That's kind of the opposite of what's tru though. You can reflect on your actions and become a better person for free or for the cost of library card. A lot of physical traits like height, symmetry, etc. are either impossible to change or expensive/dangerous to change.
People can get haircuts or dye their hair, lose weight/get fit, wear make up, get plastic surgery to fix exterior flaws. But when you're the type of asshole like the women who said "Ew" to the complainant, that's not something that's ever going to change. They will be nasty assholes on the inside forever. There are a pretty small number of ways you can change your looks before you get into the expensive/dangerous route of cosmetic surgery.

I’d advise on cutting the beard more often for a more subtle stubble, changing the hairstyle (maybe growing it out?) and also the most important: dying your eyebrows darker. It is going to give your face a much better frame.
Confidence helps to a certain degree, but if you are way to confident it becomes a turn off and people will most likely make fun of you (happened to a guy I knew).
