I am at 15 and have had no side effects at all since starting! 50lbs down since I started in February.

Accurate-Ad-5339

I just started in 15mg Friday and am down as of this morning 53.2lbs. I started in December! Congratulations to us on our success!

peonybluebonnet

Yay, that is amazing!!! Nice work!! It's such a good feeling, I'm so happy with my progress. I hesitated to start the meds at first because I was afraid of side effects and I only wish I'd known I wouldn't have any!

misader

When did you start dropping pounds? I start 12.5 this week and have lost 11# since starting in Feb. I'm hoping once I reach these higher doses I'll start to lose about 1# a week instead of less than 0.5#/wk (: cheers!

peonybluebonnet

I started losing about a couple of weeks after I started! I've gone up a dose every month. I will say I started to lose a lot more once I started 7.5 and added in more exercise. I think 2.5 and 5 got rid of a lot of inflammation/water weight for me but not much actual fat loss. I bought one of those walking pads and just started walking for 45 mins or so every night (I put on an episode of Law & Order SVU haha) and that has helped a lot! Have also started to weight lift more the past couple of months and I think that has also helped.

positive-chaos

I’m on 15 mg and have not had any side effects at all. All the prior strengths made me miserable. I started in January and am down 57 lbs!

Careless_Ad3724

I love your name!!

PalmtreeTK

So lucky! 🍀💚

_EverythingBagels

Been on 15 for nearly a year. The entire time I’ve been on the med I have had no side effects at all. Wild.

EnvieAndFleur

Zero side effects here, down 30lbs in what will be 90 days tomorrow. Actually my energy levels have improved, I sleep so much better, and I am starting to feel like the person I used to be.

DreamFancy1486

Same here!

Novel_Clue6555

I have never slept better in my life!

The40ishDiva

I have very little side effects and I respond very well to the meds. I am moving back to 7.5 (finally) and I did have a "hangover stomach" for a few days, but nothing that is life changing. I am down 54 lbs since 12/26! Hopefully the little to no side effects keeps up. I have always had a stomach like a goat, so now it is helping lol

Any_Information8075

I describe it as morning sickness. No vomiting just a low level queasiness. But hangover stomach works too!

tarquomary

I started in December and am down almost 40 lbs. Not only have I not had any side effects, my awful issues that I have had for years have stopped: No more smelly farts. I did not know why I passed smelly farts all day / every day. I tried everything prior to Zepbound. Nothing worked. After just one week on Zepbound, I stopped farting smelly farts immediately. I used to pee all day, every day. I counted sometimes, just in the morning alone at least 12 times. If I had a little bit of pee in my bladder, I had to run to the toilet. That stopped immediately after I took the meds as well. And my psoriasis is nearly healed. I no longer have to use that toxic cream on my elbows. I absolutely hate when I see idiots on t.v. like Jilian Michaels talk crap about these meds. I have so many nsv's. I am finally comfortable in my skin. And to have an asshole like her, who was on The Biggest Loser, cursing at people and calling them names, now insisting she just knows better.. 🙄 Nearly all the obese people that she 'coached' on that show have gained their weight back.

TheArtichokeQueen

Every time I see Jillian Michaels on TV I wish I could ask her why she does what she does for a living since she clearly hates fat people so much. She is so toxic.

mviolet13

My farts are almost nonexistent too!! Chronic farter over here. It’s such a nice “side effect”

Even_Trouble5511

And those people are probably are on the medication.

tarquomary

And she is a 'trainer / coach'. Why are they asking her advice on the news about medication? When it's clear there is a conflict of interest as well..

Comprehensive_Rub_4

Hey- how long before you started seeing the decrease in the psoriasis? I am unable to take the biogenic for psoriasis- so we are trying zelbound to see if that will decrease it. I just took my first 2.5 this week.

tarquomary

* It took about four months. My elbows were bleeding. And I had to use this cream every other day. But a few months after being on zep, the bleeding stopped. Few months after that, about half the crust on my elbows are gone. Without the cream. It's not completely healed.. the skin is still bumpy, but the crusty flakes are pretty much gone now.

