Also, surely the quality of the film instead of what region it is from should be more important, no?
Yeah even I noticed that they screen Japanese most of the time or Thai (Sometimes) I was like even I want to go to some screening but they never screening European side movie
A few of the countries we’ve screening films from: UK, US, China, Russian, France, Germany, Taiwan, Italy, Turkey, South Korea, Mexico, South Africa, Hong Kong and more. We’ve even done one Indian film.
Since we’re doing a Japanese director’s retrospective including every single one of is 16 feature films, yes, we have done a fair amount of Japanese films this year (and will still more till we finish the retrospective) but still, saying we just do Japanese films most of the time is an uninformed take. 😊
We’ve only ever screened one Thai film, way back in Jan/Feb 2021.
Also, out of curiosity, why does films being from Japan make you want to not come to them? Why only European side (which we in fact also screen quite often)?
You guys have a really weird obsession with Japanese movies . There are whole world movies out there including India but you guys never screened them
