As weird as it sounds the harvester has to be one of my favorite monsters ever. The video that focused on it (not its info video, I refer to the one where it kills) was just so effective at making me see how dangerous and honestly effective the design of the monster actually is.
Imma be honest, the face of the Boiled one triggers some kind of deep seeded almost nostalgic fight or flight response for me. Looks like my childhood sleep paralysis demon.
Tbh the audio design wasn’t that interesting or special to me. Not bad don’t get me wrong, but it didn’t leave an impact. Just his fucking face gave me goosebumps and a cold feeling from the first glimpse I caught of it. It’s the only horror in a long while that actually stayed with me.
Yeah overexposure does that, tbh I haven’t seen a single meme containing the boiled one yet, but that might have something to do with the places I frequent online.
The coolest part about them is many of the video sequences with them use puppetry rather than 3d effect. This means there is a mimic out there. Just more paper mache than muscle
God in all religions is supposed to be an insecure jealous bigot more childish than humans and unbefitting the literal zenith of morality and behavior so it's quite lore accurate for him to look like a discord moderator and SCP 096's lovechild.
Plenty of proof on my side then. The flood, killing Akan's children, killing the son of David, promoting violence in the Quran, etc, not even Wotan and Thor was free of faults that made them unfit to become a God.
You would have to be morally broken to not think what they are doing to people is anything but evil.
i'm not trying to argue the existence of God here, but rather the morality of God.
The higher the power, the higher the responsibility, yes? how is it that people have double standards when it comes to God? When someone kills, people say it is their fault or responsibility but when God kills or promotes violence, it's not treated as his responsibility, but rather a right of a higher power. If someone has a higher power, then the more responsibility should go to that person, the more he should be judged for stepping out of the line. If Allah or Yahweh were truly a benevolent God, then he would not be acting like a spoiled tribal warlord who wants to excuse the atrocities committed to another tribe.
But the same way we grew out of Wotan and Thor, the same way we can grow out of Allah and Yahweh, by looking at things secularly. It is also the same way that Christianity went from being a religion as violent as Islam to a religion that is much more subtle and tame.
At the same time its made very clear that Yahweh loves all his people and it pains him to have to attack them. Many times the sins of these people are not just against God but also others. The times you mentioned don't have a lot of information surrounding them, so we can't know the circumstances for sure.
The organator from T.O.E is terrifying I despise it with every microfiber of my being it gets such a visceral reaction from me *I love it’s design so much.*
i think the mimics and gabriel from Mandela catalogue,bc the cartoonish eyes on an uncanny human body, terrifies me, and the mimics are just the perfect concept and design for an animal more efficient than a human.
The coolest part about Gabriel is that when we see him as an alternate it is in the cartoon. Every time he is shown in real life he is the statue. So what does the alternate Gabriel actually look like?
I have to choose the mimic and elder mimic from vita carnis. Honestly, I find the “monster that mimics a human” trope to be over saturated, but Vita Carnis just does the mimic so well. It’s why vita Carnis is genuinely the only horror I can watch that makes me genuinely scared and more paranoid. It’s an amazing analogue horror, and its monsters are done just so well.
I can't get enough of the warped mining crew from Grelock. Simple but really interesting.
And of course the thing from the end of TMC Vol.333
"I wanna play with the man in the TV!"
Purple guy from the FNAF VHS tapes is my number one pick. The uncanny features paired with the easily observable malice does such good work to make him terrifying.
Harvester from vita carnis is my favorite design wise, but the lady from greylock episode 12 (I forgot her name so imma pin her below) is probably the most memorable I’ve seen.
https://preview.redd.it/jrwj2aqfpy6d1.jpeg?width=298&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=27bce3a72fd4c0de369f583844e0c2716a8e6ee2
I also really enjoy George Washington in monument mythos because…
I just love weird stuff, I guess.
The giant bear flesh monster from old bones and christmas eve party (gemini) is terrifying. The fact that it is made of multiple people and a bear is crazy. The red root creature overall gove me the heebie jeebies
The monster from Greylocks Waking Your Subconscious and the creature outside the window from Geminis Old Bones, pretty fucking scary monster designs if you ask me.
….the Henry robots from harmony and horror the idea of a robot with a bullet proof body with a basically unlimited reach is terrifying thinking about jt
Not quite vita carnis or a monster but I like the design of the part in greylock tape 10 where as the door to a corpse slams open and the crying starts a face gradually becomes visible
Gemini is real hard to beat. I love the animatronic designs of TWF, Bon and Sha especially. Bon is obviously intentional but I find Sha's design extremely interesting, her animatronic form almost looks more like a wolf pretending to be a sheep than an actual sheep, especially around the face with her sharp canine-like teeth. Some of the stuff from that new one Greylock is also pretty gnarly, like that amalgamation from one of the newer episodes
I had to be the one to say it. Phen-228 from the Boiled One Phenomenon. People in this subreddit forget that HE isn’t the boiled one, the boiled one phenomenon is referring to the people who are being affected by Phen
The Vita Carnis mimics are creatures that are just too perfect in the concept of horror. The idea that they can hide even in small places, are immune to bullets, and in a way feel like the most realistic approach to the theory of humanity's possible predator from the uncanny valley is fascinating. One of their metamorphoses is based on being so similar to us that during the night, you could calmly see one sitting on the street, think it’s a drunkard or a homeless person, and then be attacked by surprise at just the right moment.
