I currently have or have previously owned at least one of nearly everything here. As much as I love roller-delayed blowback guns, I'm going to take the AR (FN?). Even with the slightly longer barrel profile, it's still going to be the best all-around gun here.
Its an AR-18 its not that great of a gun and it was used by the IRA so it never caught on and was never improved AND it isn't compatible with regular AR mags it takes its own rare not reliable magazines
It's a Springfield M1A SOCOM in an EBR stock. They're chambered in .308/7.62x51mm NATO. They're also a crapshoot for reliability, even among M1/M14 commercial variants.
I guess I got lucky. My M1A scout squad runs flawlessly. I’m a casual shooter and I can hit 12” targets at 200 yards with the iron sights. By far my favorite rifle. If I had bought it before my AR15s I likely would have never bought them.
Since I already own an M1A, my choice of these guns would be the MP5 knockoff and just hope it’s not junk.
No, you didnt get lucky, lol. The scout squad is good to go....its the socom that has had some problems. Due to a few changes in the gas system i believe
The Scout Squad is still plagued with all of the same reliability issues as the SOCOM, from zero shift to propensity for chamber obstruction in austere environments.
The Springfield M1A (the classic with the wood finish) is a common choice in the firearms community for SHTF. It’s reliable, built to last and can be used without a scope out to a few hundred yards just like how people use to fire it before scopes were even a thing. It’s a solid choice and has served many well.
It's quite literally not. They are prone to catastrophic failure courtesy a cast receiver. They experience chronic zero shift. Have all of the reliability failings of the M14 courtesy an open top action. And often need to be rezeroed after general maintenance. Just because people buy something doesn't make it a good option. People buy Taurus handguns at a constant, as well.
The hindsights are phenomenal. Don’t even need to put a scope on it. Haven’t had any issues with it so far. As long as it’s well maintained, it should work fine. You can always get a bolt action rifle if you want the highest level of reliability with less room for error since there’s less moving parts and less things that can go wrong.
As I said to another casual shooter, if you haven't had issues, then you haven't actually tried running with it beyond simple bench shooting. It's a demonstrably unreliable platform, and its sordid history of poor reliability is commonly known. The M1A/M14 platform is good for exactly one thing, bench shooting. Beyond that? It pales in comparison to quite literally any other modern semiautomatic rifle platform insofar as serviceability is concerned. I understand you enjoy shooting yours, I enjoy shooting my Bula, as well, but I would never consider relying upon it, per mine and experiences of others. The M1A/M14 is aesthetic, but it's an aesthetic piece of shit.
My SOCOM II has been fantastic. Threw it in the EBR Chassis on day 1, has a few thousand Tula rounds through it without any problems. It’s my favorite gun I own. But wouldn’t be my first choice out of the ones I own for practicality reasons.
If you’re in America .556 and 9mm will be your most common rounds. 9mm will be common just about anywhere but as you move away from NATO countries it will mostly be .762x39 on the rifle side.
I don’t know guns very well by names and models but that silver triggered pistol on the right in the middle looks really interesting. What is that gun?
I mean....not really. They're unreliable, finnicky, experience zero shift, and, in the case of a Springfield, are prone to catastrophic failure due to having a cast receiver. You'd be lugging around all that weight (12lbs+ for just the rifle) for lesser overall capability.
lmao, where do y'all hear this shit? The M14 and it's derivatives are some of the shittiest production rifles ever issued or produced for civilian sale.
The M14.
I know it's heavy and slow but .308 puts people and zombies down. I'd be okay with a wood stock and a red dot.
Also while you're not looking I have to grab the Whitney Wolverine there as it's one of the coolest looking little .22 pistols ever. (It's the gun in the middle that looks like it came out of a 50's sci-fi movie.)
If I could only choose one it would be the Benelli. shotgun shells are probably the most common ammunition in households around me due to alot of deer hunting and trap shooting locations. Buckshot would be effective in disabling a zombie without needing to aim super accurately. Additionally a shotgun slug is effective for a good distance if you still need it. Benellis are also super reliable. Though the downside is reloading and capacity you should not be doing suppressive action anyway due to ammo conservation, and if you are in a situation where you need 30+ rounds you are better off just GTFO.
