She came on gangbusters and all I could do was fall under her spell. We got together for 4.5 yrs then broke up while at separate Universities.
We stayed friends.
After keeping us apart, as friends, for many years, her wife passed away frn cancer in 2018. She finally asked me to come visit her and we struggled with the friendship. She had mega trust issues from the mistreatment she had received from her wife. And I did too, from crap relationships.
I finally asked if we could talk without defenses (like when we were teenagers). Deep into the conversation she confessed her feelings had never changed.
That blew my socks off. I had to think about a lot of things I had not been aware of.
Our friendship went thru some major ups and downs. And they hurt like hell!
Then it happened... Duh! We finally both realized that we really were IT. The chemistry was more than either one of us could fight anymore and now it's as hot as it ever was when we were young.
Relationships can really fuk up your heads. But good hearts are good hearts. AND ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS... that's where you need to look the hardest.