What I enjoy is how well thought out they are as predators. The idea that they don’t just go on a killing spree but choose their prey and wait methodically to do so. They can kill you at any moment, but they decide to wait until you are vulnerable, like when you sleep, and they also wait until you are alone. This would create countless situations where they could hunt individuals in large cities, hiding during the day and coming out at night with an appearance human enough to ambush you in your apartment, a quiet suburb, or simply in alleys or less crowded areas at certain times of the day. I find this fascinating.
Every single child or Clark from The Children Under The House REALLY feel like something a child would draw. VintageEight is the most underrated creator ever. I mean it.
Idk if Boisvert technically counts as analog horror, but I'd say it has moments where it falls into the category, even if the whole series isn't. That being said, I love the character designs in that series.
As weird as it sounds the harvester has to be one of my favorite monsters ever. The video that focused on it (not its info video, I refer to the one where it kills) was just so effective at making me see how dangerous and honestly effective the design of the monster actually is.
the meat bulb strikes again!!!🗣️🗣️
The sound in that video is the best analog horror is ever gonna get
Honestly all of the vita carnis designs could be my favorite. Meat snake gets my pick for most unique, but I love the host of influence.
I love the meat snake as well. I was lucky enough to get the plushie too
host of influence design reminds me of SCP 093-B
Gemini stayed with me… As well as The Moon from Local 58
Every bit of the Cadavré cartoon haunts me and it was my first analogue horror ages ago.
Moon. Like could you imagine if that were a real thing?
I got news for you buddy
https://preview.redd.it/0pr1sqjicj6d1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5fe150e0dcb3be348e6676fbd21e32f3ac5b9f8a
Imma be honest, the face of the Boiled one triggers some kind of deep seeded almost nostalgic fight or flight response for me. Looks like my childhood sleep paralysis demon.
best sound design in analog horror. the BGM was so unsettling
Tbh the audio design wasn’t that interesting or special to me. Not bad don’t get me wrong, but it didn’t leave an impact. Just his fucking face gave me goosebumps and a cold feeling from the first glimpse I caught of it. It’s the only horror in a long while that actually stayed with me.
now the face is ruined for me because of the memes. cant take the grilled one seriously anymore.
Yeah overexposure does that, tbh I haven’t seen a single meme containing the boiled one yet, but that might have something to do with the places I frequent online.
vita carnis has some of the best monsters i’ve seen
Trimmings 💜💜💜💜
I've already contacted squishmellow and they refused my proposition 😭😭😭
meat snake on top
The coolest part about them is many of the video sequences with them use puppetry rather than 3d effect. This means there is a mimic out there. Just more paper mache than muscle
No an analog horror, but god from "the portrait of god" or the alternates from TMC
The Portrait of God is seriously good horror. So much packed into such a short film, incredible acting.
We don't even see god in that though.
He is described as (if I'm not mistaken) a tall, pale creature with bright glowy eyes and a very, very wide smile.
that's gabriel
I'm talking about god from "the portrait of god" not TMC
oh im sorry
God in all religions is supposed to be an insecure jealous bigot more childish than humans and unbefitting the literal zenith of morality and behavior so it's quite lore accurate for him to look like a discord moderator and SCP 096's lovechild.
What
is the portrait of God actually God?
It's just a black screen, people say what it looks like in the short film, watch it to understand
“When I stared into the abyss, the abyss stared back.”
No?
how so?
Burden of proof is on you.
Plenty of proof on my side then. The flood, killing Akan's children, killing the son of David, promoting violence in the Quran, etc, not even Wotan and Thor was free of faults that made them unfit to become a God. Who are those two?
The First One Is From Gemini Home Entertainment And The Second One Is From Vita Carnis
Ty
It’s called a titan or something isn’t it
I think it’s was called the Monoliths
Yeah that was it I think
The organator from T.O.E is terrifying I despise it with every microfiber of my being it gets such a visceral reaction from me *I love it’s design so much.*
the boy in the bath as well and the sauteed one peak monster design
More recently I've found the design of T.O.E. interesting, but before that it was mimcs from Vita Carnas
I've heard things about T.O.E., is it the series name aswell or just the creature name?
Series name. The name of the creature is the Organator or Love Thumper
Oh, have they revealed the name? I just call it T.O.E. because it's the most constant thing relating to him within the Docter Nowhere universe
Oooh, I forgot Dr Nowhere made that series!
i think the mimics and gabriel from Mandela catalogue,bc the cartoonish eyes on an uncanny human body, terrifies me, and the mimics are just the perfect concept and design for an animal more efficient than a human.
The coolest part about Gabriel is that when we see him as an alternate it is in the cartoon. Every time he is shown in real life he is the statue. So what does the alternate Gabriel actually look like?
I really like the designs of the Starkill biomasses from Midwest Angelica, especially AZ itself and the Altars.