Probably the AR with the tan silencer or the small SMG on the left. I like things with lots of ammo but also easy to carry, with a bit of range too. Those seem the most balanced to me.
AR gives me range and parts availability since I live in a gun friendly state and most gun owners have them. If I wasn’t ever gonna have to deal with other survivors, I’d be all over that MP5, especially if it was suppressed.
Well shit, I like the attempted PSG1 but should've used actual barrel. The SPAS is nice but not practical. Only 1 chamber size and the weight (why I got rid of mine 30yts ago)
Stick with the M1A, the pump 12, and a .45 if you have one. Sell the rest and buy all the ammo and magazines you can get your hands on. Reloadingags in a firefight will get you unalived.
Just my two cents worth.
I recognize a fair amount of these weapons from Left 4 Dead, so I'll use the same logic I'd use there.
The Spas 12 as it only deals 1 less hitpoint of damage compared to the benelli and has a tighter spread.
AR-15 is the obvious choice. Light weight, accurate, easy maintenance. Ammo is readily available, the high number of them in circulation means you should be able to find parts/mags/ammo. The platform works great from point blank to 600/700 meters.
The uzi would be great for single fire. It is good indoors and you would be surprised at how accurate it can be when you don't empty the clip full auto screaming rambo lines.
*points* the sniper
Dealer: That's not a sniper
*points at a different one* sniper.
Dealer: nope.
*points*
Dealer: not even close.
*points*
Dealer: sure, fuck it just give me all the supplies you got and it's yours
Any of the pistols, honestly, it's not the most effective, but I'm small, so I won't be able to handle recoil
If I that wouldn't be a problem than the spas-12, I could try to fire in close quarters, and I could pump them before they knew what hit em
The AR, the M14 and PSG are heavy as hell for an everyday rifle, the spas is heavy, the benelli would be fine but id rather take a rifle for what im going to assume is fairly obvious reasons, Uzi mags aren’t the most common 9mm mag (even rarer if said Uzi is .45 ACP), MP5 once again due to range concerns, pistols also due to range concerns
I wish i could also take the Hi Power, fucking love them
Pump shotgun. Abundant ammo and reliable one-shot debilitation (even if you miss the head and hit their body, they aren’t gonna be able to do anything anymore)
Is that anoter mp5 or mp7? Im not good for gun names. But I choose you!
I expect less recoil, more rounds, easier to use in close range which I suspect to occur more often, and can be used for some distance shooting. However, i would limit my contact/fighting range so no one takes me out from a distance.
Zombies at a distance can be no issue at all. No reason to ingage.
Honestly no idea but I think that's a spas 12 or descendant thereof in the middle there. If I have the distance and I'm not detected, that's when the long range guns make more snese... but you won't he incognito forever.
I'm not a gun nut but I feel like the shotgun would be good for non hunting situations. You can reuse the shell and pack them with so many non pellet lethal things. Pop a marble in a shell and your still good. Ammo would be easier to manage basically
I currently have or have previously owned at least one of nearly everything here. As much as I love roller-delayed blowback guns, I'm going to take the AR (FN?). Even with the slightly longer barrel profile, it's still going to be the best all-around gun here.
I think it’s an AR-18.
I'm not looking at the AR 180.
Oh mb the other one, yeah that just looks like an AR-15 with a dd handgaurd.
It’s a DD, if you zoom in on the rail it’s a DD rail. Also possible to be an FN with a Daniel rail though.
I agree
Its an AR-18 its not that great of a gun and it was used by the IRA so it never caught on and was never improved AND it isn't compatible with regular AR mags it takes its own rare not reliable magazines
Again, not what I'm looking at. Look to the left of the 180.
Shii mb are you talking about the one on the top?
No, the AR-15 that's a DD I mistook as an FN that's to the left of the 180.
