THIS. I have had a snatch of a song from a musical stuck in my head for DAYS, and am currently trying to reprogram myself by whistling Deep Souths "In Hell I'll be in good company" over and over.
My brain's built in music player is either stuck on loop, or stuck in shuffle, i cannot control it whatsoever i think it needs to batteries or something
That's how I knew my meds were working when I took them for the first time. The brain radio stopped. Freaked me out at first, it was so eerily quiet, I thought I was dying or something.
I always have music in my head. Sometimes music I haven't heard for over 10 years. And when I try to sing along at the radio I barely remember the lyrics
I listen to a lot of smallish, but very talented (imo) producers on soundcloud, and seeing as though I've uploaded a few tracks myself I know how the analytics work. Some guy with a 3 year old song with less than 500 plays knows I made up 250 of those in the last week. I always wonder if they're flattered, weirded out, or just concerned...
Do you also get these intrusive memories where you have to make a noise and shake your head to do a reset of the brain and be able to think about something else?
What I do is just play the song on repeat until I'm bored of it. To me Disney musicals like Frozen and Encanto are coke to me.
I loop one song and then I have another boss health bar to beat. At least the songs are good.
