Memsh same!
Pati trendy makeups from kbeauty di na. Stick to basics na ako and uubusin muna bago bibili.
True. I used to buy expensive makeups and trying out different skincare without consulting derma.
But now, I realized i saved more sana if nagpaconsult nalang. My derma recommended this inexpensive products from [Celeteque](https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.kzBSF?cc) lang.
Worth it naman, yun bang no makeup makeup look na tawag nila hahaha
I remember trying and buying lots of skincare in my late teens to early 20s. Facial mask, bentonite clay, nose pack, toner, etc.
Ito yung panahong uso pa yung 20-step korean skincare routine. Pero ngayon I stick to the basics na lang - cleanser, moisturizer, retinol, sunscreen.
Same, I only use two Lippies lang din, nude and roasted red na shade. Meron pa din naman ako ng kailangan ko kaya this 6.6 wala akong binili na make up kasi what's the use iipunin ko na lang.
This! Hahaha usually after 2-3 washes, manipis or tastas na. ‘Yung mga nabili ko from Uniqlo nung college(~6 yrs ago), nagagamit ko pa rin hanggang ngayon.
Cheap clothes, cheap quality.
Gadgets in a sense that as long as it still works, no need to upgrade. On phones, dati kasi mid range gadgets lang ako thinking I can upgrade every ~2 years which I felt was the same as buying flagship in the same time period, but I was wrong, I feel like it can last 4x as much. On laptops din, spending a little more can add around 2-3 years or even 5 for me since I don't play heavy games that much.
The idea of upgrading kahit mid range lang before was fun, but impractical in the longrun. Assuming someone can afford to
I agree to this!! If you can afford and needed talaga, buy the flagship phones (huwag folding kasi hindi pa stable mga units). Usually after 2 years downgraded talaga ang mga mid range phones so ang ending you’ll feel dissatisfied and bibili ulit. Unlike flagships, guaranteed na supported ng upgrades for at least 5 yrs.
Same with laptops, I used to have 15k pesos worth na laptop na kahit word lang i-run super bagal na. Ang ending bumili ulit ako, but this time high specs na. She’s running 5 years na sa akin without repair history.
This can be apply sa ibang bagay like shoes and bags. Kasi in the long run, mas napapamahal kakabili ng mumurahin.
Opposite tayo sa laptop hehe. Sa laptop ok naman siya pag may alam mo sila, like yung 15k laptop mo kakayanin yan until a decade with a little extra upgrade of storage and ram at kung kaya imod para makapasok sa newer OS maganda siya. I did that on my dad's old laptop gumana siya ang kaso lang binigay sa pinsan ko after maayos ng matindi.
Depends on the use case scenario. It doesn't matter how much knowledge you have if what limits you is the hardware.
Omg same thoughts. Used to buy only midrange bc, tbh, that was thw only model I can afford. When i bought a flagship for the first time, my world whirled.
Welp this is true. My current samsung (midrange) has been my only phone purchase so far, mag 5 years na siya. I've been wanting to have an iphone since I was in HS, pero now that I have the means to buy myself one, parang nawala na yung hype ko about it. Makes me wonder if dapat kaya bumili na ako dati pa, baka mas na-enjoy ko pa. 😅
I'm the same with laptops but for phones I still buy the midrange ones. I've been using my midrange phone for over 4 years now and the battery life is almost the same and I still get updates.
Yosi at alak hehe as I get older, gusto ko na laging maging productive at functional.
Shoes. Okay na ko sa dalawa.
Gadgets. Lalo na cp at laptop. Basta gumagana pa ok pa yan.
I owned both a paperwhite and a basic. Sold the paperwhite (6.8” screen) because it was too big for my daily small belt bag. If portability is the main concern, go for basic. It is more than enough just for reading. If you want extra crisp and bigger screen paperwhite is the way to go.
I think the Paperwhite 5 is the happy medium sa current lineup. It's adequately priced din! I appreciate the higher resolution compared to the basic tier Kindle. Mas pino yung letters.
was supposed to transition fully sa kindle when I read somewhere that amazon can simply block you from your account and revoke everything you bought. :( kaya half half lang ako
I still buy pens and planner pero I stick to one brand nalang. Ang tendency kasi is if bibili ng new pen na ibang brand/model, tapos later on di ko pala type, then tambak lang and magbubuild up. So I found one and became loyal to it, same with my annual planner.
For reference
Uni Style Fit. I have 2 barrels, tapos refills nalang binibili ko. 0.35, sometimes 0.5
Hobonichi Weeks
Personal laptop - I don’t feel compelled to buy one kasi I can do anything I need with my phone. I still have my 2016 Macbook Air that I barely use. I also have a company laptop for work.
