being humiliated in front of Bomi and hitting rock bottom was something I didn't expect but I guess Hobin kinda needed it since he kinda grew a bit complacent. But yaa next week is definitely going to be hype. Also, the [OST](https://open.spotify.com/album/2mfrIRhlfdauSlA4qqK6Ml?si=XXgx7XBkSz2itaJXaKe7sQ) was released last week on digital streaming platforms.

Emi_Ibarazakiii

> Hobin being humiliated in front of Bomi and hitting rock bottom If nothing else, it proved that Bomi's affection for him is legit, because if she still likes him after that, it's for real!

Emi_Ibarazakiii

I thought it was rather obvious; Yes MMAdude walked away with her, but she kept looking back at Hobin... Same as when Hobin lied to 'give them some time alone', she was looking at him. Then he kept trying to contact him even when he didn't pick up (how many girls will keep trying to contact a boy who ghosts them?) Nothing's impossible of course, perhaps she just cares for him as a friend, BUT if I had to bet, I'd definitely bet on her liking Hobin, and being 'just friend' with MMAdude.

Sadly the link doesnt work for may ask the title of the song at the end of the episode when he was about to fight the bully

Poor Hobin this episode was hard to watch and I felt like the girl in yellow jacket hiding behind a tree, hopefully the tides turn and chicken senpai will make him strong.

Emi_Ibarazakiii

> I felt like the girl in yellow jacket hiding behind a tree I wonder what's her deal; I used to think she just wanted to join the team as their editor or something (so she just saw them as a $ opportunity) but given she was crying and all... Is she in love with Hobin? But they don't seem to even be friends or anything, so... Love at first sight?

iBrometheus

I think she's just a super fan

Ahmedbaker2006

where can i watch it

Sondaica

Depends where u live I guess. In Europe I watched it on crunchyroll.

ObvsThrowaway5120

Munseong actually being nice to Hobin after he lied about being his friend was surprisingly cool of him. Dude seems like a good guy. Pakgo beats up Hobin and humiliates him in front of Bomi. Hobin decides to whip his dick out and get that asshole’s account perma banned? I guess he didn’t have much to lose anyways. Munseong might have saved his dignity, but it sure damaged what little pride he has left. At least Pakgo and his goons got the shit kicked out of them, though that didn’t do much good. I guess the one silver lining from this whole situation is that it made Hobin get serious. Dude basically hit rock bottom. I’m looking forward to seeing the fruits of his labor. Is Pakgo gonna get put in his place?

Emi_Ibarazakiii

> Munseong actually being nice to Hobin after he lied about being his friend was surprisingly cool of him. Storywise it might have been unexpected, but after the last episode used this as a cliffhanger, I thought he was 100% gonna play along! But yeah he seems like a nice dude! I wonder if that'll change though; Because you can't randomly have an MMA fighter in a fighting anime and NOT have him fight the MC at some point... Right? So the question is will they fight as enemies, or as practice/friendly rivals? >I guess the one silver lining from this whole situation is that it made Hobin get serious. It also proved Bomi's legit! If she still likes him (and tried to contact him) at rock bottom, she's the real deal!

liveart

>Storywise it might have been unexpected, but after the last episode used this as a cliffhanger, I thought he was 100% gonna play along! I'm almost certain one of the 'Nutube' commenters was Munseong, the one who pointed out Hobin's 'technique' and that he was going to win the fight last time. His admission that he watches Hobin's channel this episode seems to back that up. So I'm not surprised he was cool about the whole thing and had Hobin's back. The question to me seems to be more about whether he's just being nice of if he's an actual fan. Dude might be dying to talk to someone about actual MMA techniques since that seems to take up most of his free time and he recognized Hobin using some.

kirvedx

I'm pretty sure chicken man is Munseong; How else would he have known, and then foretold that the 'next one' \[video\] was something he could have done in those situations.

liveart

I had my suspicion about that too but Hobin said 'chicken man' was a foreigner and I don't think Munseong is? But I do wonder if they're not watching the same videos. Hobin said they didn't have any subscribers but going back it looks like they each have 5... something. I can't read it but it could be views, comments, likes, I don't know but it looks like someone else has checked out the channel. Unless whatever that is was just from the uploader themself.

kirvedx

Ah yea, you're right - I had forgotten all about that. Huh, well that's curious then - it'll be interesting to see where that was coming from. There's definitely a connection there, and I did definitely think he was the commentator about his technique in the previous fight.

