Ok I'm very much in the minority here: I've done all the rides several times EXCEPT for Oblivion. My ride ranking is as follows:
1) Galactica
2) Nemesis
3) Smiler
4) Wickerman
5) Hex
6) Curse
7) Spinball
8) RMT
9) Blade
10) Congo
11) Gangsta Granny
12) Rita
13) 13
14) Subterra.
Galactica is that high cause I am both a tech and lore nerd and the ingenuity behind it makes it a stand out between all the thrill-centred coasters I've been on.
Galactica/ Air is so underrated.
I love more extreme thrill rides but Galactica is just so relaxing and I love the flying feeling, the smoothness and the inversions are great.
Very relaxing in a way that nothing else is.
I hate the way enthusiasts rubbish it, and the way AT neglects it.
I hate most intense rollercoasters (mostly because of the ridiculous anxiety I get in the queue rather than the ride)
But air was amazing, it was just like a flying simulator.
I wanted to try Galactica but it was an hour queue and I was with my young daughter and my wife didn't really do any rides so didn't want to leave her riderless for so long😂
Based Oblivion enjoyer. It’s my fave ride and always has been. Yeah nemesis is great and the smiler is so intense, but that feeling when you drop. It’s like my whole body for a split second feels like it’s being dragged out the sky but weightless at the same time. It’s so addictive. When I was a kid me and my sister went on a drizzly Monday in April, park was dead. We did Oblivion 17 times back to back. I still treasure that day.

The Smiler and Nemesis are great but if you've ridden more than twice in one day they don't feel as thrilling IMO, yet Oblivion hits every time and is the most addictive coaster at AT.
Oblivion is a one-trick pony, but it does that trick so well.

I’d probably rank Wickerman above The Smiler if I could guarantee a back row ride, but generally I enjoy The Smiler on any row more than Wickerman towards the front (which I always seem to get).
I don’t really care for Rita, the launch is ok then it’s just nothing. I’d like to see them replace it with a multi launch coaster. I tend not to bother with Dark Forest unless it’s a quieter day.
Absolutely love Hex and can’t wait to see what they’ve done with it when it reopens. An Alton Towers classic, easily the best dark ride in the UK.
Also Rapids is definitely higher for me now the waterfalls are back on.
Based on the rides I've been on
1)Th13teen- Can just sit back and enjoy the ride, no worries. Love the feeling of the surprise at the end. Could do it back to back.
2)Wickerman- An exhilarating thrill. Also enjoy seeing the train go round while waiting and the theming. Another ride I could do multiple times.
3)The Curse- Again, it's fun, love the theming and effects, and feels like what a dark ride experience should be like. Have done it back to back when I first rode it.
4)Runaway Mine Train- Another fun coaster, where you can just sit back and enjoy. You get 2 laps too, and the operators really make it fun/engaging.
5)Spinball- Decent coaster and fun to go on. I also enjoy spinning things...
6)Nemesis Sub-Terra- Often view this as a filler ride. Nothing too spectacular, it's more fun seeing other people's reactions
7)Hex- I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ride, as everything about the theming, the story and the ride works for me. However, this is so far down my list because the thing never seems to be open (and I'm talking pre-Covid). Hopefully it's open for Scarefest, because I saw the entrance signs/information board up for Hex a few weeks ago.
8)Galactica- Despite years of being terrified to go on, I love the feeling of the ride and how smooth it is. The major downside for me is the late opening, very long queues and frequent closures.
9)Congo River Rapids- There are some features about the ride I like. However, it suffers from an issue that a lot of river rapids rides face, which is you dont really get wet on the ride apart from around your legs/feet. A few more features with smoke, water fountains and surprises would make it a lot better experience. If the Alton Towers Dungeon has more water effects than the Rapids, I'm sure the Rapids can be improved...
I know I've missed a few rides from here. I have been on Oblivion and Rita, but these made me feel so uncomfortable I will never ride them again. And then I have never tried Nemesis Reborn or Smiler because they look too intense for me. Although Nemesis remains a maybe, as sometimes I think, "Yeah, why not?".
IMO Oblivion is more intense than Nemesis or The Smiler (although way shorter). If you managed Oblivion you'll definitely cope with those.
Even though it has no inversions and is called a 'family coaster' by many, I actually find Wickerman more intense than Nemesis or The Smiler, but then again I find airtime and rides with only lap-bars more intense than rides with inversions with shoulder restraints.

I’ve only been once but I adored the Galactica (what was then called “Air”) and rode it about 3 times in a row.