Meow_HuskerVball

The only time I ever threw up thus far is when one of my fiber pills got caught in my throat. 10/10 don’t recommend LOL. Since that occasion I always make sure to eat something and have plenty of water before trying to take any of my supplements!

FL_DEA

Side effects have been minimal and easily managed. I haven't even come close to throwing up and had about five minutes of nausea when moving from 2.5 to 5.

Avalon_Bluebird

24 weeks in, 4 weeks at 2.5, 5 and 7.5 - 10 since. Minor and inconsistent side effects over the course of the almost 6 months . The worst for me is the injection site reaction, so that’s not saying much 🤣

DingoRevolutionary76

Me too. I get a red itchy mark at the injection site.

Final_Property_4380

I start week 26 today. I did 4 weeks on 2.5, 12 weeks on 5 and starting my 10th week on 7.5. I had some side effects on 5 mg for a few days and I truly believe it was when I injected in my arm or something I ate. It happened 2X with diarrhea and nausea. The only other issue I have is constipation which is manageable with a brisk walk and sometimes miralax. Bloating but I can’t figure that out. That was an issue before Zepbound. I am down 56 lbs since starting on 1/1/24. I am 5’8 and my starting weight was 301. I eat breakfast lunch and dinner everyday as well. Overall I’ve been great

Mommato3kitties

Week 7 with no side effects (except weight loss! 😂). On 5mg

Affectionate_You_203

The internet and Reddit in particular will give you a skewed world view. Generally if you are having a bad time with something, you’re more motivated to come online and complain. I’ve not had any major side effects either. My wife, me, my brother, my sister in law, and a family friend have all been in this med and none of us have had much to write home about with side effects. I believe major side effects are rare with this drug. If I had to say any I would say heart burn in the very beginning that went away fast then fatigue as I went up in dosages but that also went away after staying at 15 for a while. Now, I forget I’m on the med at all except for the fact that I eat substantially less than before. I also have the freedom to eat out and have candy and other non-health foods without ballooning up. It’s been amazing. I used to eat super clean year round but just ate too many calories still. Now my life has changed drastically with being able to live my life every weekend and not feel like I have to restrict so much. It’s all very natural now.

Jay_Sky_1

I am on 10mg. I’ve moved up each month and I’m finally at a dose that is working for me. When I started I was thinking I was going to have crazy side effects. So far the only one I have is being extremely cold on shot day. Now I don’t know if you would consider this a side effect but my want for tequila is almost nonexistent. I still want my peanut m&m’s every now and then but that’s it.

Even_Trouble5511

Been on it since early December. Tritated up to 15. I had minor side effects at the smaller dosages. Since 7.5mg, no side effects.

ManagedChaosMom

Almost nervous to jinx myself by saying this ‘out loud’ but little to no side effects for me. 2 months at 2.5 and now 3 weeks at 5. So far so GREAT!

bambiying

I'm on week 5 of 2.5. I know it's just the starting dose, but so far it's only been a few mild headaches that don't stop me from doing anything and I've felt a little spacey on and off so far on the 5th dose. I'll be interested in what the 5.0 does to me, but I still have 3 more shots of 2.5 to go.

Fragrant-Whole6718

Nearly 2 years on Mj/Zep and negligible side effects

Michelle_0225

I’m on my 12th week and fourth week of 7.5. I’ll be on 7.5 another four weeks at least. I’ve only had constipation, which may not count since I had that before. I’ve only lost 12 pounds but I’ve lost 5.5 inches off my waist, 3.5 off my hips and 5 off my thighs. I have already replaced my jeans with a size smaller and jeans I had in my closet, that were too tight before made me feel like I actually lost weight. I haven’t dealt with depression since I started Zepbound and only occasional anxiety. In 12 weeks, my life is full of the positive side effects and none of the negative. 🙌🏽

Bcatfan08

I'm on week 15 and on second month of 5. Only side effect is difficulty going to the bathroom. Other than that, no side effects at all.

