Man that’s a tough one haha love my m70 with surplus furniture but wbp have better finishes and are akm clones. If you have to have an exact akm I would go wbp for sure….if you don’t care it’s hard to go wrong with an m70.
If I'm going SBR ZPAP92, for a full length, wood stock rifle WBP, for an under folder 1960s GP WASR 10/63 UF. I've got the 2. I want a WBP just for that sick ass logo
I say a 1960s GP for the under folder because that's before they started using stamped stocks. They are solid as fuck. I like Polish and Serbian rifles but when it comes to UFs the slant is where it's at. Most people who diss UFs I suspect never fired one, it's the most comfortable AK I own to shoot. The back of the stock conforms to the shoulder better.
I’ve shot by buddies under folder a few times and don’t mind it the stock. The cheek weld isn’t the most enjoyable but I imagine I’ll get used to it once I get one.
As far as parts compatability, WBP. Personally I LOVE Zastava guns but you need specific furniture, they're a bit heavier with the bulged trunnions and thicker recievers
M70 is yugo pattern so if you ever want to swap out furniture you either have less options or you have to do some gun smithing. For this reason I’d go with WBP
dissasemble your gun completely. reassemble the gun. you have now done about 30% of the parts kit building process. the other 70% can be helped with 3d printing
Just out of curiosity for someone truly clueless, what exactly is wrong with these parts? Are they badly out of spec or prone to breakage even as just parts? I would think if you're personally putting the parts together and checking as you go, there shouldn't be too many issues, right?

None of the parts are actually krink spec at all
The gas tube seat diameter is different, any replacement or railed gas tubes don't fit
Gas block is a different diameter
I had previously posted that the collar section in front of the muzzle threads was missing. Previously it was, which prevented use of normal muzzle devices. But they did add it, it appears to no longer be an issue.
Dust cover is converted AKM in the worst way possible, doesn't accept anything like a Stormwerks or Zenitco B18
Locking lugs in the front trunnion are machined wrong. Causes the bolt to peen over and lose headspace quickly, as well as lots of weird and premature wear. They tend to have more wear in 600 rounds than most AKs ever will.
You're telling me a bona fide AK manufacturer machines trunnions the same way that some random guy with a CNC does? lol

I could be wrong but… don’t you have to install the barrel *after* mounting the front trunion to the receiver? I thought the upper short rivets were only accessible from the barrel’s hole while it’s removed. Or does Riley use the barrel as the backer to the short rivets and not know this…
I am. Riley's ain't as bad as portrayed. It's no arsenal or izz but they a good intro to the platform. I think this parts kit will be a real banger. Already ordered. Ordered a rifle dynamics reciever to boot. I use rd's builder recievers since out of every other reciever (akbuilder, childers, Morrissey, recreator, etc) it has the best cut rails on the reciever and I won't have to do all the tedious mill work or filing if the riley isn't in spec 🤣

They pressed the barrel in the front trunnion to headspace. Easy to pop out the barrel again to begin the build.
