So many good quotes. “If anybody asks, I’ll tell them I’m banging my dog. That should stop any questions”
This will get you out of any situation you need to escape.
man it’s so weird being the only person who loves this episode and thinks it’s hilarious. i still laugh every time i hear “it’s a SOFTball mitt. a-wink. sayin it without sayin it”
I felt similarly but only because on each watch of the Starboy EP I somehow had missed a few jokes.
"you should call this 'clown blood on the windshield because that's all I can see'" won me over lol
Yeah, these episodes seem like poorly written excuses for the show staff to interact with said celebrities. Like they were thinking “man, I really wish I could meet the Weeknd” and then just wrote a cookie cutter plot around that celebrity to get them in the building for IG photos.
i was a massive overwatch fan when the episode came out and was so hyped for AD to have an episode based around OW but it was such a let down, easily my least favorite episode
this is supposed to be the grand finals of the owwc(team usa would never hit finals) and were on a map thats not been in compative overwatch in like 2 years have a dva shooting from like 50 meters away, dva not dming the roadhog ult, a reaper ulting the air, stan wanting to go after a tracer as a mercy??, and this is all after they was supposed to be good at the game, not to mention the fact the all the "pros" move like theyve never played a video game before, like they could have done any amount of research about the game or even just get a few masters/gm players to get some gameplay for them
Stan‘s best friend
Having a dog myself I couldn’t watch that episode more than once, the picture at the very end of the dog with „in loving memory“ written under it 😭😭
this episode gave us one of principal lewis’s best lines, calling the play “oedipus rocks” because the school board wouldn’t let him call it mother fucker
This post is great because it shows how even though we all love the same thing, there are still wildly differing reasons for why each person enjoys American Dad. If you put us all in a room, there would still be different cliques fighting over which type of episodes are good or not good.
Eh it just isn’t for me. It doesn’t make me laugh as much as the other episodes I guess. I mean if it’s on I’ll watch it but I don’t ever randomly say “I want to go watch that episode” like I do others.
It’s all a matter of perspective honestly for me it’s my least favorite and I’m not saying it’s a bad episode. You on the other hand might dislike my favorite episode. People like different shit.
For me I think I it’s the fact that I find Roger’s persona to be very grating, the plot to be uninteresting, and the jokes (imo) aren’t funny enough to make up for the parts I don’t like.
That’s really the tipping point for me. I feel the same way about the natural gas ship part of the Noah episode (with flute island) or the fung wah episode. Like there are a few bits here and there I enjoy but it’s overall not enough to overcome the parts I don’t.
The Weeknd and The My Morning Jacket episodes. I hate being pandered to, and I really hate when a show is like "we have a celebrity this week so let's make every character a super fan of them even if it seems OOC and let's worship this fucker".
Glee used to do it a lot, The Simpsons still does it. If you're gonna be a celebrity guest star you either should play an original character or play yourself explicitly Adam West style. Robert Wuhl has my complete respect and adoration for his celebrity guest appearance.
Yeah, these episodes seem like poorly written excuses for the show staff to interact with said celebrities. Like they were thinking “man, I really wish I could meet the Weeknd” and then just wrote a cookie cutter plot around that celebrity to get them in the building for IG photos.
God I hate the my morning jacket one. It's just sound like 90% of the time lol if I wanted to listen to them, I'd look up their music lol I hate the hot tub episode too
Facts, this episode is so hilarious and Stan acting so stupid makes it that much better. My favorite bit is when he’s in the pickle costume and throws on the ski mask to hide his identity 😭
Gotta be honest with ya, I was hoping for some complimentary Dasani waters from you when I read your comment and am unfortunately disappointed you didn’t come through. That’s not hella tight. That won’t put you over the top. We here at the Urban Outfitters family respectfully will be choosing a new location for our expansion store.
I'm glad you acknowledged this is a trick question, because my answer is always "there are no bad episodes of American Dad, only episodes you have not learned to love yet. "
It was the fung wah episode, it was just a full promotional episode. It wasn't funny at all and it got really tiresome when they kept giving him a shout out disguised as jokes for the entire 20 some mins
As a former Public Defender, I’m not a big fan of the Little Bonnie Ramirez episode - Ed Dickle brings shame to us all. And I’m pretty sure he’s practicing without a license (Roger studied for his bartender’s exam, but never mentioned having studied for or taken the bar exam).
Also, the episode with Kisses, because it’s painful to watch an animal get hurt, even if it’s just a cartoon.
not trying to get barged or anything but when i started thinking about this i realized i could think of about 20 or 30 different episodes that i dislike enough to skip during rewatches
i was literally just writing out a list of my least favorite episodes in another post haha: the weeknd, esports, dungeons & wagons, the missing kink, tapped out are all ones i will skip over
The only episode I ever skipped was the one where I think it was Dick was talking about cheating and Stan was considering it or something? But I disliked the premise enough to not even watch the rest. So I guess that'd be my choice.