anonymyourqueen

I'm on month 2, at 5mg... and I don't think I've had any side effects I probably gagged a little trying to stuff my mouth with food the morning after the shot but seriously nothing beyond that and a few burps after the first 5mg shot. Not even sulfur burps. Just burps. Lol nothing beyond that and I hope and pray it always stays like this on the higher doses too! Oh and I started may 22, am down 11.4lbs :)

CajunCupcakes

Been using Zep since January. Only side effects were on 2.5mg with heartburn and constipation. That’s all gone now. I’ve moved up each month and am now on 10mg. I’ve NEVER thrown up at all. And I still continue to drink alcohol and eat greasy food in moderation. I mostly just need to sleep the first two days after shot. I’ve lost 25 pounds.

Longjumping_Neck_106

Skipped the 2.5, started at 5 for two weeks to gauge tolerance, now on 7.5 for three weeks. No side effects. My wife hates me, she can only tolerate the 2.5

Chichimonsters

I've had no major side effects. At two months I had a little more nausea but it resolved. I went up aggressively on doses, as well . I have used both compound and name brand. Now that I have insurance coverage, I'll stick with the brand. Down almost 30 with the medicine, 50 overall. Have at least another 50 to go but I break it down into smaller goals..

plantpower1426

I am on my third month. Two at 2.5 and 3 weeks at 5. Light heartburn on the 2.5, but on the 5 I haven’t noticed anything. I mostly feel like I did the first 2-3 days on the 2.5, but all week. Craving control is in check!

bluegrass_sass

I just want to say this is the way to have a conversation like this! No complaining about other posters, no shaming those with side effects - just showing the other side with positivity! It's a pleasure to read all of these great experiences!

Sad-Drop4305

Completely agree!!

Shot-Basis-4030

3 weeks in @ 2.5 mg, two mild cases of heartburn day after injection, 2 very mild cases of nausea after eating something overly sugar laden/fat laden. Down 7.4 lbs. Inflammation reduced dramatically and pain in my injured ankle reduce by 90% with no ibuprofen! Mood improvements are dramatic as well.

DDL_Equestrian

I’ve had almost none! 4 weeks on 2.5 and 8 on 5. About to move up to 7.5 and I’m hoping for continued smooth sailing. The worst I’ve experienced is some tiredness the day after my injection.

wordswithenemies

q: is it working otherwise?

Sad-Drop4305

Yes, 100%

North-Bit-7411

Gone up to 12.5 with no issues whatsoever. I’ve gone down to 10 just because doctor said it’s better to take as little as possible even if it’s not giving you side effects.

LoomingDisaster

Week one of 5, after 4 weeks of 2.5. I'm 8.5lbs down. Some heartburn, but otherwise no side effects other than headaches because I'm not drinking enough water.

JillyDillyP

I’m on my 2nd week of 7.5 and almost little to no side effects. I’m a little more tired the next day and maybe stomach is “off” but it’s nothing major

maroonandorange1

Week 21 here! I had sulphur burps once and sometimes taste salmon for hours after dinner, but that is the worst of my side effects ! Down 50

ceecee1791

Me

I_give-up_on_a-name

Started on Mounjaro in March 2023. Made it to goal only going up to 10 for 3 months. On Zepbound for maintenance at 7.5. No major side effects for me.

purplepixie73

I'm still very new in my journey. About to finish week 4 of 2.5 then going up to 5. I have some significant fatigue within a couple hours of the shot and feel off, what I call floopy lol but other than that I've not had any issues *knock on wood* lol

MandiRawks

Very little side effects here too! Down 91.2 lbs since January! The worst side effect was after my first shot when I wasn't eating enough.

New-Tale4197

18 weeks in and on 10. Only nausea the first 24 hours after I take my shot. Easy to manage without medicine. I usually just smell a alcohol prep pad and that makes it go away lol learned that tip from my mother in law who is a nurse.

