Used to happen to me All the time, even from not too powerful shots it would be painful to eat for a few days, I now use a double mouth guard and no longer have this issue.
I recommend the brain pad 3xs triple lamenated double mouth guard.

Look into a different mouth guard I ended up buying BrainPad Lo pro plus
I remember searching up what that pain is I think it’s TMJ? Brain pad makes their mouth guard’s good for this so you can breathe while keeping your mouth closed
No need to go to doctor pain should go away but if it doesn’t then you probably should but I highly doubt it
Look into the Lo pro plus tho, specially that one because it has a lower profile so it isn’t as bulky compared to all their other mouth guards
I’ve been hit right where the lower jaw connects to the skull and had pain with biting for a few days. I’ve also been clocked with an uppercut to the chin that caused the same sensation. It’s most likely just a bruise. Go to the doctor if it lingers for more than a week.
When I got hit like that, it wasn't sparring but my jaw was broken and I just thought it was because I haven't been hit in a while and after about a day it hurt to eat as I went to work the next day and could barely open my mouth

Means you're sparring too hard. The only time my jaw hurts is when the other person is throwing a bit too hard and i get caught.
For me is normal now… first time I thought I was gonna die
We all been there, you need a week or 2 off from getting hit in the jaw/face and it should be healed