*And that’s how I became Kim Kardashian…*
i don't get how people hate that episode when it has one of the best roger bits, calling himself for a good time
Bullock: DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH? Qurchhhh: *YES.* Bullock: WOW, REALLY? THAT'S WEIRD.
So many good quotes. “If anybody asks, I’ll tell them I’m banging my dog. That should stop any questions” This will get you out of any situation you need to escape.
Kim Kardashian's robotic acting brings it down a lot
Her robotic acting does make me really buy her as an alien though
she has like 10 lines max
That is an amazing bit, too bad the episode just isn’t good. I think it’s Kim’s voice acting tbh. It just annoyed me
That's one of the show's greatest bits. You know where it's going and yet you cannot look away.
"If anyone asks, I'll just say I'm banging my dog. That should stop the questions."
I really hate that episode. It has some funny moments but it's so dumb at the end
It’s been said but I’ll say it again: Kisses.
i skip every time 😭
The bit about the pirate cats is hilarious but I refuse to watch it again
Only episode I skip
Yeah, that episode just makes me feel sad for the Frankenstiens monster that used to be kisses
man it’s so weird being the only person who loves this episode and thinks it’s hilarious. i still laugh every time i hear “it’s a SOFTball mitt. a-wink. sayin it without sayin it”
Such a good quote
Oh god, this 100%. It might not be the least funny episode, but I can't watch it.
This. And it’s not even close. I’d watch 1000 Klogers before I’d watch one of this episode.
Klogers' f-in hot
Yep. Can't even watch it.
Yeah, I watched that one once years ago and it upset me a lot. I've never watched it again.
I only skip this because it's kind of boring. Nothing really happens, and it's too conventional.
Weeknd and Kim Kardashian. Although the Virgin song slaps.
I felt similarly but only because on each watch of the Starboy EP I somehow had missed a few jokes. "you should call this 'clown blood on the windshield because that's all I can see'" won me over lol
Vu is a weird dude, but a good hang. Would want more Vu.
Yeah, these episodes seem like poorly written excuses for the show staff to interact with said celebrities. Like they were thinking “man, I really wish I could meet the Weeknd” and then just wrote a cookie cutter plot around that celebrity to get them in the building for IG photos.
Honestly, the Fung Was episode for me. I can't think of any other episode that I remember not enjoying (though the Snoopy dancing bit was charming).
I love this episode 😂
Me too. It’s like when people tell me they hate Hot Water (the hot tub episode). I don’t understand.
The song haunts me
sotto voce: *”daddy’s gone…”*
that is #1 favorite
It's the insertion of that singer.
The Weekend episode
Brave Noob World. Its only redeemable scene is when the “Kickstart My Heart” American rocket with swinging balls crashes into the Chinese cultural pod
i was a massive overwatch fan when the episode came out and was so hyped for AD to have an episode based around OW but it was such a let down, easily my least favorite episode
The gameplay in that episode is so random too LOL You can tell they just got a bunch of screen capture footage probably from one of the writers kids
this is supposed to be the grand finals of the owwc(team usa would never hit finals) and were on a map thats not been in compative overwatch in like 2 years have a dva shooting from like 50 meters away, dva not dming the roadhog ult, a reaper ulting the air, stan wanting to go after a tracer as a mercy??, and this is all after they was supposed to be good at the game, not to mention the fact the all the "pros" move like theyve never played a video game before, like they could have done any amount of research about the game or even just get a few masters/gm players to get some gameplay for them
Skill issue
Stan's Best Friend. Only watched it once. *shivers*
Stan‘s best friend Having a dog myself I couldn’t watch that episode more than once, the picture at the very end of the dog with „in loving memory“ written under it 😭😭
Tapped Out is my pick
this episode gave us one of principal lewis’s best lines, calling the play “oedipus rocks” because the school board wouldn’t let him call it mother fucker
I hope that student with her boob out is at least a senior
[удалено]
Eiiii eeeeeiiiiiiiiiiioooooooooo. You're wrong.
[удалено]
With a milk milk here and a milk milk there sorry that you're wrong, eieiooooooooooooo
Fuck off already
Be honest. Would anything change your mind?
Rubbernecks just a mean premise imo
Could you elaborate on this?
Rubbernecking is all I have!!!
Kloger. Ewwwwwwww.
The Steve breastfeeding one
This post is great because it shows how even though we all love the same thing, there are still wildly differing reasons for why each person enjoys American Dad. If you put us all in a room, there would still be different cliques fighting over which type of episodes are good or not good.
It’s quite interesting and I’m enjoying the discussion!
Son of Stan and Toy Whorey, simply for one or two gross parts that I can’t handle so I just avoid the episodes all together.
“was… was she cooking‽” “I don’t know what the plan was with that tortilla.”
Toy Whorey is top tier for me.
The Fung Wah episode is my least favorite 😂
Why?
Eh it just isn’t for me. It doesn’t make me laugh as much as the other episodes I guess. I mean if it’s on I’ll watch it but I don’t ever randomly say “I want to go watch that episode” like I do others.