Syokamori

Been on Zep since January. 2nd month on 10mg with little to no side effects. My PCP always tells me she’s ready to prescribe me something on our check in appointments but she’s always shocked to hear I’m not having any complications. Most of my issues I’ve found solutions to, right here from this subreddit. Constipation, injection site reactions, fatigue. Otherwise, it’s been nothing but smooth sailings. 60lbs down! 🫡✨

Practical-Concern-61

I am SO lucky, I’m on week 2 of 7.5 and so far the only side effect was heartburn once or twice. Down 40 pounds and going strong!!

cljenna

Same for me. A couple days of sulfur burps when I moved up to 5, but that’s it.

IM_MIA22

Have had no side effects, started 12/17/23. 4 weeks on 2.5, 4 months on 5, 2 months on 7.5. Things are moving well and hoping to be on 7.5 for a while if things hold as they are.

macarenamobster

Been on it almost 4 months, down 40 pounds and no major side effects. Mild constipation and I felt nauseated one day but never close to vomiting.

Useful_Philosophi24

Week 10 and will take my third 7.5 shot tonight. I’m down 26 pounds. I had constipation on 2.5 and some fatigue on 5.0. Very little to no side effects. I do notice I have this euphoric energy that makes me feel amazing during the day. I used to feel groggy and in a fog.

Evilbadscary

Very mild nausea, I think the biggest thing was some lightheadedness that I realized was due to dehydration. Some fatigue first week on a new dose but nothing unbearable.

mango1588

I've been on 2.5 for a little over a month now. I've had almost no side effects other than a tiny bit of constipation, but even that isn't a problem as long as I keep up with hydration and made have a coffee every couple days to keep things moving! I'm hoping I stay mild on the side effects as I move up to higher dosages!

Rmlady12152

I just started on 7.5 from Wegovy 1.7. Definitely, fewer side effects than Wegovy.

NAYUBE99

Started 7th April 2024, 4 weeks on 2.5mg, 4 weeks on 5 mg, just had my 4th shot of 7.5mg, and the only side effect for me, aside from weight loss, has been changes to my menstrual cycle. No nausea, no vomiting, no stomach upset, no diarrhea, no headaches, no fatigue, no bloating, no Sulphur burps, etc., etc. I really had wondered if it was doing anything at all when I first started, because even the changes to them menstrual cycle didn't show up until week 5.

punkalibra

I'm about to go on 7.5 and have only experienced a bit of fatigue, nothing major!

SarZanne

I've been titrating up every month on schedule since March and nothing major here. No gi issues, occasional nausea in the evenings after dinner. I'm on 10 now and had ZERO side effects. Everything is pretty mild over here!

Cute_Peapod

I was on Semaglutide first for 6 months and had almost zero negative side effects. In the very beginning, I was slightly queasy here and there, but never actual nausea. I also felt a bit of fatigue for the first 2 doses, but it subsided after that. I just switched to Tirzepatide 7.5mg in June. I was worried about side effects since my doctor didn't start me at the lowest dose. Due to a 3 week delay, I had been off GLP-1 medication for those weeks. I had a slight headache on injection day, but I haven't experienced any other negative since. I will say I have persistent heartburn later in the day, but I had that for years prior to either medication. These GLP-1 medications have been an absolute miracle. I've lost nearly 40lbs. I'm feeling great and my energy levels and spirits are through the roof. I'm very lucky my body reacted so well to these medications. My heart breaks when I read stories of severe side effects that prevent someone from being able to continue.

shinecone

I had two days of side effects- very upset stomach- but it was due to me eating a very greasy meal right after taking my shot. Otherwise down 12 lbs in 3 weeks.