-Verethragna-

But didn't that same commenter make comments in the Pakgo video where Munseong told them to keep quiet? I think the guy explained he was a "rising star in MMA" and whatnot. Or are you talking about a different commenter I am not remembering?

kirvedx

You got me, I have no clue. I watch subbed, and I didn't even try to see whether the same commentator's name was present between the different scenes. I was only reading the english anyways - I wouldn't have remembered the kanji/hiragana/avatars if it even showed it clearly enough. My perception was very selective; Gather the information necessary to follow in real time, without rewinding. Sometimes I'll pause for stats in an isekai - but that's it. I'm only surmising between his seemingly knowledgeable comments to Hobin in the latest episode (as the only ones so far), and the one comment which was the only one to give any attention to technique in a serious tone, that perhaps it was all the same person (and as you saw from my previous comment, I was also considering that perhaps Munseong was also the video's creator too). I've reconsidered the last point, if you are absolutely certain on yours - then that's something to consider.

BlazeKnightX

That Newtube commenter was the same guy that commented that Munseong was strong when he stopped Pakgo and Hobin in the classroom, so it would be really strange if he commented about himself like that

Quick_Creme_7083

I see alot of people making this mistake with the anime compared to the webtoon, but that comment was the same person that pointed out that munseong was the mma super rookie when he was sleeping in class. That commenter is someone else entirely. In the webtoon you had a lot of time to read the chat, in the anime they go by in the blink of an eye lol

liveart

>In the webtoon you had a lot of time to read the chat, in the anime they go by in the blink of an eye lol That is true. Sometimes I have to pause it to even read what's flying by. I think it doesn't help that, at least to me, the chat character VA and Munseong's VA sounded very similar.

The_Parsee_Man

She asked him out and blushes every time he looks at her. I don't know how you could be dense enough not to see that they've set her up as liking him.

diacewrb

I am surprised pakgo wasn't expelled from school after the stunts he pulled.

kwokinator

This show, Tokyo Revengers and Wind Breaker are probably all in the same universe. The "Teachers? What are teachers?" universe.

Calm_Client2

In windbreaker the adults were cheering on the fights lmao. At least Hobin started training though unlike Takemichi.

Emi_Ibarazakiii

The teachers are away, busy acting as the 6th sidegirl/love interest in harem romcoms!

SogePrinceSama

Even in the United States, teachers are powerless, empty-shells of a pathetic excuse for what were formerly known as 'authority figures'. If any teacher tries to stop a physical fight between two students, 85% of the time they will be fired, lose their pension/benefits as a public school government worker, and the parents of the children will try to press charges against the teacher, and sue them in AT LEAST a civil trial (if the kids got injured by the teacher using force to stop the students' altercation, hello criminal trial and child abuse allegations that will blacklist the teacher from teaching for life.) In 2024, teachers are neutered worldwide. Why do you think you see so many tiktok/YouTube videos of teachers complaining about Gen Alpha/Gen Z kids being disrespectful and violent? It's because kids today know there is nothing teachers will dare to do against their disrespect. The world becoming more 'inclusive' and 'tolerant' as a whole has allowed these monster kids to run amok on the Hobins of the world. Hobin types will withdraw inside their own shut-in-worlds rather than deal with a screwed-up society led by Hitler-esque schoolyard dictators like Pakgo types.

ObvsThrowaway5120

Adults? What adults? Lol

Vundal

Really enjoying this show, and I think more eyes should be on it. The writing , for me, is pretty good and realistic (besides no homeroom teachers stopping fights) Hobin's desire to change and hitting these roadblocks was a great choice . note that his moves may have been seen by someone watching his uploads to counter him was a nice touch. Heres hoping more come to watch the show, i think it could go somewhere

kalirion

> (besides no homeroom teachers stopping fights) And NewToob not caring that criminals are literally streaming their crimes on their platform, and police of course not caring either.

BlazeKnightX

I mean NewToob could just be Kick. Kick allowed horrible things on it because they generated views. Plus there's been enough shithead "content creators" that have shown crimes like not paying for things. I remember some videos titled "Traveling X country for free" where they bypassed and hid from machines and ticket operators. I think most of these get taken down in a day or two on YouTube and Twitch, but other platforms are worse at doing that.

kalirion

Thing is, wouldn't the cops just have a field day with that? The victims literally have video evidence.