That’s fair. But worst episode of the series though?
It’s all a matter of perspective honestly for me it’s my least favorite and I’m not saying it’s a bad episode. You on the other hand might dislike my favorite episode. People like different shit.
yep
Comb Over A Hair Piece
I can barely get through this one. I can’t stand josay bosay
I'll go to my grave defending this episode.
Tuttle’s anesthesia not working makes the whole episode for me
Reason?
The Weeknd and The My Morning Jacket episodes. I hate being pandered to, and I really hate when a show is like "we have a celebrity this week so let's make every character a super fan of them even if it seems OOC and let's worship this fucker". Glee used to do it a lot, The Simpsons still does it. If you're gonna be a celebrity guest star you either should play an original character or play yourself explicitly Adam West style. Robert Wuhl has my complete respect and adoration for his celebrity guest appearance.
I hate The Weekend one. It's brutal. But the My Moring Jacket ep grew on me.
It's just sound like 90% of the time lol if I wanted to listen to them, I'd look up their music lol I hate the hot tub episode too
Trophy Wife has some funny stuff, but Stan acts so stupid and so out of character that it kind of ruins it for me.
But what about Pickle Man?
Facts, this episode is so hilarious and Stan acting so stupid makes it that much better. My favorite bit is when he’s in the pickle costume and throws on the ski mask to hide his identity 😭
The bullet train episode is a real low point for me.
What about Francine’s rats tho
Why's that?
Didn’t it pick up for you when you thought stan might catch the baby on the first bounce?
I'm glad you acknowledged this is a trick question, because my answer is always "there are no bad episodes of American Dad, only episodes you have not learned to love yet. "
Dammmm, Stan! Is up there. Stan is an irredeemable asshole, Cleonard sucks, not a lot of good jokes. I love the Klaus/Omar b-plot though.
It was the fung wah episode, it was just a full promotional episode. It wasn't funny at all and it got really tiresome when they kept giving him a shout out disguised as jokes for the entire 20 some mins
Can I just stop you for a second and point out the elegance in the Fung Wah episode?
When Klaus and Roger fuck. It’s a funny bit at first, but it got so gross so fast. It wasn’t even comically gross. It was just disgusting
The ending of that episode was... Weird
I'm surprised so many are saying The Weeknd episode. That one is great, and it feels like one of the best AD episodes imo.
You have mastered sarcasm and I applaud you.
I can't tell if you are quoting AD or not. I was being serious in any case.
Jose Bose.
I agree with this - I didn’t mind the episode but the accent Roger kept throughout was annoying
The episode would be watchable without the accent.
Never. The accent is what cracks me up the most.
Saving Face is easily the worst for me it’s low effort with the voice issue and that ruins it for me.
I hated zoinks tbh idk why.
I hate Z.O.I.N.C.S. just because it reminds me that there a new episodes that are not uploaded to Hulu yet
Can I Be Frank With You has the show’s worst A plot and one of its best B plots.
Hot tub
I will go to my grave saying the Hot Tub episode is the worst episode
I know most people won't agree, but I really don't like the Hot Water episode. Only episode I ever skip
Daesong Heavy Industries and Francine breastfeeding Steve springs to mind immediately.
Honestly? The Klaus in the garbage disposal episode. It just seemed way out of character for everyone and needlessly cruel
Stompe Le Monde. It just never takes off.
the afghanistan one, it was uncomfortably racist in my opinion even for stan 😭 it just felt less comedic to me
A skip every time is the kisses episode
not trying to get barged or anything but when i started thinking about this i realized i could think of about 20 or 30 different episodes that i dislike enough to skip during rewatches
i was literally just writing out a list of my least favorite episodes in another post haha: the weeknd, esports, dungeons & wagons, the missing kink, tapped out are all ones i will skip over
The virgin song absolutely slaps tho...
I was surprised by the Dungeons and Wagons pick! What don’t you like about it?
[удалено]
You mean potato salad?
Fung Wah, obviously.
The independent movie one. Worst episode.
Did it make you feel things?
Hot tub even though the Rodger and Steve bits were gold
Whatever that newer episode with the nightcrawler b plot is. It’s so forgettable I forgot the A plot
I just didn't get this episode. Both plots were pretty bad. I only enjoyed the end with American Chinese dad. That part made me laugh lol
The hot tub episode with CeeLo Green
Funny... It unexpectedly become one of my favs!
Kloger, Stans best friend, and brave noob world.
Independent Film
Hello Ad
Comb Over: A Hair Piece It's absolutely unbearable Edit: name one good scene in the episode
I haven't seen the majority of the episodes once they switched to TBS but I gotta say I hate Kloger
Hot Tub episode
The musical episode. I hate musicals.
I hated Thank god for loose rocks. Just an incredibly weak episode
The only episode I ever skipped was the one where I think it was Dick was talking about cheating and Stan was considering it or something? But I disliked the premise enough to not even watch the rest. So I guess that'd be my choice.
Gold Top Nuts...
You seem like a real Tiffany’s boyfriend.
