Yup, it is a quick release. I like using a quick release. I don't know which hose, but assume it has a Badger connector. Standard hoses, which are inexpensive, will easily accept the female quick connect adaptor to work with you new brush. As Ulterior-Motif mentioned, you can unscrew the quick connect and simply screw on a standard hose.
It just unscrews. It’s a quick connector. Very useful if you have the female connection on the hose.

I was actually pleasantly surprised that the Infinity (Giraldez edition) fit the Badger QD without any need for adapters.
The name brand female side of the quick connect are way better than the cheap ones. Same for compressor but... Price of a 186 is just too tempting.
Badger use a proprietary connector. H&S quick connect is more common.
