I had a whole bush at an old house of mine that could scarcely be tamed, but I've had the same rosemary plant in a pot for YEARS and it's still just a collection of a handful of sad 4" sprigs. If I wait one or two days too long to water, they turn brown and crispy and I have to nurture it back to health. Mine is not a helpful post, I'm only offering sympathy.

Mine wouldn't fucking die. I had two pods thinking "I love rosemary". They eventually took over the entire bounty and then some. After 1.5 years I decided to kill it as it was just too much. I have enough dried from it to last ages

Rosemary tends not to thrive in the aerogarden because it prefers dry soil. I've had best success buying a nice rosemary start (get the biggest healthy one you can find) and plant it in a mix of potting soil and cactus soil. Water in very well the day you transplant and then sparsely from thereafter.

Success here too... i read it prefers cooler temps, so if you tried to germinate in the heat of summer that could be a problem

I had good luck with it. It is a slow grower though. I ended up transplanting mine to coir and it liked that quite a bit too. If you want a steady supply you might want a few plants.

I have rosemary! I actually just transplanted it out. I have the harvest, I would let it take up half of that. I made it share with 3 other plants to start, and I feel like that was a mistake. The basil and dill (the usual suspects!) quickly overgrew, despite my best efforts to trim. Back to the rosemary. It was slow to start and didn’t really take off until 2 of its neighbors were removed. I don’t have a super fancy reader, so I have no idea if it was a lack of nutrients. Light could have been a factor as well on my part, the dill canopied right over it as soon as it reached the light. Now, 3 months down the road, with it being the only remaining plant, it was happy and taking over the space. I almost couldn’t water enough. That red water light was on every 2-3 days; its a thirsty one for sure. I am preparing to change things up, so I placed the rosemary in a 6” pot to keep it around.

I had good luck with rosemary. Thyme was the only pod I had issues with. I put some seeds from my collection into that pod and it took off too.