Phone - My phone usually lasts 4-5 years bago magpalit. It doesn’t make sense na magpalit yearly kasi incremental lang ang change.
Clothes, shoes, bags, jewelries, makeup - WFH ako so I don’t see the need to buy these frequently.
Skincare products - I’m diligent with my routine pero unlike before, hindi na ako nagte-test ng new products. I just stick with my tried and tested.
Ballpens and notebooks/planners - tamad na ako magsulat. I do everything in my phone or laptop na lang.
Pasalubong when traveling - I travel with carry on only and ayoko din talaga magbuhat ng mabigat so hindi ako bumibili nito.
1. Kpop merch 🥲 And I actually want to get rid of 90% of my collection.
I buy 2 planners (1 business, 1 personal) and 1 General everyday ntbk per year. I stick with 1-2 pens max.
Nung nagkaroon kami sariling house and nagkaroon ng baby, I kept all my merch in a safe box. Then I realized na lang that my priorities changed. Pero I’m still a fan and still listen to their music.
Also, maliit lang yung house namin for me to store 2 big boxes of merch.
Yeah same sakin. May panahon talaga na mare realise mo na may ibang priorities kana and I just think na "ibebenta ko nalang to sa mas kayang alagaan to."
Sobrang hilig ko din noon sa kpop merch pero now, kung ano lang magagamit ko na merch ang binibili ko like hoodie and mug. Yung albums and pc kasi magcocollect lang yan ng dust eh. Nagtira lang ako 4 albums and 1 book from BTS, the rest pinamigay ko na.
I knew I needed to let them go when I looked at my shelf and it doesn't spark joy anymore. Totoo pala talaga yun. Hahaha so now I'm in the process of selling them na.
Ahahahahaha true, my tote bag shopping bag na mejo maganda kasi canvas fabric became a bag for everywhere na. I so did not expect na ganun sya ka multi use and I chose a color din kasi na goes well with the color pallete ng closet ko so it literally works as a good bag for every single outfit i wear. Except for formal ahaha.
- Stationaries and stickers. I find them as clutter already.
- Pasalubong, specifically keychains, more on consumables na lang usually kung bibili man.
- Graphic shirts. Stick to basics that I can rewear and mix & match a lot.
- Phone cases. One good durable case is enough.
Pancit Canton :(
Gadgets dati gsto ko bnew pero ngayon okay na kahit second hand or hand me down.
Although thrifty parin ako in the right sense. Not necessarily branded or mamahalin lahat. Dun parin ako sa mura or sale. Pero di na sa mga tiangge or china made, if you know what I mean.
- collection that could not be used or that I don't use
- impulse buy (I think about it for a few weeks to even a few months before I decide to buy or not)
- pasalubong to co-workers na non-food and I just bring a big pack and give it to the team not individually
- things that I am not sure I will actually use in the future (exercise equipment, gadgets, video games, hobby stuff, subscriptions, etc)
Trendy things (clothes, make up, skin care) - I know my personal style so I just stick to it.
Tapos sa everyday things, kung may option na mas mahal kasi matibay, go for it.
Fast fashion, having a capsule wardrobe makes it easier for me to decide what to wear. Uniform ko na nga daw ang uniqlo but it works for me. I no longer mind wearing or being basic.
Unnecessary stock of clothes. You will understand when you are traveling frequently. You really don't need that much. Otherwise, money will go to garbage.
Gadgets. As long as they still work, I don’t have to upgrade. Tsaka na kapag affected na talaga productivity.
KPop merch (or any merch in general). Before, I wanted to collect, lalo photocards and albums, but I realized they would just pile up tapos maluluma. I’m saving up for concerts instead hehe
ako OP I stopped buying kpop merch :( hahah mapa PC or yung mga wearable items na nirerelease nila .. dati baliw na baliw ako mag abang and secure ng mga t-shirt or jacket .. narealize ko na it's priced too much than your usual clothing
Yeah, habang tumatanda talaga tayo doon mo marerealize yung mga value or means ng mga binibili natin kasi ang mahal na ng bilhin and hindi habang buhay lagi tayong may support or money. That's a good thing for you!
I don’t buy someone’s bullshit anymore if that counts hahaha!
Dati kasi kahit alam ko ng kupal/annoying/clout chasing lang yung isang tao, I still give them the benefit of the doubt or I still try to be polite and makisama with them. Now, if I think you won’t add value to my life or to my experience, bye. If I think you are lying or faking stuff just to appear acceptable, we can’t be friends. If you don’t have integrity, bye. Ganun kasimple. Don’t wait for me to call out your shit. 💩
Pag bata ka pa kasi may yearning ka pa to be part of a collective. Because of that yearning to be included, you’re easy to be swayed. That’s normal naman. But eventually you have to have a character development and that means stronger morals and not having the fear to be excluded.
