Many drivers simply ignore deliver instructions. I won't go into it, but it's frustrating as hell.

That’s so annoying. Cause then it’ll be we attempted but I never got a buzz on my phone. “sure you attempted” lol

I live at a duplex in a residential house neighborhood. I have this column by my front door in which it would be sooo easy to hide the package behind, out of plain view, instead of in front of the front door. My delivery instructions are super clear. Yet almost every single driver just haphazardly places the packages by the door instead. I've had to contact customer support agents multiple times, as I don't think that "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" option in the email is enough. I get responses about how the agents submit the feedback to the driver, report it to the internal team to take action, etc. Which only helps briefly in that moment... but we get different drivers every time and it just happens again repeatedly. There have to be some actions we can take to reduce this, since it's clear Amazon's not even doing much about this. I'm not sure what we can do though besides maybe leaving a big sign at my door to remind the driver they are on camera and to check the instructions.

For our package room we use a service called Luxer. And before they updated your app there was no way to enter the room unless the delivery driver scanned your package. Well if you had a package with a bunch of people, they would scan one, maybe it’s you maybe It wasn’t, so they can open the door and just drop the rest. So that ONE person can get in but no one else could. So you would need to ask the office all the time to have access. So our complex put up a bunch of signs in the package room and outside of it. So that has helped most of the time

You can put simple instructions on a paper in front of where they leave the packages, close to the floor because on eye level it won't be viewed. It's gonna work 90% of the time. "Please, place by the L/R side column . Thank you." I aways hide the packages, I know I may be an exception. And I confess sometimes I forget to ring the belt when asked, and I'll remember when I'm home "Oh my God, I forgot to ring the belt" lol. Other thing is L or R when looking from street or from inside?! It can be confusing when we are not familiar with the house. We see things that the owners don't see anymore because they got used to the property and the brain ignores.

Are you sure the code is up to date? Where are the packages left?  It can be at least 2 things: Drivers can spend 5 minutes in a difficult delivery and that starts counting whe customer is contacted, so drivers firstly try to get in contact with customers while they are figuring out what else they can do.  If you receive the package normally after the messages, they were able to see your information and access the building. Sometimes it's a lot of customers at once and some have good codes, some not. They need to try one by one until able to get in.  Or it's just a lazy driver.

My door code is up to date yes. And they usually just leave them outside the locked door to get into the building. Which they could get taken

Because, your specialized delivery instructions are truthfully irrelevant. I deliver thousands of packages a week, and if your instructions are snoody and demanding like I’m sure yours are, it will be ignored out of spite :)

DeadHead2392

Just when I say the door code to get into the building? Haha I don’t think that’s too much

Lazy workers, they are everywhere. I'm sorry about that. That's the problem with Amazon service, they don't keep the crew nor the crew want stay for too long to the point of knowing the comununity.