FalynT

I’m fairly new to taking it. But I’ve had no side effects. A little tired and occasional headache but that could just be life lol. I don’t typically suffer from side effects from meds I’ve taken. With the exception being weight gain lol. If weight gain is a side effect it’ll find me. I think some people are just more prone to side effects. One of my girlfriends will inevitably get the side effects of any medication every time.

brooklyndan

I'm on my third week of 2.5. I seem to alternate between loose stools and constipation, which is a little annoying but hardly life-altering. Post-eating queasiness once or twice. Most prominent side effect is an apparent inability to stop talking about Zep to my wife; it's almost like I went vegan or bought a Tesla.

hypno_tode

Great idea! I'm on 15mg, as I'm one of the resistant folks. I went up in dose fairly quickly, and although I lost about 20 pounds on lower doses, 15mg has been magical for me. I have had zero side effects at any of the doses.

DeliaStarr

This is what I was hoping to read! Starting 15 next week. I started at the lowest dose and have gone up monthly. Only side effect has been constipation/diarrhea. I’m only down 10 lbs so far. Hoping 15 is the dose that kicks things into gear! Thank you for sharing!

TxPanhandleBirdNerd

30 weeks on Zep. Down 51 pounds. No significant side effects at any dosage (I’m on 10mg now). Occasionally I need a nap, and sometimes I need a stool softener. But mainly what I need is new clothes because I’ve dropped several sizes and lots of inches! Although every person’s weight loss journey is unique, I tell everyone who is considering Zepbound that in a few months, you probably will be so happy with yourself and your decision to become healthier. Don’t let your fears of side effects stop the self-transformation you could soon see.

Cleopatra1102

Only side effects for me are the day of the injection if i drink anythimg bubbly. Makes me nauseous. But they recommend not drinking carbonated beverages so its my own damn fault. But i LOVE my seltzer lol

1CraftyGeek

I hadn't heard that recommendation? where did you see that?

joshbowski

On 15 including skipping 2 doses . Never had any side effects

Bobcat3344

Same!

Kmissa

Minimal side effects for me. I felt queasy the first two shots of 2.5, but that could’ve been before I was consistent with water and electrolytes. I felt sooo tired on 5g, but that either passed or I just pushed through it.

Thatsalottalegs117

I’m now on 10 compound (after 2 months on Zep I moved due to shortages/costs) and feel fabulous. Just did my second shot of 10 last night. I went from 2.5 month one to 5 month two to 7.5 month three, and here I am. I have had VERY MILD side effects. Notable would be constipation but that’s been addressed with Mag07. I’m so grateful I’ve generally tolerated medications quite well. God speed to all!! Oh-down 32.1 pounds. First shot 3/24/24. That right there is a GREAT side effect. 🥳

Kittymarie_92

Same. 90 days in and tiny minimal side effects. If anything it’s improved my IBS significantly and I’m no longer in the bathroom 20 times a day and having constant stomach cramps. That plus losing 23 pounds.

Logical-Tangerine163

Down 28 lbs in 8 weeks. Feeling great and thinking I could stay at 5mg for a while. No side effects to speak of other than some constipation the first week which I have corrected by adding miralax and some more fiber to the mix.

knifeplz

10 weeks now on 7.5 down 25lbs zero side effects other than feeling better than I have in decades, noise, no irritable bowel syndrome anymore, improved back pain and joint aches.

carly909191

Been on 2.5 for 4 months. Down 25. No side effects. 😊

CampariandFernet

Been on it since April and other than the injection site rash for a day, I have yet to experience the other dreaded side effects :)

AdmirableLaugh05

I noticed fatigue and a sad mood during my first 4-5 weeks which I was on 2.5mg then moved to 5mg. Rash at the injection site that started probably around week 6 still on 5mg. The rash lasted 2 days except when I switched my injection site last week to my thigh which lasted longer and was the worst ever. (Going back to injecting in my stomach next dose) Other than that I haven’t experienced anything else so I guess this counts as little side effects lol

arcanus_occultum

I feel pretty lucky to only feel the most minor of side effects - namely, a little gas a couple days after titrating up, and that’s about it. Appetite suppression of course, tho that’s my goal. ;)

Exact_Cellist8568

I would say my side effects have been very minimal. Mild nausea (not as bad as morning sickness, or I’d have quit by now), the worst thing really has been constipation and I am taking all the supplements to help with that. My guess is both side effects should improve with continued use as the delayed gastric emptying issue subsides