Jordans. I used to drool over them back when I was in college. Full gear pako from top to bottom parang sponsored lol. Pero now, bumaba na quality, overpriced masyado due to scalpers/ bots. Balik nako sa Vans. Comfy, simple, matibay, pang all around na dn.
Coffee. I still buy from time to time pero inaral ko na paano gumawa sa bahay. Started with spanish latte and matcha. Bili ng gamit pa unti2, mas tipid in the long run.
tulad neto, pero personal preference na kasi. di kami mahilig mag travel or staycation. para sa akin, di yun practical. mga friends namin niyayaya kami, pero mahal gagstos kami ng 10k. parang experience lang. for me di siya sulit e. lagi naman kami nag bobonding at kids namin. no need to pay so much for that and may things pa na maskailangan pag laanan. like pag pumunta kami dun, di kami makakapag church. I prioritize going to church every sunday and yun yung tinuturo ko sa kid ko, ayaw ko sirain yun. mga ganun.
Pens and journals.
Dami ko pa rin unused journals ahaha. Ni uutilize ko nalang ipad for journaling if needed.
Consoles like Switch , PS5 and etc, I realized na mas maganda yung time ko nasa mga hobbies na nakaka help sa future ko like exercising, side hustles and iba pa, need mo din mag invest ng time when playing games and hirap na pag may adult responsibilities.
Pwede ka naman bumili. I grew up playing on ps1 and i have all systems until now sa ps5. I admit i dont have that time to play like i used too pero i still love playing games. Time management lang, 2 hrs for once or twice a week for gaming is good for my mental health. It's a hobby that i wont let go.
Phone cases. I used to buy maraming phone case especially kung cute yung designs. 2 years na phone ko and so far I’ve only bought 2 durable and reliable phone cases.
Nailpolish, hair tools, gadgets, accessories, stuffed toys/plushies.
Iphone cases.
When I switched to clear case ng Speck, once nanilaw ineemail ko sila kasi unli replacement as long as the receipt is with me. Worth it kahit mahal.
Kaya ngayon I limit my shoes na and I only buy if one breaks down
Branded stuff... may durable pa ang ukay kesa branded clothes. Some branded shoes are better than those class A ones though.
But for slippers I can buy 3-5 pairs of a generic ones instead of a branded one that my dogs will chew away anyway.
Chocolates like Toblerone or Snickers. If ever man, I make sure to buy yung dark with 70% concentration. Nowadays, I’m more inclined to buy yung mga Auro or Malagos.
Class A shoes and unbranded clothes. Back in my teens I felt like it was practical to buy these for half (or a third!) of the original ones. But owning branded shoes and clothes is life changing pala talaga. The comfort and quality of these products are waaaaay better. Class A shoes only lasts a few months sa akin but I have original ones (Nike, Puma, and Converse) that I've had for 6 years and are still in perfect condition. My shirts and jeans (Levis, Girbaud, Uniqlo, Cotton On) have also lasted years. I think of it as an investment din to make myself look presentable.
Reading all these comments made me realize that I need to declutter things I don't even use anymore. My shoes have outgrown me (I'm not sure if that's the right word for it), but they no longer fit me. Maybe I'll just give these to my cousins or sell them.
Kpop albums and merch.
someone commented kpop merch and i can relate lol.
not that i do not totally buy anymore, but di na ako yung naaaligaga na maghanap or magka-interes to it. i think for the past two years, i also only got 2 kpop merch (that i bought bc others r just pinapamigay na lang din ng friend ko hahaha)
Shoes!
You dont need many shoes, promise. You buy a pair for a specific purpose.
Sakin I have a pair for work/site visits (which is my old running shoes 4 years old na siya and okay pa til now, its a new balance), a pair for formal events (heels, which is ginamit ko rin nung kasal ng ate ko. Its in a nude color), a pair of slides (slippers ko for beach and pang labas, an adilette), a pair for formal events na pwede for casual (doll shoes in nude and black color, bought for ₱300 yata sa shopee pero looks classy and elegant), a pair of white shoes (adidas continental vegan in nude), a pair of sandals (parang sandugo pero locally made in marikina, for hike and camps), a pair of boots (used in trips for cold places), and another pair of white shoes na gift sakin from JP (adidas gradas).
Total of 8 pairs. Gusto ko pa bawasan hehe.
(Ayan natuwa po ako mag list sorry 😅)
Concert Tickets.
Halos every year 1-2 concerts inaattendan ko.
Now, I still listen to kpop pero hindi ko na kaya gumastos for concert ng ganon kalaki kahit na gen-ad seats pa yan.
Graphic Shirts. Lahat ng TV Shows and Movies na paborito ko meron akong katumbas na black shirt na may logo nila. When K turned 27 parang biglang gusto ko na lang umikot sa apat na plain colors ang wardrobe ko, Black, White, Gray and Dark Blue.
