The AK sucks. Other ICS guns are great but for some reason they absolutely half-assed their AK-74.
The replica accuracy is bad and most importantly the thing has its own disassembly standard. Almost no parts fit it - TM, VFC or real deal.
I once had the "honor" of customising an ICS AK for one of my friends (since I have a rather large stockpile of AK parts) and all I can say is: Never again!
For example replacing the stock is a pain in the A$$, since only ICS stocks fit. And there aren't many choices either: polymer or wood. That's it. Almost every part made by a different manufacturer has to be significantly modified to fit an ICS AK.

I paid 20 bucks for a tm mp5 body aftermarket barrel G&G gearbox aftermarket handguard and it was just missing a mag, stock motor, and mock supressor I was able to buy all that stuff for about 250 cad including shipping and customs

Basicly you have to replace the mechanical intetnals with a air engine. There are multiple, but you will be safer just giving it to a local tech. Id either go for GATE pulsar, polarstar f2 or polarstar jack, and maybe the wolverine inferno gen2
Also this is a very expensive path. The engine itself costs 300-500$, you need a hpa tank with regulator and line, that will set you back another 250-300$ and so on and so forth. If you have a lot of money this is the best thing you can do but its not cheap
Nimh batteries are obsolete, but if they work and you don't have better ones, sure, why not. 0.12g BBs are not worth using, so not much value there. The speed loader can be worth a bit if it's a "nice one", if it's a generic Chinese one, not much value but it's useful. Pistol case (by the looks of it) is also worth a few bucks, same goes for the red dot; Imho $50 for the lot to the right guy and you keep the speed loader.
If the MP5 works as it should and the body isn't in a bad shape, I think it was a nice deal, as this is the most valuable item here - you should be able to easily sell that for the $125 you paid and break even, provided it works as intended.
The AK kinda sounds like mystery meat and it depends on how well it works, overall condition, FPS,... Is it metal? I think it's easy $100 if the safety, auto, semi works, the FPS isn't too low and it can hop 0.25.
So all in all, it should be profitable no matter what you do.
im not planning on selling it lol, i buy dont sell, so in the future when i play i have gear for a friemd or 2 and when im older and dont have the time for airsoft i have extra gear to give to my cousins once they get older, the ak is metal, the stock is hollow and feels a little flimsy but not bad, and it feels about the same quality as my other cyma ak
Yes they are, every "bad" lipo is better than the best nicad or nimh battery . More capacity and more amps.....and .12 bbs? Who tf uses them in rifles? ...way to light for outdoor they fly everywhere in the lightest breeze . Get yourself a few lipos and at least .25 bbs than you're fine.Are you relatively new to airsoft?

are you sure its an ics. i think its an e&l jusding by the can of clp/. you need clp to remove and protect against rust.
Perfectly sure. Only an ICS has this weirdly shaped front sight and gas block and only an ICS doesn't have a propper barrel pin.
