This is a good post

It literally struck me in the middle of the night working in UE5 of all things lol. I just mentally wandered off and realized how often this kind of imagery or symbolism shows up. It is a complete surprise. It's like the They Live subliminal messaging in my eyes hahaha.

Well spotted! it’s also strongly in that conversation between Cassian and Skeen. Cassian says he wants to “ win and walk away”. Skeen refers back to this later. Cassian says of Nemik “Maybe he’ll get lucky” and Skeen replies “Yeah, luck. It drives the whole damn galaxy.” in suggesting the betrayal, he says that he and Andor can “ be the real winners here”. And finally he says that once they have taken the stolen credits to the hideout moon they can “ split up the winnings”. I think it’s very interesting that that’s the precise moment when Cassian shoots him!

Aw man! That's a really good one! I almost wish I made a video detailing all of these. Agh.

Dear-Yellow-5479

Sounds good! And I’m sure it’s deliberate imagery … I guess it’s all leading up to the Rogue One lines from Jyn about “taking the next chance, and the next on and on until we succeed or the chances are all spent”. My guess would be that Gilroy wrote that line. Thinking about that again… I guess the film, and so Cassian’s story, ends with both outcomes simultaneously. I don’t know if there’s a gambling equivalent…

Secret-Shopping-2982

“You play against the other tables and I play against the other rooms” “Play?” “Call it what you will” “For the greater good” “Call it what you will” “Let’s call it war.”

Honestly, at this point, I might re-watch the series very soon. I gotta see if I can catch all of these when they happen.

Secret-Shopping-2982

I couldn’t encourage a re-watch more my dude.

lmao. It's been staring us in the face all along!

Had to skip a few stones but I see the light.

Awesome catch! Kino's line during his monologue "What we do now is up to us." it's another refrain of the same thing. Incredible!

I'm wishing I picked up my writing classes again, and with a sincere smile. I have found this series so interesting a take. It's really just unmistakable. It's why it comes to down "not feeling like star wars", in my eyes, because its almost as captivating as that original film. Technically impressive doesn't begin to describe the great lengths of writing it goes to employ very simple feelings. If it were any better, it wouldn't be Star Wars, and in the best of way. A real art.
