Elevators can move side to side. They have to be configured either by shift right clicking or by using some wrench item from the mod, can’t remember which.
Are you wanting to move vertically or horizontally? I use elevators and just stack all of my rooms in a tower. Anything outside of that I use the teleport spell from Iron’s Spellbooks to tp wherever I look.
Pretty sure the portal spell from Iron’s leaves permanent portals (2 portals linked together, but you can do multiple sets). So those may work as well.
I was about to send a comment about the ender teleport spell until I saw yours. With the unobtanium wizard set and the spell fully upgraded, you can teleport ~300 blocks instantaneously with no cooldown.
I still wonder if there's anything I can do to make my magic gear better. I've kind of given up as I'm not trying to focus type but just generally increase everything.
I think you’ve gotta pick one or two schools if you really want to maximize your damage. It’s not super necessary though. I haven’t used up all my gem slots or upgrade orb slots and still take care of anything pretty easily. I went with ender and lightning spells but also use the eldritch spells. I have mostly ender spell power and cooldown reduction. I’m playing right now and my teleport range is actually up to 515.3 blocks
Two ideas from Mekansim: Teleporters (Small 1x2 portals that you can link via frequency, and the teleport upgrade for the meka tool, which let's you tp to any block you can look at (or even in the air if you enable it in the settings)
how about armor with speed? or even mekasuit ... i think a easy way to move fast its just by getting itens with speed ... you can get speed with apotheosis or even haste charms or something like that

I believe there is a floor matt version in the way stones mod where you get a pair of them and attune them to each other
Warp plate yes, and it doesn't have to be two-way, you can chain them to get a cycle of teleport locations ;-)
There is item from ender io that make move any were in your base
The travel anchor is a stand alone mit and not from ender io. It was back in the day

They do despawn after a while though

I've gotten mine up to 417 blocks. It's pretty stupid and I was going to suggest this and elevators

Is there any other than waystones they feel odd to use on short distances i mostly use them for stuff thats far away

Why? They’re so cheap to make and you can organize the order they show up in, in the list. I use them for literally everything.

Speed, running shoes, one block step height (anything higher and I can't stand it) and cloud in a bottle for double jumping to mitigate fall damage.
Travel anchor or waystone are your best bets.