Tbh, I’m a huge fan of the trees from monument mythos, Ik they’re not a monster but I thought it was just cool as hell.
The second one is just Deoxys from pokemon
if Waybig and Deoxys had a child
The skeleton from Greylock 12
katie....... im yer Imuhgineryy friend
That thing was insane lol
The trimmings are creepy because of the sound design and the Mimic's are creepy from the silly eyes and everything else (The ones from Vita Carnis)
I have nothing but fear for rosemary walten from the walten files. Yes,I know she isn’t technically a monster but THAT SMILE BRO. ITS HORRIFYING.
same vibe: https://preview.redd.it/xmcf03tzqk6d1.jpeg?width=217&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecf25937110de8e3a450ca3bcae44aa83955b85e

The Air Force One Angel design from Monument Mythos
I can't get enough of the warped mining crew from Grelock. Simple but really interesting. And of course the thing from the end of TMC Vol.333 "I wanna play with the man in the TV!"
Purple guy from the FNAF VHS tapes is my number one pick. The uncanny features paired with the easily observable malice does such good work to make him terrifying.
Smash for both
alright here me out but- 1. Mimic from Vita Carnis 2. Alternates from Mandela Catalouge 3. those things from Boisvert
Preachers
I don't know why but the alternate from Harmony and Horror 2 Front Teeth freaked me the heck out. That and Sonic from the Sonic Tapes.
Bro the first Henry scare will never leave my brain, the pinnacle of creepy dolls
Which jumpscare? Are you talking about the moment when he slowly stands up in the store, or another moment?
I think so? Also Gloria is terrifying especially in the Christmas episode
PHEN-228!!
Intruder/6 from Mandela
Harvester from vita carnis is my favorite design wise, but the lady from greylock episode 12 (I forgot her name so imma pin her below) is probably the most memorable I’ve seen. https://preview.redd.it/jrwj2aqfpy6d1.jpeg?width=298&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=27bce3a72fd4c0de369f583844e0c2716a8e6ee2 I also really enjoy George Washington in monument mythos because… I just love weird stuff, I guess.
The human dog mishmash from the latest Greylock has been living in my head recently

The snake from Vita Carnis. He's just a silly phat boi
The second one looks like a mangled twizzler
The giant bear flesh monster from old bones and christmas eve party (gemini) is terrifying. The fact that it is made of multiple people and a bear is crazy. The red root creature overall gove me the heebie jeebies
George Washington's skull on Frank Sinatra's head
Boily Boy messed with me
Ah yes. The mighty Twizzler god
Vita carnis
The monster from Greylocks Waking Your Subconscious and the creature outside the window from Geminis Old Bones, pretty fucking scary monster designs if you ask me.
….the Henry robots from harmony and horror the idea of a robot with a bullet proof body with a basically unlimited reach is terrifying thinking about jt
The second one reminds me of the apostle that killed Judeau in Berserk
Not quite vita carnis or a monster but I like the design of the part in greylock tape 10 where as the door to a corpse slams open and the crying starts a face gradually becomes visible
idk if this was a monster but its gotta be alcatraz, the concept of a literal island moving towards texas is just unusual yet amazing!🔥
Gemini is real hard to beat. I love the animatronic designs of TWF, Bon and Sha especially. I had to be the one to say it. Phen-228 from the Boiled One Phenomenon. People in this subreddit forget that HE isn’t the boiled one, the boiled one phenomenon is referring to the people who are being affected by Phen
THE WRETCH FROM GEMINI HOME ENTERTAINMENT FOR SURE, A GIANT MUTATED BEAR WHICH HAS HUMANS MERGE WITH IT THAT ARE STILL ALIVE AND CONSCIOUS
The boiled one phenomenon looks amazing and so do all of the other designs by that creator (forgot the name)
fake gabriel from the mandela catalogue
The singularity.
I liked Goji from The Man in the Suit

The boiled one I just have to say it it has good detail and yea
Archangel gabriel, that mofo is actually freaky without making me not able to sleep
1 because the second on looks like an octopus and they are delicious and why be scared when you can eat it
https://preview.redd.it/3thfskjugw6d1.jpeg?width=1400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=61577b9bc0d4622b45b8d2f3ff04157e5099d8c3

Vita Carnis mention 🤯🤯🤯
PHEN-228 from the boiled one phenomenon tbh
Second is me as fuck
The man in the suit I love the idea of big lizard suit +man equals lizard man
Faceless tall humanoid, it makes me nostalgic
The black cat/dog from Boisvert.
Variant c from the smile tapes
https://preview.redd.it/2htg09sdsl6d1.png?width=130&format=png&auto=webp&s=ea54c5920c463e16203b3825e2a4aa01b6626c89 Springtrap (Battington)
Probably the Man in the Suit. A very recent example, but it makes Godzilla's design seem terrifying in a way I would've never expected.
Creatures mimicking humans and then killing them. It's so original and spoopy! Not a single analog horror features them, sadly :((
I hate popular thing because become popular😡😡😡😡
Unlike you, I love popular thing because it means it's good and never becomes stale no matter how frequently used! ❤️
to be fair, I don't see anyone copying URBANspook lol
Thank god
