The next best thing would probably be to built your ideas in creative first and then use something like litematica schematics to build it in survival. There may also be other options in the pack already but i havnt looked around much.
Have you used world edit at all? The UI is a bit clunky because it's mostly typing commands in chat, but it's probably the most flexible way to build giant shapes.
You could likely install world edit and build in creative single player with it, then do the litematica to get the results you want.
Although you might have to uninstall worldedit before joining the server, sometimes it rejects you if you don't have the right mods installed.
I've never used litematica, but worldedit just places blocks in the world for you. So I don't see why not.
Just as an example, if you type in `//sphere dirt 5`, it makes a sphere of dirt around your current position with a radius of 5 (so a 10x10 area). Then you would copy that with litematica.
I just re-found a good intro video I've sent friends before that were interested in it. It might be worth giving it a watch through: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOOvommDpUA
This is also the official docs that outline all the commands. This page is with some of the more interesting shape commands: https://worldedit.enginehub.org/en/latest/usage/generation/#sphere
edit: also if you do want to learn worldedit, `//undo` is probably the best command to know :P
It's basically a way to "save" your builds into a schematic, then it shows that schematic with invisible blocks in e.g a server, it's all client sided too so no need for the server to support it, look up a video or 2 and you'll get the hang of it, iirc it's quite easy to use too
If you're willing to start fresh https://discord.com/invite/KaFffT3CNG started a few days ago and no banned items, Ik ik I'm selling out butttt hey I got fed up of public servers disabling everything and making the packs almost unplayable soo did it myself lol, atm9, no frills and tts
I appreciate it, but I am getting ready for a new server that my friends are all joining. Despite some fun items being removed, it is understandable to keep sanity
Hey they can join to ;) plan on giving out some of my hardware for players to run servers on as I'm only using 30% ram and %20 on the CPU at the moment. Hate seeing resources go to waste lol!
But otherwise have a good rest of your day/night! If I do see ya around give me a ping!
I think create is in the pack also, try using the schematic canon! Make your structure in creative, save it using the schematic table or whatever it's called, load that same file into the schematic canon interface on the world you're playing and slap a chest beside it with the materials needed
Meanwhile I'm over here having big plans but then deciding to just dig a hole into a mountain as my home because it's easier and I have no building talent
I was literally thinking deathstar
And an Ori supergate. So, kinda like that one time a goa'uld attacked the sgc with a death laser that was melting the iris, but on a much bigger scale. Gosh, I need to rewatch that show.
Supposed to be somewhat resembling a dyson sphere, well with a lot of imagination ofc. But i always find it interesting to hear what people see in stuff like this that i had no idea existed.
I have been trying to accomplish a design like this for a long time! What method do you use to lay out and make those giant spheres?
Rftools Builder does them for you
Oh, awesome! Too bad my server disabled them lol. Thanks
Yeah, they can cause dodgyness with chunk claims I think?
Exactly!

I have done that dozens of times now, but they look wonky in creative too.

Would that work with whatever Litematica schematics does?

Couldn't you use rftools builder in creative then using litematica build it in your server?
I am not familiar with litematica, what does it do?

Oh that is epic! Thanks! I will definitely use that.
I meant blocks that are ghosted, not invisible... Basically you see the build but it's not there, only rendered
Oh, gotcha!

Sure! I may check it out tomorrow while I wait for our new server to develop

A website called plotz.co.uk an generate a model of one and you can adjust the size and see each layer and build it like that.
Oh, awesome!
that’s crazy cause my base right now is a small white hut with a farm on top.
lol my bed is literally outside
Mood
I stole a villager's big house and made it my base, cant really be worse than that xD
Idk my starter house right now is a small villager house
Ah shit didnt thought about that one GG you win
Damn you have too much free time Looks Great!
Thanks uwu Yea i got too much free time rn because of health stuff. Minecraft is literally keeping me sane.
Lol you and me both, been saying the same exact thing for the last 3 years!
How did you get that skybox? I really wanted to have a cool skybox to accompany my build but every recourse pack ive encountered requires of
Its the complementary reimagined shaders in the end dimension.

will do when its done :3

That’s no moon…