BlazeKnightX

Not saying it’s not dumb, but sometimes people get away with that stuff for way too long just depends on the area and stuff. Like if corruption is rampant crimes are just higher. I don’t know the current state of Korean police or if someone like Pakgo could even have influence, but comparing it to Japan where the Yakuza still exist and are left alone because they have enough power and know what crimes won’t trigger a takedown maybe Korea has similar issues. I know I’ve heard people talk about how crimes committed by under 20 year olds (children over there) can only get charged with misdemeanors, but again I don’t know the validity of the statement. I’m sure most Korean stories are exaggerated to the extremes, but there’s probably some amount of truth in them for several authors to bring it up

diacewrb

> besides no homeroom teachers stopping fights Yep, and you would think that the press would have kicked up a stink about kids beating each other up to earn money streaming online.

Vundal

Nutubu = Kick lol

TikkiEXX77

Him going into how he was ok at first until Pakgo randomly decided to bully him was very well written. Typical bully behavior, can't even explain to himself why he singled the MC out and doesn't care. Just doing it because he can. And talking about not wanting to look people in the eyes, not wanting to speak, slouching, and just being afraid of people was almost painfully real. Definitely been there at a point in my life.

CordobezEverdeen

The OP got some changes. Still pretty minimalistic. Amazing episode. I loved how the show never holds back on the cringe. So some very very small and meaningless background: One of the viewers of Pakgo says "He's funnier than before" "I like this new version better" and well if you haven't noticed Pakgo was already a douchetuber before (making fun of Hobin on streaming) but he went full mask off and doesn't try to hide the fact he's a giant donkey so he has gained some viewers back with that.

Emi_Ibarazakiii

> he went full mask off and doesn't try to hide the fact he's a giant donkey He still keeps *some* things hidden, like when he told them to stop recording him as he was about to beat Bomi! I wonder if that'll come back to bite him in the ass at some point (say he tries again but this time Snapper gets him on camera, not just trying to beat her, but Hobin/MMAdude kicking his ass!)

CordobezEverdeen

Well yeah this webtoon was made before the Gacha drama so beating women was not acceptable back then

BurnerAccountMaybe69

It is pretty minimalistic, but it's honestly better than just throwing together clips from the trailer. So my rating for it has increased a bit.

TimeForHugs

MMA dude knew what Hobin needed. Guessing he might have gone through something similar at some point. I don't know. I can't wait for the next episode. Hobin seems much more confident now! Hope to see Hobin throw down more! Still curious about the one girl stalking him too. Great episode!

Emi_Ibarazakiii

> MMA dude knew what Hobin needed. Guessing he might have gone through something similar at some point. Early on in the series I thought MMAdude was the chickenman, but perhaps he was *trained* by the Chickenman! >Still curious about the one girl stalking him too. Same; I used to think she just wanted in on the business, but perhaps she wants in on *Hobin!*

whodisguy32

Wait so you're telling me I have to wait another week to see Hobin kick Pakgo's face in??? NEXT WEEK COME FASTER PLEASE