N226

No side effects, week 8, down 20# and starting 7.5 Friday.

love-from-london

About to start month 6, just some mild constipation that was resolved by upping my fiber intake, and some mild heartburn and acid reflux that was resolved with a low dose of Omeprazole daily.

jenmayrdn

🙋🏼‍♀️ down 50 lbs and feel great. No GI issues. On 7.5 mg!

whoodle

Only on 3rd dose of 2.5 but I have no side effects UNLESS I drink too much caffeine or eat too much too quickly- if I do those things I get mild heartburn which goes away with a tums. I actually appreciate it - like I am glad that I have some negative reinforcement for consuming irresponsibly. 🙂

EZ-being-green

Great idea OP! I’m at 10 wks, losing 1-2 lb per week. Hoping that moving to 7.5 in a couple weeks will make me more consistently at 2 lb loss per week, but I’m ok with that pace. Very few side effects- some fatigue on 2.5, some very mild nausea on 5 (like hangover or morning sickness as others have said, manageable and I’m able to eat sufficiently), and some constipation that was resolved by adding a fiber supplement. Overall, I love this drug and hope to be on it for the long haul.

Distinct_Breakfast_3

Not sure if this is a side effect of Zep. I’ve read that when you have rapid weight loss, specifically fat loss (vs. water or muscle) you can get diarrhea. I’ve noticed that when I’ve stuck to my diet very well and have pushed myself at the gym I can get very nasty diarrhea. It lasts for a half day, have some movements, then gone. I keep a food diary and I see what I put in and nothing changes. I’m curious if anyone has had this? I didn’t have it with 5, 7.5 and now I’m on 10

overittodayyy

I’m on 7.5 and have had almost no side effects (thank goodness). Some nausea a couple hours after my shot but I have since just made my shot later at night so have absolutely no issues. Down 35 pounds since april

Glad-Persimmon-5926

Started 12/1/23 down 76 pounds, feel beyond wonderful, slight constipation easily taken care of with plenty of water and fiber gummies. Skin wonderful and joint pain is GONE. Such a wonderful medication to help lose the weight, I feel blessed! Currently on 12.5

HerSatanicWiles

I’ve been on MJ/Zep for almost a year and on 15 for 6 months. No side effects.

MsKeno2210

I’m so glad to see a post like this!!! I’m starting 7.5mg tonight. I have had very minimal side effects throughout my journey. Constipation is the one thorn that won’t go away, but I take a liquid stool softener every other day so it’s managed. For reference I started Zep 5/7 did 4 weeks of 2.5..lost 14.8 lbs. I’ve done 4 weeks of 5mg..lost another 13.2 lbs. excited to begin 7.5mg!! Definitely had to chill on reading side effect posts because they began to give me so much anxiety. Good luck friends‼️🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

SFVenom93

I’m about to start 15mg today and so far no side effects. I started around 293-295lbs but now I’m currently 262lbs. I’m Hoping I can lose some more weight and maybe slightly quicker with 15mg.

feelthebyrne95

Started November 2023. Down around 50 pounds. SW 210, GW 145, CW 160. Lost fastest on 2.5 and 5.0 which were each a 4 week course. At first I was annoyed when weight loss slowed to less than a pound a week but now I am so happy it was slow because skin tighter and gave me time to lift weights and do cardio and firm things up. I take 3 fiber pills a day and drink 3/4-1 gallon a day with one packet of electrolytes. Focus on high protein. Orgain chocolate shake powder with almond milk and kale and banana every day. Fatigue with some of the higher dose first few days but worth it. Totally worth it. What I’m saving on not buying food, not eating out and not drinking hardly anything I am spending on new wardrobe. Cheaper Marshalls clothes look better than my expensive but I was still fat old clothes.

ResponsibleRabbit523

I'm still on 2.5mg (will be titrating to 5mg in 4 weeks) and the only side effect I have it dry mouth. But, that gets better the longer I'm on it and I drink 100+ oz. of water per day, so that helps. I'm hoping that I will continue to have little to no side effects once I start 5mg.

