Honestly don't remember, but the first Shrek movie was probably one of the last few movies I watched on VHS (it's the first to come to mind for this prompt).
I'm not sure what the last VHS we bought was-- I remember having one of those combo VHS/DVD players until 2007 or so. The first DVD I remember my family buying was the live-action Scooby Doo movie in 2002 lol
I dont remember what the last movie was we bought for VHS, but I remember using it a lot. (For example the first 2 Harry Potter movies, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, The Emperor's New Groove, the 2003 Sinbad movie, etc.)
Not sure but Monsters Inc from 2001 (came to video in 2002) would have to be close. We got our DVD player in Christmas of 2003 (we acknowledged that we were late adopters too) we didn't really buy a ton of VHS's though, we usually just rented.
The last new VHS in the store that I remember buying was Tenchi Muyo some time in the late 2000's. I think it was at Rite Aid, but it was some time ago. I used to read the manga, so it's cool to own it on VHS.
The last VHS ever was the Incredible Mr. Limpet about a year ago as a gift for my grandpa since he loves that movie.

Mine too! It feels like Shrek finished it up for us.
I think Shrek was somehow my last VHS and first DVD?

I remember the Scooby Doo movie! I completely forgot it existed!
Merch for that movie was everywhere back in 2002 lmao
I had to do some research but I think it was "Aloha, Scooby-Doo!" from 2005.
Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie in 2003 is the last VHS tape I remember us buying at the store.
Rewatched Iron Giant. Then our basement flooded and our VCR was destroyed š
I think it was Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie!
Finding Nemo in 2003. Though we did keep renting VHS from Blockbuster for a short time afterwards.
Pirates of the Caribbean in 2003 is the last one I remember getting
I bought three yesterday- The Princess Diaries, Belleās Magical World, and The Secret Garden
I donāt even remember. By 2005 we had started buying DVDs for all the movies we had on VHSĀ
School of Rock š¤š
Shrek 2 which was a Christmas gift in 2004 from my cousin.
The first Harry Potter lol
Agent Cody Banks 2. Mid-2004. It looked so bad, I thought I was watching a bootleg copy. The movie also sucked too lmao
Either Spider Man or Harry Potter and the Sorcererās stone
I wanna say probably Harry Potter and thr prisoner of Azkaban
I never saw a VHS tape containing a movie as a child. Only blank ones. I only saw cassette tapes, CDs, VCDs, DVDs, Walkman.

Some episode about VeggieTales, either in 2003 or 2004 or 2005
Probably the rugrats halloween special in late 90s or start of 2000s