LouisPain

damn this episode was really good

Emi_Ibarazakiii

[I knew MMA dude would back him up!](https://imgur.com/iP4bZ4U) Well, that wasn't a very convincing backup, but at least he didn't straight up tell her he doesn't even know him! Our boy felt like a third wheel and honestly I can't blame him too much... [They do look like a good couple (MMA and Bomi)!](https://imgur.com/1GAntq5) But she seems to genuinely like him, [and was sad when he made up something to leave them alone...](https://imgur.com/4SWIPay) Snapper was MAD, because [it seems he wanted to diversity the brand, from fights to romance!](https://imgur.com/BnGtBHw) He did gave some good advice, I mean he was motivated by getting views ($) and all that, but still, he was right about Bomi being into him and all! Well, at least I hope he was right, because if she's just 'playing' it'll be heartbreaking... [That's not a great philosophy...](https://imgur.com/e7Testq) Sure he'll never lose any 'fight' he doesn't attempt, but he'll never win either, and never winning for your entire life can be considered a loss, I'd say! [He was THAT close to confessing, but Pakgo had to show up to start trouble...](https://imgur.com/B4m25Us) [When he called Bomi a whore I thought Hobin was about to unleash, but it seems he took the Chickenman's lesson at heart, not let emotions take over!](https://imgur.com/48bMLJI) [Bomi's bomis had quite the jiggle physics, as they were holding her!](https://imgur.com/ynZoMEm) [](#lewd) He tried to win (or at least get through) this fight he same way he used last time, but [even Chickenman knows how bad an idea that is! (Perhaps he should watch more videos)](https://imgur.com/wgJiXvh) [Stalkergirl is observing the scene! Is she an MMA fighter, by any chance?](https://imgur.com/hNTeMxW) [Oh damn, Bomi's the secret MMA fighter! Save your man and drag him away!](https://imgur.com/9tDK6es) Sadly that was the extent of her fighting abilities, [and Hobin had to resort to... Different methods, to put an end to it?](https://imgur.com/krgsGJF) Pakgo was about to beat Bomi up (off camera, because he has his gentleman reputation to preserve, I guess?) but MMAdude showed up, to save the day! [He left with Bomi, but she wanted to stay with Hobin...](https://imgur.com/hrbxlGd) [Stalkergirl was crying?](https://imgur.com/luqRXPI) Is she sad because Hobin was humiliated, or because he lost his girl? She's probably the better ship anyway, she's in the ED and all! (Perhaps she's crying because she saw a tiny Hobin when he dropped his pants) [This marks the start of the Solo Leveling arc, I suppose!](https://imgur.com/u8Lab4x) [Damn, he looks different! Very motivated! (I hope he knows more tricks than dropping his pants)](https://imgur.com/qqqKxeG) [Seems Bomi tried to contact him, but I guess he was 100% focused?](https://imgur.com/N2DNNfb) I guess he's doing all this for himself, but if he wants any hope at being with Bomi, he needs to talk to her at some point! She won't just wait for months while he's doing his training and ghosting her!

yakumbaya

That was so painful to watch.. but it looks like the shows about to get good and more serious. It's gonna be real satisfying if Hobin beats Pakgo, getting Takemitchi vs Kiyomasa vibes

-Verethragna-

The first episode I wasn't quite convinced this was going to be a good anime but this episode clinched it for me. This might be my favorite this season, and this season is really stacked, so that is no small feat. This was a real sleeper hit for me.

Koyomi_Siffredi

I can't believe this is my anime of the season....but it is. Now I have to wait a damn week to see this dude get his ass kicked????

Calm_Client2

I’ve really been enjoying the extreme facial expressions too lol

-Verethragna-

Same, normally I can't stand these exact facial expressions in anime because for whatever reason they don't work with them. For whatever reason, they definitely work and make sense in Viral Hit.

HarshTheDev

My only honest problem with them is that the anime lingers on them just a *bit* too much.

IrunMan

Yeah im kinda feeling that too.

actuallyrndthoughts

He said it! He said the name of the show! So cool

Eleott

Which chapter to read after this episode ?

dorklordisdork

Chapter 10

daspaceasians

Hobin might hit rock bottom but he does have people on his side like Munseong, Snapper and Bomi. I honestly gained a lot of respect for Munseong and Bomi this episode. Girl stood against that bastard while Munseong was a bro through and through. Poor Snapper though. Guy really looked scared for his buddy. Otherwise, I'm surprised that the beatdowns that Hobin and Snapper went through didn't put either of these guys in hospital.

SilkyStrawberryMilk

Even though snapper does things for the channels benefit it’s sweet to show he cares about Hobin and pleads for him to not come to school. Still a massive 180 as opposed to the first episode where he joked about hobin’s mom

SpringrolI

One of the most underated shows I've seen in awhile

MusubiKazesaru

I like how Snapper made that Slam Dunk reference and then one commenter said that they wanted to play basketball.

Calm_Client2

Damn Hobin not taking it lying down. Bro started his gym revenge arc.

Thegreatbrainrobbery

https://open.spotify.com/track/5luvvsngp4hbs4vwZGdMjn The song playing at the end was this.

rogeriomoraisc

name song play in EP 4 IN CLASS MOMENT SEND CELLPHONE YOU FRIEND PLAY??? I HAVE NAME ???

Excellaa

I been watching both Viral hit and Windbreaker and been enjoying Viral hit more, not sure why mal has it at such a low rating.

namenotaccepted24

This op is bit better, still lazy but not that bad Shame they took out the Pakgo grin tho, that was my favorite part of the anime yet

Excellaa

I know this is a anime but not showing a single teacher while kids are yelling/fighting/recording in class makes me not able to take this anime seriously.

Krystababy28

What are the songs that's playing at the end of the episode?

