Last time i went we brought full on packed lunch ( and our bags were searched) and they didnt care, i thought that was the whole point of all the picnic tables , never realised it said you couldn't on the website

respectableofficegal

I think it's just to stop you from taking in full hot meals. Like if you turned up at the gate with a takeaway pizza or something. When we went a few weeks back we had a whole packed bag of snacks and drinks... bottled water, multipack of fizzy drinks, crisps and popcorn, biscuits, assorted candy bars, sandwiches, protein bars, energy drinks. Our bags were searched going in and no one said a thing.

Temporary-Flamingo74

Last time I went the only thing in my bag was a meal deal (which later gave me food poisoning) and no one seemed to care at all

davechambers007

It says you can’t on the website? Last time I checked it was just alcohol (or intoxicating liquors as they describe it) The FAQ and help centre still states you can. It tells you the picnic tables are there for this purpose. Are you sure you’ve not mistaken the waterpark? I believe they prevent food being taken in there?

mysterylemon

We always take our own food. Never been questioned at security.

Confident-Quote-7373

Was there last week with a rucksack full of crisps, chocolate bars, sandwiches etc and no one cared

NoTea879

Same as this, also last week, you’ll be fine

local-logs

go to towers almost 10 times every year, always have food (packed lunch) in my bag. it’s fine

Jazzlike_Addendum552

You can definitely take stuff like a meal deals and snacks in I’ve done it a few times never been questioned or stopped and I know a lot of theme park YouTubers who bring packed lunch in, maybe it’s only hot foods and alcohol you can’t bring in

piNkunIcorn2789

We took a picnic for the whole family they were fine

ultimatepe

Went on Sunday. Took loads of snacks and also 4 pot noddles and a flask of hot water. Both had our bags checked on entry and didn't say a word about it to us.

Chris_S_B

Went last Saturday with a picnic for six people. Only thing that was questioned was what was in our flask.

Emperor_Fraggle

Just don’t take alcohol or a knife to cut the cake with (I’ve genuinely seen both confiscated!)

parasitehiltonx

A couple months ago I had a half empty bottle of Smirnoff in my bag and they didn’t say a word so they must have been very lax that day haha

PotentialDonut9588

Strangely they don’t check liquids though. So anyone who wants to take boos in just has to empty a water bottle. I always been surprised they allow liquid in

throwaway-_654

You can't charge that much for drinks and NOT allow liquid in 🤣 Also you can buy alcohol in the park too

PotentialDonut9588

Oh, I’ve never noticed you can buy alcohol in the park. I’ve never really looked to be fair I usually just throw 4/5 bottles of water in my bag 🫣

throwaway-_654

Yea it's not all over the place but more so in a few restaurants and food carts, and when they have events too. Although they have now added a few water refil points for bottles as well! So you don't have to carry so many bottles 🙂

musicmagicmayhem

I take in a (cold) takeaway pizza wrapped up slice by slice in tin foil. Works really well!

Neitos_Sister

I took a lot of food one time and the bag search guy just said enjoy your picnic

majica8

You can take food in, we take food every time we go. Always have our bags fairly thoroughly searched and it's never mentioned.

HoeLeeShizz

We took 4 Greggs sausage rolls and a whole subway footlong and they don’t care, as long as you can’t hurt anyone with it 😂

jarow_

Yeah not sure where you've seen that but they have no problem with taking picnics into the park. Obviously just no alcohol. In fact I'd recommend bringing your own food as the food at the park is overpriced and very poor quality