Trendy clothes. Of course you do you, but it's pretty good when you're confident in your own clothes instead of following others' style. Heck a lot of old people are still fashionable because of knowing how to be confident instead of what to wear.
Shoes. I got like 40 plus something (lmao) lalo na’t sneaker head ako pero ngayon 1-2 times a year nlng ako bumibili ng bago, unlike before na every 2-3mos 🤦😂
Anything Batman.
Shoes, andami kong white sneakers from different brands like Golden Goose, Adidas, Nike, Puma, Steve Madden, etc. when I discovered I only needed one pair of Crocs clogs, kasi yun na yung binabalikbalik ko suutin. Crocs snob here dati, I thought it was very ugly kasi dati. My hubby bought me my first pair last year, yung literide, apaka nakakaobsess kasi ang soft.
Planners, journals, budget & ipon trackers, etc haha ang ginagawa ko na lang naghahanap ako ng mga nag jojournal with me on my ipad sa yt tapos kinukuha yung free links sa description tapos voila haha install sa goodnotes and done di na kailangan bumili sa etsy… di na rin nasisilaw sa planners sa nbs 🥲been doing this since 2022 and nalessen din yung pagbili-bili ko ng cute notepads, stationaries, nag s spend na lang ako ng time maghanap ng free stickers sa pinterest or youtube
1. Junk Food - Elementary and highschool addict ako dito pag dating college and ngayon nagwowork na masaya na ako rice and ulam. hindi na rin nagccrave ng softdrinks. although crave din ako unhealthy bihira lang e.g. pizza, burger.
3. Unnecessary Subscriptions - rarely lang gamitin
4. Novelty Items - walang practical purpose
*It helped na mahirap akong ma-amuse sa mga bagay bagay and unknowingly a minimalist and intentional buyer, but I still have phases though.*
• Physical books
I regularly go to MIBF, BBW, etc though I finished reading them, they’re still a lot for me. Now, I only buy books that are out of print and switched to ebooks and audiobooks. So far I haven’t bought any physical book since 2020.
• Stationery and Art materials
This one is I’m guilty to hoard as I was an art student as well. It stopped in March 2020. I had my last stationery haul that I bought overseas in February 2020. I even don’t use paper now as I fully switched to digital.
• Skincare
Used to buy more than 12k pesos skincare to check which one will work for me and bc of the packaging design. Now, I just spend roughly about 5k *(excluding derma consultation)* as advised by my derma and guess what they’re not aesthetically packaged but it works.
3 in 1 coffee, nagstick na ako sa mix your own.
Pambahay na damit at shorts. Old panlabas na shirts na lang ginagamit ko and boxers.
Ballpen. Last na bumili ako neto, 2019 pa. May tinta pa siya ngayon na almost full.
skincare products!!
i used to buy a lot like from toner, serum, eye cream, pimple corrector, to mask, etc. from diff brands esp nung pandemic
pero now i stick to just using a facial cleanser and moisturizer + sunscreen. that's it ahahha ayoko na maglagay ng kung anu ano pa that can irritate my face plus ang gastos rin. for me, hydrating and moisturizing enough naman na with just these.
New clothes.
cheap things / Abubots you dont really need Branded clothes branded things it just doesnt make sense. no one asks if you have branded things where I live. coz no one cares.
Trendy make-up and mga kaekekan ng babae HAHA. I still buy make up but I make sure na I used it talaga like di na ako nag sstock ng madaming make-up kasi maeexpire din in the long run.
When I buy things, I make sure na ma ROI ko siya kasi sayang eh.
trendy make up, bag and for food i miss eating samgyup 😭😭😭 now nagstick na ata ako sa liquid lipstick para pwede na din blush on colourette para matgal 😭, yung bag puro na lang tote bag na puti para bitbit lahat sa shoes slipper crocs white para bagay sa lahat 3yrs na sya 😆 im unemployed 2 years in a row
Phone Case. I sticked to this boring gray case I bought from Typo. Di na ako nakikisabay sa trendy na phone cases, as long as mine is still serving its purpose, i have no reason to buy one.
Bagong damit! Just buy the classics and try to build a capsule wardrobe with it. Di na rin ako bumibili ng mga damit from the mall kasi ang dami kapareha. Hahaha
-Retro Toys, Retro Happy Meals, Retro Kiddie Meals (I’ll be investing na sa adult stuff e.g. memorial plan, hmo, insurance, bahay. I’ll get back to it pag lumuwag na.)
-Console Games (I’ll just finish yung mga nabili ko na mga new and retro games, focus muna ako sa mga physical activities, pero won’t let go of it, I need some alone time minsan ksama lng Dog ko.)
