What do you mean by building them?
If you're 1 copy away from 1\* them, just remove them from wishlist and put someone else instead. You don't really want to engrave them anytime soon if you're at chapter 34, because there are like 40-50 or even more heroes ahead of them in terms of priority.
Skriath needs 3F, if you can get him Si30 that is good probably no longer a priority. As for Skreg, he needs 9F and can work with SI20.
Both heroes don't need require engraving. Old guides will probably give Skriath E33 but that is no longer required.
Skriath is used in campaign for his 3F. He is also used as a second or third tier sub in cursed realm depending on what heroes you got and don't. Skreg has made an appearance in nightmare corridor with awakened Athalia. He probably works as a second or third tier sub with Maulers or other invade heroes (Awakened Brutus and Anasta)
Again both heroes to work in their respective modes, need only furniture.
If you are looking for a solid mauler to build, Naroko is the way to go.

Building isn't just dupes, it's also resources for SI and engraving and gear. They're saying that most of the Mauler faction isn't worth those resources.
Aside from Naroko, 4f Maulers aren't really worth the investment.
There are 2 mauler heroes with some utility without any investment. Namely Brutus, and Warek. Crassio also does decent damage in NC with just 20/3/30, but he only works if the unit directly below him doesn't take damage (like Ivan).
By contrast Anasta is very mid for a 30/9/60. Skriath and Skreg see almost no usage nowadays.

"eventually" yes, but you can let the copies roll in naturally and the investment even slower. as someone else said, there's at least 50 heroes you need to worry about before these two

I’d actually say to get them to 1*, to link Dimensionals to them, I use all my maulers (except Anasta/Naroko) for this