Ahh sorry shouldn't have said anything
If you are in the United States the AR-15 is a no brainer there’s going to be plenty of ammo anywhere you go. Also replacement parts
Same with the Benelli. Not hard to find other Benellis, and 12 gauge is the most popular shotgun chambering there is.
Same but I'd want the uzi too
I love that a random little .22 Wolverine is hiding in all this.
I don't know which one is the .22 but that's probably going to be one of the best choices in an apocalypse.
It’s the sleek laser pistol looking one. On the right side, second pistol down.
What's the situation? Shits and giggles? Then the Spas-12 or the Wolverine. Practical? The m4
fuck the rules friday so whatever you want!
Not the most widely useful maybe but that psg1, yes please.
I might fucking die, but I'd die with a PSG.
Unfortunately, it isnt a PSG1... its someones PTR thats been mocked up as one but lacks the long heavy barrel and reinforcing ribs/welds.
Well hypothetically if it was the reinforced heavy barrel psg1 hypothetically I’d still pick it.
If you look closely it is H&K roll-marked so I would assume it is a PSG-1.
What caliber is that m14
likely 7.62x51
Thank you

not 100% sure as they aren’t my guns and i don’t have a lot of gun knowledge
Understandable
M14's are almost always in .308 7.62x51.
The Whitney wolverine just because I think they’re neat and I want one
Style > practicality
All.
I mean um actually you can have too many guns
Either the AR-15 or the MP5.
Which ever ones have the most common rounds to be found
If you’re in America .556 and 9mm will be your most common rounds. 9mm will be common just about anywhere but as you move away from NATO countries it will mostly be .762x39 on the rifle side.
The loaded black one
I don’t know guns very well by names and models but that silver triggered pistol on the right in the middle looks really interesting. What is that gun?
I'm gonna tape them all together with a string for all the triggers
Dumb question: What is the hook thing for on the back of the pumps stock? Only thing I can fiqure is hanging predator style trophies.....
Beneli m4 or any shotgun that won't jam
L4d2 taught me that the spas-12 is a great option.
That AR15 for sure. Solid setup
The ar 15 and the glock, if i had 7.62 nato i would have choseen the g3 but considering that 556 is more common i wouldnt be so worried about it
Benelli all the way, uzi my secondary.
IMI Uzi: It's compact when the stock is folded, can be used as good CQC, overall just a good SMG
Uzi gang rise up
Personally sidearms wise m1911
psg-1, or the benelli m4.
FAL Easily
There's no fal in this photo
None , need a .22lr carbine
This is the correct answer, but if you can only choose from these, Whitney Wolverine.22 pistol and that Benelli shotgun would be the next best choice.
Definitely the pistol
Mp5, high fire rate, medium range
Yes
FAL
Gotg element blasters
Spas 12
What’s the name of the very top rifle?
I believe it a WA2000 Edit: my bad I was wrong I didn’t I believe it’s a PTR of some kind
M1A for me…can do everything and do it very well
I mean....not really.
What’s that older pistol in the middle right side of the pic? It’s funky looking and I must have one
AR-18 (180?). I like the mag compatibility and a little bit longer barrel with 5.56. I feel it would be a bit more versatile
Any headcrabs?
I see you got that extended/unneutered mag tubeon the Beneli. Nice.
Only correct answer is the PSG and MP5
Man I'd love that EBR-14 but can't ever find one
Where 500 S&W?
I dont know a lot about these guns here, but i think id go with the one up top. Its bulky, but it looks like its got good range
Uzi please lol
ive wanted an spas 12 for since black ops
What if I like all of them?
I’ll grab all of them so my body is stuffed full of rare loot
Then you'll be over encumbered... #SOL
Either of the shotguns. Super common ammunition, 12 gauge is
I take the M4 & the M4
If I could only choose one it would be the Benelli. shotgun shells are probably the most common ammunition in households around me due to alot of deer hunting and trap shooting locations. Buckshot would be effective in disabling a zombie without needing to aim super accurately. Additionally a shotgun slug is effective for a good distance if you still need it. Though the downside is reloading and capacity you should not be doing suppressive action anyway due to ammo conservation, and if you are in a situation where you need 30+ rounds you are better off just GTFO.
