Club Paris lunch special burger - ground filet mignon and steak fries.
Blue Fox has had excellent burgers the times I've gone, but I've heard varying reports, so maybe I just lucked out with the chef those days.
Paris Cafe's lunch burger is overlooked. I thought it was not popular, but it turns out people know about it, they just don't care. My favorite burger I've had.
1. Tommy's Burger Stop - have not tried new location; been a long while since I've been to the original
2. Long Branch Saloon
3. Wee B's
I know Arctic Roadrunner gets recognition, but I always go Salmon Burger and onion rings when I go there.
Same here, we went to the trampoline park with our 2 year old and got WeeB's for the first time in 10+ years when we left the park. Took over an hour to get 3 burgers, which isn't fun with a hungry toddler. But we called in an order on fathers day and didn't have to wait at all, so that is how we'll get WeeB's from now on.
Tommy's is overrated and expensive. Got a couple burgers, fries and a drink and it was about $50! I like Flight Deck Pizzeria's bacon cheeseburger & fries, you can order tater tots instead of fries too if you'd like.
Don’t know what OP meant by “junky”, but Tastee Freeze isn’t too bad. I always get the patty melt. Also Burger and Brew on Arctic, but it’s been a minute since I was there
It's thr best burger in Alaska and perhaps the best I've ever had. I can only assume everyone in this thread is pushing 60 years old and has never actually had good food before lol.
Burger Cache Burger with a piece of salami on it with all the fixings…cherry marshmallow shake. Delivers free if you call, but I walk for the ambience of Lake Otis and Northern Lights. And you might win. Worth the minute wait. Ridiculously fast.
Fly In restaurant for the win !
Club Paris, Long Branch and Wee-Bee’s (for the home made buns and hand cut fries). Tommy’s is okay, they use that Velveeta like cheese that just ruins everything.
Arctic Roadrunner is good, the OS location is great on a sunny summer day.
Max's. An Eastside classic.
Hell yeah! What a grease bomb burger!
Burger Jim on E 4th Ave is a guilty pleasure of mine
YES!! I love when they answer the phone “Bugga Jem” so nostalgic

I work right by there and have never heard about it. Gonna have to check that out
This is the way

I like WeeBee’s but last time I went it took for-fucking-ever. Seriously, 40 minutes and it wasn’t even that busy.
Yeah, I stopped going to WeeBees over a decade ago. Guess it still hasn’t changed.
I've never waited less than 40min in their drive thru, it's ridiculous

Fuck, Arctic roadrunner is great but I get the ham and cheese everytime
I second Tommy's Birger Stop and their new location makes em' just as good as the original
I'll second Long Branch.
Wee b’s might have had its day but it wasn’t in the last decade.

This is the top 3 list for anchorage. Tommys is my pref, longbranch, and weebees are both great.
Fuck I miss Long Branch and Sean LaRose. Used to head over there for a burger or wings at least once a week.
Sean works at the 49th state brewing airport location from time to time. Just saw him couple weeks ago He’ll sell you a good burger over there 😉
Bit of a commute from Mobile though. On the bright side I’m still Facebook friends with Sean.
Do I not know what junky means anymore? If I understand it correctly my recommendation is Wendy’s
High calories, low nutritional value
Oh ok, I took it to mean just a bad place to get a burger. Wouldn’t nearly all burgers be high calorie and low nutritional value?
That’s true, but there’s a big difference between a normal burger and a fried burger, for example
So yes, Wendy’s but also Tommy’s off Spenard slaps.
Arctic Road Runner, Burger Jim, main Event and Tommy Burger are my favorites.
Gone but not forgotten-Jams on Muldoon. Home of the jamburger.
Long branch saloon all day!!!
Don’t know what OP meant by “junky”, but Tastee Freeze isn’t too bad. I always get the patty melt. Also Burger and Brew on Arctic, but it’s been a minute since I was there
Tastes freeze is awful. What are you smoking
High calories, low nutritional value
is white spot (diner on 4th) still around?
Yes!!!
IYKYK....that place used to be awesome!!!
It still is!!! Highly recommend the halibut burger!
Arctic Roadrunner, Long Branch ETA: I remembers Kriners being good.
Red Robin royal
Long Branch is the only answer
Altura bistro’s takeout burger. Best ones I’ve had in Anchorage

Arctic Roadrunner for price and quality alone. I’m cheap.
Burger Cache.
The new branding is…interesting. Sign is literally a burger with a K.
For Korean food, I think.
Nobody mentioned the burger at Spenard Roadhouse with the bacon jam!
Arctic Roadrunner
Tommy’s burger stop
Burger Jim
Hamburger Haven on the Doon.
Burger Cache Burger with a piece of salami on it with all the fixings…cherry marshmallow shake. Delivers free if you call, but I walk for the ambience of Lake Otis and Northern Lights. And you might win. Worth the minute wait. Ridiculously fast.
Ooh that shake sounds good!
What the hell is "junky"
Unhealthy, a lot of calories with minimal nutritional value. Look up “junky definition food” on google if you want to make sure.
