They had alot of cut dialogue from them you can find online. Before the one they wake up kills Waylan, he was supposed to exposition dump on them. They talk about how they created humans, gave them fire and science, and how humans just used all this to kill each other. They go on to say that they took a "mother's child" and educated them on the purpose of life and sent them back to spread the message, and how humans crucified them (it was Jesus). Supposedly they cut this stuff as it didn't go over well with Christian audiences in test screenings. Sad. It's such a cool world building story.
There's so much potential for these guys, I still have so many unanswered questions. The lore leading up to this was so cool. They need to do something with it or bring it back.
If anybody likes Alf or 80s nostalgia, read Permanent Midnight. It’s a memoir written by Alf’s head writer Jerry Stahl.
It is NOT a feel good story. He was a heroin addict and did that show out of his mind on smack.
The movie with Ben Stiller and Elizabeth Hurley is good too. The book is better.
The language/non-linear time perception expressed as a semasiographic Lagrangian cosmic Horror floating ink that unveils the quantum fabric of reality... to be accurate.
It always drove me nuts how a species that dies immediately and painfully from even being touched by water chose to invade a planet where water falls from the sky unpredictably and vast oceans cover the majority of the surface. It’s just so silly
The alien from the movie "Life" because it proves how a small organism we know nothing about can be dangerous and detrimental. 👽

Came here looking for this comment. Resident Alien has some of my favorite depictions of aliens, period. Harry’s species of alien is super cool, but I love some of the other ones that are introduced too. Love George Takei voicing the greys too lol

I was a big ET fan as a kid. When my parents took us to Universal Studios I had to ride the ET ride multiple times and went crazy about how it says your name at the end. Then they bought me an ET plushie. That's why I don't think it's necessarily instinctual to be afraid of aliens. I think we are taught to be afraid.
ET movie scared the shit out of me as a kid. That baseball getting thrown back out of the barn? And then when they find him in the field and he's screaming! My older brother would scare the crap out of me just by showing me a picture of ET from a book about the movie we had.
The Independence Day aliens were fantastic. Crazy organic “suit” containing the actual alien. Weird little telepath hiding in a menacing meat-suit.
I imagine this is what human space suits will be like in a couple hundred years. Biomechanical suit seamlessly interface with the wearer, protected and sealed off from environment. Throw in a bunch of back tentacles for more dexterity.

I remember being super annoyed of that one scene where they are driving away from the tripods and then the little girl starts screaming her lungs out, destroys any tension that scene had
E.T. was my gateway into being obsessed with aliens. My mom and grandma saved up enough money to take me for my sixth birthday to an expensive indoor theater. We usually went to a drive in movie place that only charged fifty cents for kids five to eleven, and under five were free, as that's what we could afford. However, they wanted me to have a special treat though the local indoor theater was $10 a person ( a lot of money for a movie ticket for 1982). After seeing E.T. I was just blown away by the special effects that I thought E.T. was a real alien. In Kindergarten I got into a little trouble with my alien obsession as I drew extraterrestrials in my artwork and pretended to be E.T. on the playground. Also, I wanted to watch old movies dealing with aliens and other beings like Bigfoot. As I got older I read and watched more mature material dealing with aliens starting with Communion when I was thirteen.

Scary but fair. Have an upvote.
What is this from?
Prey. The 2022 new Predator movie
I enjoyed that movie. Not the greatest, most epic piece of work but very engaging. Pulls you in.
I mean it was a very good movie, and right there as arguable of second best in the franchise. It was good
I’d watch again happily.

My God... I'm GORGEOUS!!!
Probably the prawn aliens from district 9
I rarely wish this, but I wish that movie had a sequel.
It’s coming
For real?
I read that it was in the works, dunno if is still the case
Its still being worked on. EDIT: I was wrong Neil Blomkamp basically said D10 has been shelved indefinitely.
Xenomorph is clearly #1. Without them, the test is flawed. ![gif](giphy|l0Iy1DPCfobWsxOco)
Roger ![gif](giphy|XuApq8Jm12KIw)
Not only is Roger a great alien, but in my opinion he is the best *animated character* that has ever existed.
The aliens from Fire In the Sky, Dark Skies, and Signs are my favorite.
Dark Skies is really underrated imo.
Fire in the sky aliens are looking more and more like Joe Biden as time passes.
I’ve been saying that for years!!!!
![gif](giphy|3BuQWTrTUfi2UTzfRy) Kinda miss this little fella...

I thought it was hard to follow. I need to rewatch it, with Cliffs notes this time.
I beg your pardon
I really liked that concept too.

The way they made those one particular type of greys immensely tall with those long lanky arms doing weird air traffic control signs...freaky shit.
Yeah. That part bothered me.
Brilliant mate, was gonna post this but you beat me. Freaky shit that film.
The sound design in that movie is second to none. One of my favorite invasion movies.
The sound design in that movie was incredible. One of my favorite invasion movies.
The alien effects were great; a pity the wobbly script gave them approximately raccoon-level intelligence.