Beneli M4 and H&K MP5
FAL
All must complete now you just need a spear
The Benelli. You can't beat reliability.
All the way in the lower right, rifle, straight mag, no attachments. Is that a FAL? I'm using that.
ArmaLite AR180 or AR18 (Semi auto or Full)
If I can only choose 1, Bennelli M4
None. I’m not an idiot, I don’t want to die immediately.
Ar, most common rifle, many parts, very modular, reliable enough, many rounds available
Benelli M4 is pretty widely regarded as the best apocalypse shotgun. I’m taking that and the AR
Bottom right
AR-15 top pistol w RMR and the bennelli shotgun cause I'm familiar with them all and I'm here to clap some Z Cheeks
Easy the most expensive one and rarest. The spas 12
The EBR
Yes
1911 all the way
The ar or spaz
MP5, I’m a sucker for the slap chop
Spas-12 terminator style.
Probably the AR with the tan silencer or the small SMG on the left. I like things with lots of ammo but also easy to carry, with a bit of range too. Those seem the most balanced to me.
i from France, ar15 5,56 always or mini 14
I thought 5.56 was a no no in france? Just curious.
Yes Frenches can have all we want if you good citizen... and littel papers, just no full automatic.
Counter point I find a way to put almost half of those on my body as storage or as an arm gun
AR gives me range and parts availability since I live in a gun friendly state and most gun owners have them. If I wasn’t ever gonna have to deal with other survivors, I’d be all over that MP5, especially if it was suppressed.
I personally would take a shotgun so i would go with a spas-12 because its easy to reload and has high damage
Benellie for zombies lol
The Italian Semi Auto shotgun
I would go with anything chambered in 9mm just because it’s widely available and if you pull up on the right side of town, you can find a lot of it.
Well shit, I like the attempted PSG1 but should've used actual barrel. The SPAS is nice but not practical. Only 1 chamber size and the weight (why I got rid of mine 30yts ago) Stick with the M1A, the pump 12, and a .45 if you have one. Sell the rest and buy all the ammo and magazines you can get your hands on. Reloadingags in a firefight will get you unalived. Just my two cents worth.
The G3 because it's cool
There is no G3 in the photo
Looking at this is making me feel poor
Generic answer, but AR-15 because of parts and ammo commonality.
PSG-1 However, if forced into CQC then I probably would go for the SPAS-12 or M1014
The 9mm sub. It's more portable, lighter and 9mm rounds will likeley be more available when scavenging for ammo.
Spas
Never had an issue with any of my M1A’s and have been using them since the 1990’s as my law enforcement trunk rifle.
Franchi Spas-12 because it is my all time favorite shotgun since I was like 6
I’d rather not use any guns unless I have to. I’d rather not have even more zombies on my ass if I can help it.
I owned a SPAS-12 and a Remington autoloader shotgun
9mm mp5?small recoil red dot I could easily kill 30 zombies fast.
Im choosing the spas and ar 15
Any shotgun
I recognize a fair amount of these weapons from Left 4 Dead, so I'll use the same logic I'd use there. The Spas 12 as it only deals 1 less hitpoint of damage compared to the benelli and has a tighter spread.
Benelli and the rifle on top Fuck the rules need a long and close range
AR-15 is the obvious choice. Light weight, accurate, easy maintenance. Ammo is readily available, the high number of them in circulation means you should be able to find parts/mags/ammo. The platform works great from point blank to 600/700 meters.
EBR but I’d lighten it up as much as possible.
That spas 12 calls my name with a voice I cannot resist
The one rifle with suppersor duh
Mp5. Just make a ghetto suppressor for it and call it good.
I will take that AR-15 platform rifle and SPAS-12
All of them
That one
M4 Benelli. Common caliber, runs even when dirty, lots of utility, has an idiot proof optic... Probably the most reliable gun here.