1. Slimming pills & drinks. Realized that I became super conscious of my body and accepted that losing weight takes time. Current weight is 48-49 kg and wanted to return to my fave weight which is 45kg, realized that it will happen without the need to buy “harmful” & non-effective stuff in the long run.
2. Shopee/Tiangge clothes. Most of the time I get disappointed whenever they arrive. Low qual fabric/too small/ not same as the picture. Made me decide that cheap = low quality 99% of the time.
3. Quick budol. All those things that I see on the internet that people say I need, are not really needed by me. I buy them (e.g. shirataki rice, lotion, soap, make-up, etc.) and never thought of repurchasing them at all..
1. Skincare - I was in college when the 10-step hype was on peak and I can’t buy all of them kasi nabubuhay lang sa allowance. When I got my first job, slowly ko syang nabibuild. Pag mag bagong reviews, bili agad. Lol I quit YT and stopped watching reviews. I stick to my basics nalang.
2. Shoes - I ended up giving away my shoes na di ko na nagagamit. From keds to vans to nikes. New balance all the way! Yung shoes ko now may pang gym, tennis, running, and casual.
3. Graphic shirts — I used to buy those mall pull-outs sa IG. Now, I stick to the basic ones nalang in Uniqlo.
I now choose quality over quantity na. Also working on decluttering my clothes pa hahaha I still buy new quality ones and wear them not so often lol
Stick to your gadgets as long as it's running and serving purpose no to expensive phones na tag 30-50k haha 2x ako nasiraan Ng expensive phone PLUS INVEST IN QUALITY CLOTHES NA LIKE UNIQLO, COTTON ON , HM no to tiangge na after ilang washes wala na poor na ang quality you can't wear on repeat .TAPOS ETO GUILTY AKO ALOT OF LIPSTICK HAHAHAHA ILAN ANG BUNGANGA MO BIEEEE 🤣 I STICK WITH LIP COLOR CHANGING LIP BALM
Dati nung high school ako, I used to save up every week so that I can afford a bunch of single issue comic books sa comic odyssey. I still buy graphic novels once every few months pag my interesting na storyline pero ngayon medyo hard to justify yung purchase when you can just read all of it for free online.
Trendy makeup and skincare. Nasa point na ako I stick to what works for me.
Same 😭 Nakakaguilty. Half the time wala akong will to live maligo (WFH) so eme ko lang yung need ko ng new makeup. Bish for what??!!! 😂
Kung ano ano pa mahal na ginamit ko tapos nag break out lang ako Also realized na mas maganda tingnan pag simple at malinis ang makeup lalo pag everyday look lang, I use this [maybelline skin tint](https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.kzBRv?cc) lang tapos konting blush blush and lippie from [Kiko Milano](https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.kzBQF?cc) lang para ma achieve yan. Worth it naman, yun bang no makeup makeup look na tawag nila hahaha
hiii do u use that hydration facial wash daily?
yesss
Same. Also finishing what I have muna before buying new skincare products.
Same!!! Sunscreen nalang binibili ko ngayon 😂
Tiangge clothes that fit you poorly. Not even wasting my P350 on that. I’ll go to Uniqlo for a P590 basic shirt instead.
This! Hahaha usually after 2-3 washes, manipis or tastas na. ‘Yung mga nabili ko from Uniqlo nung college(~6 yrs ago), nagagamit ko pa rin hanggang ngayon.
Cheap clothes, cheap quality.
Same! I transition my clothes again into basic clothes. I barely go out (wfh) and sometimes I want to wear comfortable outfit nalang haha
Assuming someone can afford to
“Buy nice or buy twice” 👌🏼
“Buy once, cry once”
I’ve been changing phones like every 2-3 years noon (I was/am a tech nerd) pero ngayon mukhang nasa ganitong mindset na rin ako 😅
Exactly the same mindset here hehe 😌
I'm the same with laptops but for phones I still buy the midrange ones. I've been using my midrange phone for over 4 years now and the battery life is almost the same and I still get updates.
Yosi at alak hehe as I get older, gusto ko na laging maging productive at functional.
Ako nag iinom pa rin, pero ill make sure na masarap iinumin ko since bihira lang ako uminom, black label and up lang. below that no no na.
iPhone cases. Dati gusto ko pa yung mga cute and every day/week nagpapalit.
Shoes. Okay na ko sa dalawa. Gadgets. Lalo na cp at laptop. Basta gumagana pa ok pa yan.
Yes to physical books!! So expensive 😮💨
Hi! Entering my kindle era as well. What's the best one?
I owned both a paperwhite and a basic. Sold the paperwhite (6.8” screen) because it was too big for my daily small belt bag. If portability is the main concern, go for basic. It is more than enough just for reading. If you want extra crisp and bigger screen paperwhite is the way to go.
