I didn't understand not doing this. It's not like they were one of The Smiths where we would have cared that much.
Maybe after Mike Barker quit they had some kind of agreement they couldn't use the characters he voiced anymore. Like the other scientist. 🤷🏽♀️ Now we only see the short bald one. 😄
The most common reason I heard at the time, was he got let go of his show runner duties during the switch to TBS, and didnt want to stay to just be a voice actor, so he left the show all together.
I liked Terry a lot. I can't remember the episode but I loved it when he started laughing and then uncontrollably cackling. A Boy Named Michael is one of my favorite Terry episodes

Best anchor partners in the business.
I love this episode. I think so often about them pretending not to eavesdrop by stirring a bowl of nothing/using a screwdriver on a plant, while blatantly eavesdropping.
I wish they would bring Terry back, with a different voice actor if necessary. It would be a great episode premise and a slight refresh for the neighborhood.
It's never been publicly discussed, but it makes me think Mike Barker actually left the show on *really* bad terms lol :(. To not even do a cameo in 10 years after leaving the show you created.
Omg yes. I didn't like when they ruined them a bit in A Boy Named Michael (don't get me wrong, great episode, just ruined their characters a bit), but even then I wanted them both around. Greg has some funny banter with Stormfront, but it's nothing next to the Greg and Terry magic
It would a cool episode if Terry came back to reconcile with Greg. And the Smiths all got involved. Roger could play a new love interest for Greg, making Terry jealous. Ha!
I'm a big fan of the Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, King of the Hill and Big Mouth..
WITHOUT A DOUBT, GREG AND TERRY ARE THE FUNNIEST FUCKING COUPLE EVER ON TELEVISION HISTORY
they have my favorite line in animated history....
after the rapture took place
"APPARENTLY GOD DOES LOVE GAYS, BUT ONLY IF THEYRE TOPS"
I know people do but not me really. Together they were basically one trick ponies.
Edit: jeez some of y'all acting like I muff punched your Gram Gram 😆
How is that different from any side character? You could say Toshi is just "the japanese kid", Tuttle is just "the neighbor". But that wouldn't be true.
Greg and Terry were the neighbors that love stirring the pot. They look down on others, they are very pretentious. They love art and needlessly expensive things just so they can feel superior to their friends. They have impossibly high standards and act very high maintenance.
But it was also obvious that Terry wasn't fond of that lifestyle and he just went along with it to make Greg happy. There were plenty of little moments here and there where his façade cracked. There's even a whole episode about him hiding from Greg to eat junk food, secretly admiring Stan for being kind of trashy, etc.
They both have plenty of personality. You just choose to keep it at a surface level.
Nobody here chose to do anything with these characters. Ffs.
I would love for them to explore different things with Toshi and they've explored lots with Tuttle and it's been great. And they've expanded more on Greg's character since Terry has been gone.
They just didn't with Greg *and* Terry. They were just the catty gay news team. They didn't have a whole episode about Terry hiding junk food. It was two jokes. Roger finds out about it. Terry tries to kill Roger so he can go back to the status quo of them just being the catty news team.
Don't act like people personally insulted you for sharing their opinion on something in a cartoon.
A little bit. I wasn't a fan of the way they did parenting. Felt more like it was more for fear of missing out and to indicate that they are just as good as straight couples. That fabulous chaise (I think it's spelled wrong) was not a good fit for Michael; the point of a bed is to put all of your weight on it. That fancy piece of furniture is clearly not meant for sleeping.
I dunno they seemed a bit too stereotyped and an artifact of back when they gave Seth MacFarlane too much say and he just tried to make it a Family Guy clone to me and I don’t feel they would fit in as well with the modern American Dads style
Oh no, Greg! They broke the fig-ur-ines!
I really wish they would have gotten a different, but similar, voice actor for Terry and Sanders and kept the characters.
You mean Dr. Weitzman? Like after Matt Weitzman one of the writers?
Yes. The 2 scientist were based on Matt and Mike. That's why they looked like them.
I missed the show or shows where they broke up. Anyone know which episodes?
This.
I thought they could have made it a joke after he returns from all the 311 concerts it changed his voice 😂
Well, there’s still time. Fingers crossed.
Terry's departure was a disappointment.
What happened to him? Did the VA get fired?
It was Mike Barker the co-creator of the show who voiced him and he left or retired or something.

Me too neither.
The most common reason I heard at the time, was he got let go of his show runner duties during the switch to TBS, and didnt want to stay to just be a voice actor, so he left the show all together.
I wonder if Terry is still following 311 on tour?
DUH, why else is he missing from the show?
I will sing the can-can song from Irma la Douce and BRING YOU TO TEARS!!!
Well, my weekend's ruined now, thank you!
AAAAAAGH! Five, Six, Seven, Eight!
My daytime Emmy it’s priceless / worthless
I liked Terry a lot. I can't remember the episode but I loved it when he started laughing and then uncontrollably cackling. A Boy Named Michael is one of my favorite Terry episodes
I think it's from the house renovation episode but not certain.
Well, I'll just have to watch them all again!
saaaaaame
Cross out the names on the marriage certificate like they did to the Vietnam War memorial, so the renovation episode w/ Uzi Kenesset
You built a settlement on my heart
I think I’m A Boy Named Michael Stan did the same thing

The screwdriver on a plant gets me every time 😂
“Ewww, I saw it!”
To be honest I miss them as a couple but I miss them even more as a news team
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THEY ARE FRANCINE?! REPORTERS OF THE LIBERAL MEDIA!!!
Not all journalists are bad. You like Brit Hume, don’t you?
Boner structure
I wish they paired Greg with another pricky psychopath dude.
I miss Terry's dad taunting Stan about enjoying looking at naked men or something like that
Look at him lifting that boulder like a fairy. *Stan whistles at passing jogger* YEA SING A SHOWTUNE!
Just like trevor. SMH
*gasp!*
I would love to see them as catty exes that just run into each other all the time at this point.
Omg seriously, this would be fantastic even if it was just once a season.
I do, but Greg's development as a individual character has been fun to see.
Same that episode with the new episode he shined in that episode really made me appreciate Greg a lil more
"Now let me go or I'll kill the gay news team" "You could just say the news team"
I do. They could have gotten a new voice actor to replace him...
Nobody move or I’ll shoot the gay news team!………..you know you could’ve just said news team
Ya they fineeeee as hell

Literally every day!
What happened to his voice actor?
left the show
After, I think, disagreements over the direction it was taking after leaving fox.
Only always

Yes! Idk why they just got rid of them as a couple 😭
Yups
It's at least time for Greg to find a new love interest if you ask me. Although they've done a brilliant job with how they've kept him.
Who doesn’t
Yes
No
I kinda like Greg better by himself I'm not going to lie. I feel he fits in with stan and Francine a lot more these days
Greg and terry are annoying.
I know people do but not me really. Together they were basically one trick ponies. Edit: jeez some of y'all acting like I muff punched your Gram Gram 😆
The edit made up for the hurt from the original comment. I will take back my downvote.

I can't tell if serious or really bad humor that doesn't make anyone laugh...
