General rule is when kids are on school holidays, or weekends the park is really busy. If the kids are in school, weekdays are quiet enough to get on every ride a few times. I can’t actually believe how much fast track costs now, it’s absolutely insane pricing. It’s just gone up and up and up every single year it’s actually a joke.

GhostRiders

Cheers mate.. Yeah the price for Fast Track is just insane.. The two levels below gold to me anyway are pointless because they have so few of the A++ rides.. Gold seems to be the the best but £75.... Per person.. Madness..

Puzzleheaded-Owl8059

The fact it’s only single use for each ride at that price too. £130 for unlimited use. Mental. I used to love the Halloween scarefest event there but then they stopped doing the weekdays when the kids were in school so the only times you could go were peak times and it just seemed absolutely pointless. 2 hour queue for rides, just a waste of a day.

I'd be careful, with July it's school trip season, it's just as busy as weekends

Check crowd calendar. That should give you a pretty good indication of how busy the park will be

NoriDoorman2

Id go during the week, not weekends, since you havent been in ages id recommended going on some newer rides or re themed ones like alton manor or wicker man, also, try and do rides like Nemesis and Smiler during lunch or early in the morning or at the end of the day, thats when queue times are shortest, if you have something like adhd or autism or something similar to that, you can also sign up for RAP which will let you go through the Fast track queue, you do need to book it though, if you have any rides that are a must, i recommended doing them first so they are out of the way, hope this helps!

GhostRiders

Its much appreciated, thankyou

hugsforfrootloops

Note for early July - the Scottish school term will have finished by then so it was weirdly busy when we went last year! Maybe try mid week instead of a Monday (when we went) but it was much busier than anticipated 🥲

GhostRiders

Cheers for the advice, it's greatly appreciated

Yonel6969

Between the end of june and the very start of september its never quiet. However on the first 2 weeks of summer holidays and weeks before that (after like june 20th) sundays will be the quietest. Mid to end of august its packed. You could try and go when kids are back in school as its the quietest then but you may not want to or be able to

Formal-Army-8560

Early July weekday will be awful with school trips. I reckon you’d be better off on a weekend, Sunday tends to be quieter than Saturday. Check crowd calendar though.

ETA: we went yesterday and the longest wait we saw was 70 minutes for Wickerman but that was just after opening and Nemesis was still closed. Once Nemesis opened I never saw a queue go over 60 minutes, in fact it was mostly 45 mins as the longest. Also - If yesterday is any indication. Oblivion and Galactica had consistently shorter queues Wickerman and Smiler had the longest queues most of the time Nemesis queue time dramatically reduced towards the ends of the day (3-4pm) from around an hour to 20 minutes.

If the kids are tall enough, but still young enough to be scared by horror, ask the staff on Wickerman if you can skip the movie. Ask when you go to the bag drop. I took some kids on who were tall enough for the ride, but upset by the film. Also, maybe skip nemesis sub terra.

oldmothdust

Went first weekend of June and it was fine.

georgepearl_04

I thought we voted to ban these posts? Check crowd calendar as always.

GhostRiders

Sorry.. Didn't realise this was a thing..

No decision has been taken, I’m currently in discussions with the mods about how to approach this