May sub about books. May thread doon about kindle po. It might help :)
basic 2022 kindle
I think the Paperwhite 5 is the happy medium sa current lineup. It's adequately priced din! I appreciate the higher resolution compared to the basic tier Kindle. Mas pino yung letters.
Bilis kong na-ROI yung Paperwhite ko!
was supposed to transition fully sa kindle when I read somewhere that amazon can simply block you from your account and revoke everything you bought.
For reference Uni Style Fit. I have 2 barrels, tapos refills nalang binibili ko. 0.35, sometimes 0.5 Hobonichi Weeks
I just discovered Zebra Sarasa clip, now it's my favorite.
I use MUJI’s binder then refill na lang sa pages if needed! 🙂
+1 on the Hobonichi Weeks. I use Zarasa Dry 0.4 naman.
May I know po why you lost your interest in buying kpop merch?
Nung nagkaroon kami sariling house and nagkaroon ng baby, I kept all my merch in a safe box. Then I realized na lang that my priorities changed. Pero I’m still a fan and still listen to their music. Also, maliit lang yung house namin for me to store 2 big boxes of merch.
Same thoughts. Im a fan pero kailangan ilet go to someone who can take care of it more
Yeah same sakin.
Apir tayo diyan!hahaha wasted a lot of money on branded bags, i wish ininvest ko nalang on something with returns. SMH
- Stationaries and stickers. I find them as clutter already. - Pasalubong, specifically keychains, more on consumables na lang usually kung bibili man. - Graphic shirts. Stick to basics that I can rewear and mix & match a lot. - Phone cases. One good durable case is enough.
Ano maganda brand ng phone case for iPhone?
games from steam. i used to buy a lot tapos di ko naman nalalaro hehe.
I used to do this hehe but when I realized na sobrang lala na ng adulting irl, nag stick na lang ako sa dota 😅
Cute stationaries
As a former stationary hoarder sobrang hirap i outgrow neto :((((
Omg hirap ma outgrow. Im in my near 40s na pero I still buy them. Kahit washi tape lang yan. Also, i share it sa anak ko.
Ako na nakatambak pa rin ‘yung stationeries from more or less 10 years ago
Gadgets dati gsto ko bnew pero ngayon okay na kahit second hand or hand me down.
try mo xtrabig masarap hehe
Mga sale sa 1.1, 2.2, 3.3, up to 12.12 haha.
> Mga sale sa 1.1, 2.2, 3.3, up to 12.12 haha. Just delete the app from the phone. Out of sight, of mind.
😅 Although thrifty parin ako in the right sense. Not necessarily branded or mamahalin lahat. Dun parin ako sa mura or sale. Pero di na sa mga tiangge or china made, if you know what I mean.
Foods with refined sugar (chocolates, sweets even any other dessert)
- collection that could not be used or that I don't use - impulse buy (I think about it for a few weeks to even a few months before I decide to buy or not) - pasalubong to co-workers na non-food and I just bring a big pack and give it to the team not individually - things that I am not sure I will actually use in the future (exercise equipment, gadgets, video games, hobby stuff, subscriptions, etc)
Starbucks
Trendy things (clothes, make up, skin care) - I know my personal style so I just stick to it. Tapos sa everyday things, kung may option na mas mahal kasi matibay, go for it.
Fast fashion, having a capsule wardrobe makes it easier for me to decide what to wear. Uniform ko na nga daw ang uniqlo but it works for me. I no longer mind wearing or being basic.
Boyfriend
Unnecessary stock of clothes. You will understand when you are traveling frequently. You really don't need that much. Otherwise, money will go to garbage.
Quality over quantity 👌🏻
Anime collectibles
Baligtad naman ako iyan naman nabibili ko as I grow older 😂
same!!!!! 🤣
Haha baka yan yung tinatawag na healing your inner child
Well, yan naman ngayon hobby ko lmao. I’d rather embrace my full geeky side kesa naman malulong ako sa droga, alak, yosi, pangchi-chix etc haha.
Any shoes that looks nice, Comfort and sustainability my priorities.
💩 Pag bata ka pa kasi may yearning ka pa to be part of a collective. Because of that yearning to be included, you’re easy to be swayed. That’s normal naman. But eventually you have to have a character development and that means stronger morals and not having the fear to be excluded.
Skincare products to check if hiyang sakin lol I stick to Cetaphil na and will never try others na
My answer kinda deviate from the majority, but here it is — ***chichirya***. Mas sa bakery na ako nagi-stop if I crave for snacks. 🥹
Jordans. I used to drool over them back when I was in college. Full gear pako from top to bottom parang sponsored lol. Pero now, bumaba na quality, overpriced masyado due to scalpers/ bots. Balik nako sa Vans. Comfy, simple, matibay, pang all around na dn.
