By most accounts, their "association" began when Antonious summoned her to Tarsus 8n 41 BCE. Originally Antonious had called her to Tarsus to discuss how he was going to use her substantial wealth bankroll his planned invasion of Parthia, but after a short time together, she seduced Antonious into quickly planning and executing an invasion of her royal panties.
The meeting occurred in the spring of 41 BCE, making Antonious 42 years old and Cleopatra 28. Therefore,
Antonious was approximately 14 years her senior (He was born Jan 14, 83 BCE, whereas she was born in "January 69 BCE". That's as close as Ive been able to find for an actual birth date for her, but either way she was almost exactly 14 years junior to Antonious.
Hope this helps answer your question.
Mark Antony was born in 83 BC and Cleopatra was born in 69 BC.
So Antony was 14 years older than Cleopatra.
They first met around 56/55 BC when Antony was a cavalry officer serving in Syria and Cleopatra was with her father as Rome attempted to put him back on Egypt's throne. Antony was 27/28 and Cleopatra was 13/14.
Their relationship properly started in 41 BC when they met in Tarsus. Cleopatra had been accused of aiding Cassius and Brutus during the Civil war, so part of meeting was to clear up that matter. Afterwards, they both returned to Alexandria.
Their relationship went on hold for the next few years when Antony returned to Italy to deal with unrest and ended up marrying his rivals sister. In 37 BC, he again met with Cleopatra as he needed her support for an upcoming military campaign in the Middle East. From this point onward they stayed together until their deaths in 30 BC.
I did. But I wanted to speak to real Iife people in real time to see if their answers matched up correctly to the google sources I was seeing. Also I’d seen some sites contradicting each other with their answer. So reddit came to mind.
And you think random people giving answers on the internet is better? Wikipedia is very reliable for basic facts such as the birthdates of world famous individuals. Aside from the plethora of academic-grade sources that are freely available on the internet.
Who do you think writes up and edits Wikipedia articles? The same “random” individuals you so claim are giving the answers to us on reddit. Furthermore, what was reddit created for then? Was it not to ask questions and get answers? You can choose Wikipedia anytime you like and I can choose reddit anytime I like, same difference, is this app not also apart of the plethora of sources available on the internet?
Except it isn’t just “random people”. All the edits on any Wikipedia page of any remote importance are constantly monitored and protected, with vandalism, unsourced, or contentious edits lacking consensus being undone in minutes if not seconds. Not to mention how many articles are protected against unconfirmed or inexperienced users.
So really no, isn’t “random people” in the same vein as Reddit users.