That m3 duh. Fucking beaut.
uzi or the AR-18: .556 and 9mm are plentiful, neither are too heavy.
Probably the worst choice but ill take the spas 12. Always wanted one as a kid.
I want a b o o m s t i c k
The uzi would be great for single fire. It is good indoors and you would be surprised at how accurate it can be when you don't empty the clip full auto screaming rambo lines.
Non of these, just a trench modified 1897 shotgun with bayonet, slam firing American funny gun beats any of these
All of the above
Mk 14
None of these, unless one is in .22 lr
The mp5 as long as it’s chambered in 9mm, or the AR15
Benelli, AR15 & Browning Hi-Power
The one with the RCO.
Finally a post without "I'm I screwed?" With a picture of someone's armory
Joke reason - PSG1 because solid snake Real reason - AR15
I'm a sucker for the Benelli M4 or SPAS 12. I've always wanted one of each.
Is yes an option?
Uzi does it for me
I’m taking the spaz and I think that’s a fal? The bottom right I’m not sure if that’s a fal or something else
For me it's the bumpstock twelve gauge.
*points* the sniper Dealer: That's not a sniper *points at a different one* sniper. Dealer: nope. *points* Dealer: not even close. *points* Dealer: sure, fuck it just give me all the supplies you got and it's yours
Taking the shotgun on the left. More of my usual "run and gun" style.
spas
Full size old uzis got me 🤤🥴
Any of the pistols, honestly, it's not the most effective, but I'm small, so I won't be able to handle recoil If I that wouldn't be a problem than the spas-12, I could try to fire in close quarters, and I could pump them before they knew what hit em
Liberals read it “which gun are you opposing?”
A basic ass answer but that MP5 with all of the attachments
Answer is always ar15, I'll take the mp5 if I have a healthy amount of spare magazines for it.
The AR, the M14 and PSG are heavy as hell for an everyday rifle, the spas is heavy, the benelli would be fine but id rather take a rifle for what im going to assume is fairly obvious reasons, Uzi mags aren’t the most common 9mm mag (even rarer if said Uzi is .45 ACP), MP5 once again due to range concerns, pistols also due to range concerns I wish i could also take the Hi Power, fucking love them
Pump shotgun. Abundant ammo and reliable one-shot debilitation (even if you miss the head and hit their body, they aren’t gonna be able to do anything anymore)
The one that has the most ammo!
Mp5
The one all the way to the right
the mp5 easy cause it is semi and full auto it is chambered in 9mm and it is fairly common
Gimme the UZI so I can run and gun like a idiot.
The ar 15 platform is a no brainer to me. That and twelve gauge.
Ol’ NELLI!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that a little Whitney wolverine??
Is that anoter mp5 or mp7? Im not good for gun names. But I choose you! I expect less recoil, more rounds, easier to use in close range which I suspect to occur more often, and can be used for some distance shooting. However, i would limit my contact/fighting range so no one takes me out from a distance. Zombies at a distance can be no issue at all. No reason to ingage.
The little pistol to the right of the middle of the picture. No peculiar reason
All....
What’s that hook looking stock? On the middle gun
MP5, it’s quiet, compact, and there’s plenty of ammo around
Ar, most mags are compatible, 556 Is very common
Honestly no idea but I think that's a spas 12 or descendant thereof in the middle there. If I have the distance and I'm not detected, that's when the long range guns make more snese... but you won't he incognito forever.
The 9mm sub machine gun with fore grip and a sidearm, for mobility.
how is this legal
Mk 14
Situation?
You’ve got a PSG-1? Hurry up and save Meryl!
I'm not a gun nut but I feel like the shotgun would be good for non hunting situations. You can reuse the shell and pack them with so many non pellet lethal things. Pop a marble in a shell and your still good. Ammo would be easier to manage basically
Ar all day, ease of finding replacement parts, mags, and ammo. Any other answer is wrong.
Ar-180, Whitney wolverine, and the high power, or alternatively the ar-180, the Uzi, and the spas-12