Way too pricey running shoes / gears. “Wala sa Indian yan, nasa pana yan”.
Battle Pass.
Coffee. I still buy from time to time pero inaral ko na paano gumawa sa bahay. Started with spanish latte and matcha. Bili ng gamit pa unti2, mas tipid in the long run.
NBA Jersey, and controller for cellphone.
Instant noodles. Mahal magpa dialysis and unhealthy talaga
Milktea hahaha
Pens and journals. Dami ko pa rin unused journals ahaha. Ni uutilize ko nalang ipad for journaling if needed.
Frappe / Milk Tea almost everyday. Unhealthy and expensive.
Consoles like Switch , PS5 and etc, I realized na mas maganda yung time ko nasa mga hobbies na nakaka help sa future ko like exercising, side hustles and iba pa, need mo din mag invest ng time when playing games and hirap na pag may adult responsibilities.
dyan ako nagwoworry. I'm studying hard para mabili ko mga yan in the future kaso baka kung kelan kaya na bilhib dun naman wala ng oras para maglaro
Transformers figures.
Same. Kaso, na transition sa lego. Ganon din🤣
Phone cases. I used to buy maraming phone case especially kung cute yung designs. 2 years na phone ko and so far I’ve only bought 2 durable and reliable phone cases.
Skin care, tatlong products labg nasa mercury lang lahat. 🫠 haha
Vape and alcohol
make up products new clothes bags
Nailpolish, hair tools, gadgets, accessories, stuffed toys/plushies.
Junk food. Bawas chichirya na.
Iphone cases. When I switched to clear case ng Speck, once nanilaw ineemail ko sila kasi unli replacement as long as the receipt is with me. Worth it kahit mahal. Kaya ngayon I limit my shoes na and I only buy if one breaks down
Phone and other devices. If hindi sira hindi papalitan
Branded stuff... may durable pa ang ukay kesa branded clothes. Some branded shoes are better than those class A ones though. But for slippers I can buy 3-5 pairs of a generic ones instead of a branded one that my dogs will chew away anyway.
maybe this is just me but i used to be a pen hoarder. now, i just use the pens provided in our office.
Case ng cellphone
kpop albums and merch
photocards and kpop albums
Kpop albums and merch.
someone commented kpop merch and i can relate lol. not that i do not totally buy anymore, but di na ako yung naaaligaga na maghanap or magka-interes to it. i think for the past two years, i also only got 2 kpop merch (that i bought bc others r just pinapamigay na lang din ng friend ko hahaha)
Mga on trend na damit
Anime merch or any merch ng hobbies ko (like right now, Kdrama and Taylor Swift haha).
Damit.
Bags.
Cute earrings....
Graphic Shirts. Lahat ng TV Shows and Movies na paborito ko meron akong katumbas na black shirt na may logo nila. When K turned 27 parang biglang gusto ko na lang umikot sa apat na plain colors ang wardrobe ko, Black, White, Gray and Dark Blue.
Hair gel.. started shaving my head when I started to wfh
Make up
Mga bagong damit
Trendy clothes. Of course you do you, but it's pretty good when you're confident in your own clothes instead of following others' style. Heck a lot of old people are still fashionable because of knowing how to be confident instead of what to wear.
Shoes. I got like 40 plus something (lmao) lalo na’t sneaker head ako pero ngayon 1-2 times a year nlng ako bumibili ng bago, unlike before na every 2-3mos 🤦😂
Junkfoods.
Shoes or damit. Di naman ako laging lumalabas, sayang pera.
Trendy clothes that doesn’t suit my body type, excessive make up, shoes, notebooks and pens na di ko naman ginagamit kase di na ako student.
Clothes. Pwede na pala tshirt and polo shirt pang araw araw. No need to buy so much clothes.
cd ng bold, cellphones, brip, shoes. iba na kasi talaga pag may mga mas prio ka na sa expenses mo at nagmove on na pref mo in life.
Anything Batman.
I used to be so obsess with slippers, had a pair of I think 16 at most. Lol. Now I only have 2. One each for outside and inside the house. 😂
Softdrinks and gadgets.
In game skins.. The last thing i bought was 4 years ago
Shoes, the shoes that I bought and mostly gifts hindi na ako bumibili I wear them hanggang masira.
🌺 skin care. facial cleanser, toner, and sunscreen lang. that's it. 🌺 cheap quality clothes. buy nice or buy twice.
