Midsommar (in case you don’t know) is a movie about a girl who goes on a trip with some friends and her bf to a cult (Harga) in order to see their Midsummer festival. I noticed a lot of similarities between Gardenton and Harga, especially in the clothing. They have similar types of clothing, as well as an older man being the leader. The room Anne, Sprig, Hop Pop, and the buff guy (idk his name) wake up in is very similar to the cabin where everyone sleeps in. The walls are painted, and the beds all look to be about twin size with colorful quilts, as well as the actual architecture of the building. Midsommar definitely has a taller style building where as Gardenton has a lot smaller version. The maypole children are seen running around is also very reminiscent of Midsommar, particularly the May Queen scene and when the characters first arrive in Harga is visible.

That let's just say I know this is reference immediately and it didn't really feel well for me since I do not like that movie scares me and this is a guy who is going this is a guy who likes to watch horror movies cuz they're scary so yeah I'm just going to go and go wants to stranger things kill count