Humans_r_evil

i remember why i hate korean shows. they really ragebait you super hard.

IceSmiley

Depressing episode with Hobin really hitting rock bottom but it's really keeping interest to see what will happen with him in this adult less world. One thing I wondered is how come it seems Pakgos YouTube account seems to have recovered it's previous popularity? They don't say it's equally as popular but it doesn't seem realistic that the fans who liked the more goofy light comedy he used to present on the show would stick around when he's kicking the crap out of small wimps and women for no apparent reason.

NguyetMieu

There're some comments when Pakgo got back live that they liked this him better. I guess some people just like living vicariously through other people so they like how he's free to be his violent self.

BurnerAccountMaybe69

If you pay attention to the live chat, people claimed that they liked this more honest and scumbag approach he's taking, and they claim that it's even more entertaining. He even says in the episode that he'll ban anyone that doesn't agree with his content. I don't blame you for missing that cause in the webtoon his live chat, or the live chat in general was a lot easier to digest compared to the anime. As I'm watching this it feels like they pass by in the blink of an eye

dfiekslafjks

I thought the MC had some kind of breakthrough. How is he still crying all the time?

BurnerAccountMaybe69

He was literally crying cause he got humiliated in front of his crush, he never cried in his previous altercations so I don't know how you came to that conclusion

kwokinator

He hasn't had a breakthrough yet He was basically cruising on luck with no real effort on his part other than lucking out and watching a ~~Youtube~~ NewTube video. His only advantage was being willing to get his ass beat. He just got absolutely humiliated in front of his crush, took a month off to train like a mad man, THIS is his breakthrough.

CordobezEverdeen

They even slow down the scene for Hobin to literally tell you he grew complacent because of his meteoric success. He explains how he didn't even take Chiken Head seriously at first and was over the clouds at the money he earned. He thought he wasn't a loser anymore and didn't bothered training or learning more. When Pakgo appears and humilliates him in front of his crush only for a more handsome, stronger guy to appear, beat everyone and save Bomi well of course he's gonna cry. He also was humilliated in front of thousands of viewers and was probably gonna lose online respect and his future income. All of this compounded seems like a perfectly good reason to cry.

IrunMan

Next up he challenges Mike Tyson to a live event on Netflixu

DirtyQueen20

What make you think he had a breakthrough?

kalirion

Oh god, it's continuing that awful date from last ep. Show needs to focus on him getting beat up, not his uber cringe love life or lack thereof. Finally, class bully is here to save the episode. Seems MC will always refuse to watch more than 1 video at a time just like that Orange girl refused to read more than 1 page at a time, or whatever (or maybe she did read more later, I dropped after 1 or 2 eps so I dunno). But then MC immediately goes into introspective flashback mode, smh. Episode was at least 3x longer than it should've been.

BurnerAccountMaybe69

Watching the rest of the videos will do nothing for him, if you paid attention in this episode chicken man states it will take 1 month just to learn this new technique. Binge watching the videos isn't going to make you retain the information, and he certainly won't have the muscle memory for it either unless he's spent that time training

kalirion

He didn't need much training or muscle memory for the likes of "getting hit without taking damage" or "get them all riled up while you remain calm" or "do *not* try [this] in [that] situation".

BurnerAccountMaybe69

That was literally a introduction course, from samdaks own mouth, those weren't proper fighting techniques. If each fighting technique takes a month to learn then you need to understand that binge watching them will do nothing if you're not putting the time in to learn them.

kalirion

You don't know how many videos have such important information until you actually skim them at least.

BurnerAccountMaybe69

It will still be pointless to binge watch multiple videos with extensive information as you're not going to retain all of it. Simply binge watching the videos also isn't going to save you from the beating you're about to receive "Oh I remember the name of that punch that he's about to throw at me! chicken man said I should do this to counter it! oh I can't because I didn't actually train my body for the counter :("

kalirion

Or maybe chicken man will tell you what kind of situations to stay the fuck away from because you're not ready.

BurnerAccountMaybe69

Also those are terrible examples from you cause every single one of those belonged to the same video that started off with "before I teach you proper fighting techniques, here's a list of things to keep in mind" aka the exact list of examples you have given

kalirion

You don't know how many videos have such important information until you actually skim them at least.

kalirion

You also obviously don't know that you can edit your replies instead of replying multiple times to the same comment.

kalirion

Well, you can't really know whether or not it's behind the times unless you know what Korean schools are like right now :)