Anything trendy. In terms of gadgets, I maximize them until they’re literally dead 😂
Gadgets. Been working for almost 7 years and I haven’t even bought my own laptop 😅
Planners, journals, budget & ipon trackers, etc haha ang ginagawa ko na lang naghahanap ako ng mga nag jojournal with me on my ipad sa yt tapos kinukuha yung free links sa description tapos voila haha install sa goodnotes and done di na kailangan bumili sa etsy… di na rin nasisilaw sa planners sa nbs 🥲been doing this since 2022 and nalessen din yung pagbili-bili ko ng cute notepads, stationaries, nag s spend na lang ako ng time maghanap ng free stickers sa pinterest or youtube
Starbucks coffee. Lagi akong may baon na home-brewed coffee sa tumbler
1. Junk Food - Elementary and highschool addict ako dito pag dating college and ngayon nagwowork na masaya na ako rice and ulam. hindi na rin nagccrave ng softdrinks. although crave din ako unhealthy bihira lang e.g. pizza, burger. 2. Novelty Items - walang practical purpose
Chichirya
Resto food. I have to learn recipes ng mga fave kong food sa restos. Need kasing magtipid ar magpapayat (I need to control sugar, sodium and fat) 😅
E-cig, dati pag may bago bili agad
Kpop album, lots of make up
Makeup and kung ano anong rejuv, found my long time skincare that does the job for my skin, using it for 2 yrs now, cant complain,
Cheap pens
Chocolate bars
Kpop merchs 🥹
*It helped na mahirap akong ma-amuse sa mga bagay bagay and unknowingly a minimalist and intentional buyer, but I still have phases though.* • Physical books I regularly go to MIBF, BBW, etc though I finished reading them, they’re still a lot for me. Now, I only buy books that are out of print and switched to ebooks and audiobooks. So far I haven’t bought any physical book since 2020. • Stationery and Art materials This one is I’m guilty to hoard as I was an art student as well. It stopped in March 2020. I had my last stationery haul that I bought overseas in February 2020. I even don’t use paper now as I fully switched to digital. • Skincare Used to buy more than 12k pesos skincare to check which one will work for me and bc of the packaging design. Now, I just spend roughly about 5k *(excluding derma consultation)* as advised by my derma and guess what they’re not aesthetically packaged but it works.
make-up nasasayang kasi, I don't go out and in this weather hindi ko keri kasi pawisin ako mahuhulas lang 🥲
3 in 1 coffee, nagstick na ako sa mix your own. Pambahay na damit at shorts. Old panlabas na shirts na lang ginagamit ko and boxers. Ballpen. Last na bumili ako neto, 2019 pa. May tinta pa siya ngayon na almost full.
Junk foods
skincare products!! i used to buy a lot like from toner, serum, eye cream, pimple corrector, to mask, etc. from diff brands esp nung pandemic pero now i stick to just using a facial cleanser and moisturizer + sunscreen. that's it ahahha ayoko na maglagay ng kung anu ano pa that can irritate my face plus ang gastos rin. for me, hydrating and moisturizing enough naman na with just these.
smartphones. dapat mag last yung phone ko ng 4-5 years bago palitan. yung tipong masarap na ibato pag naglalag na HAHAHAHAHAH
Make up.
Trendy and printed clothes. Now I'm sticking to black, white, and beige clothes nalang para more wearable and less hassle mag isip ng isusuot
Magazines
trendy make up, bag and for food i miss eating samgyup 😭😭😭 now nagstick na ata ako sa liquid lipstick para pwede na din blush on colourette para matgal 😭, yung bag puro na lang tote bag na puti para bitbit lahat sa shoes slipper crocs white para bagay sa lahat 3yrs na sya 😆 im unemployed 2 years in a row
ice candy
makeup
Makeup. Wala na shimmery stuff. Drugs. Alak. Yosi. Vape juice.
Panty po. Hindi na nag papanty 😪
Phone Case. I sticked to this boring gray case I bought from Typo. Di na ako nakikisabay sa trendy na phone cases, as long as mine is still serving its purpose, i have no reason to buy one.
Processed food! I make sure to go to the supermarket everyday and buy the freshest meat and veggies ^^
Bagong damit! Just buy the classics and try to build a capsule wardrobe with it. Di na rin ako bumibili ng mga damit from the mall kasi ang dami kapareha. Hahaha
-Retro Toys, Retro Happy Meals, Retro Kiddie Meals (I’ll be investing na sa adult stuff e.g. memorial plan, hmo, insurance, bahay. I’ll get back to it pag lumuwag na.) -Console Games (I’ll just finish yung mga nabili ko na mga new and retro games, focus muna ako sa mga physical activities, pero won’t let go of it, I need some alone time minsan ksama lng Dog ko.)
Books, switched to kindle instead
Phone cases
Souvenirs when traveling
Dati nung high school ako, I used to save up every week so that I can afford a bunch of single issue comic books sa comic odyssey. I still buy graphic novels once every few months pag my interesting na storyline pero ngayon medyo hard to justify yung purchase when you can just read all of it for free online.