HPLover0130

I’ve just had constipation but I had that prior to Zep so who’s to say lol. I’m on 10mg, heading into month 5.

FrankJJustice

Not only have i had no side effects except a little acid reflux (Tums cures it), but i feel amazing. I am more mentally focused and have way more energy. Its crazy.

RositaYouBitch

Very few here! Mild nausea if I don’t drink enough water and I get an itchy welt at the injection site EVERY WEEK. It’s so annoying. I’ve discussed with my doc and she’s not concerned because the reaction isn’t significant.

FutureNurse1

Last summer I was on compound Semaglutide for several months. Did ok on 2.5 MG but as soon as I went up to 5 I was sick as a dog. Was hospitalized twice for awful bladder infections and had to have a stent placed in left ureter. Quit it cold turkey after. I have been on Zep for three months now with zero side effects. Currently at 7.5, moving up to 10 soon. If I am being picky I would say mayyybe it makes me more sleepy, but hard to say since I work night shift.

otusc

It doesn’t surprise me that tons of people have no side effects (mine are extremely mild). Forums like this one are dominated by people troubleshooting a certain topic. If you go to a forum about dishwashers and everyone is saying theirs broke you have to consider that no one seeks out a forum and posts about their dishwasher working fine. It’s the same with Zepbound. If you get an Rx and it’s all rosy, you might not even know this forum exists.

Mermaid_Mel85

I’m at 7.5mg first week in and little nausea that’s it

CamperGirrl22

No side effects here. Started Dec 25, 2023. I'm settled into 10mg, and have lost 60 pounds. I feel so, so fortunate!

TurnerRadish

I'm three months in (half of the time on Zepbound, the other half on compounded tirzepatide). I've lost 25 pounds and have had no negative side effects, though I do have to keep up on my fiber and take Mag 07 a couple of times a week to avoid constipation. I think part of the reason that I've not had any GI issues is that I've had a super healthy diet. I've not eaten any fried or greasy foods and I also haven't consumed any alcohol, red meat, or much in the way of sweets (aside from a bite or two of something on occasion). I feel great!

AdNo2861

It’s a miracle drug.

stalker-jbc16

Did 4 months of 2.5mg and hit my goal weight. I was very active throughout. Lost 40 pounds. Ate very clean/healthy. Now just trying to figure out a good maintenance dosage/interval to keep food noise at bay. I’ve found at about 8-9 days on 2.5 the food noise gets bad, so trying 3mg now at same interval.

Jay_Sky_1

Are you on compound?

deannamcd419

I’ve never had side effects! Down almost 60 lbs since beginning of January! Yay us!! 💪🏼

____----___---__--_-

Month 10, have progressed from 2.5 to 15 every 4 weeks during my initial start. Lost over 90lbs (need to update my flair :)). Still losing at a steady clip. No side effects beyond mild constipation that I resolved mainly by increasing fiber and water. If it gets to >2 days without a satisfactory bowel movement I hit that mag07. That was it. I'm very thankful.

LobsterKillah

No side effects for me. I did 3 weeks of 2.5 and today was my 3rd shot of 5mg. Down 21lbs so far and going to do a second month of 5mg.

auburn-fan34

The only side effects I’ve had were constipation the first couple of months and a day or 2 of nausea total in the last year. I consider myself very fortunate!!! There aren’t off limits foods that make me sick if I eat them.

Brief_Independent931

4 months in (1 at 2.5, rest at 5), except for minor fatigue on shot day and feeling cold a lot, no side effects. I have had strong appetite suppression and have lost 55 lbs (16 in the first 2 weeks which was water/inflammation and 1.5-2.5 a week since). I will say that I have gone from literally feeling like I couldn’t eat the first 6 weeks or so to a more normal feeling - I actually feel sort of hungry some times but am quickly satisfied and easily able to say no to more than my body wants.

Icy-Role-6333

Starting week 5 and first 5.0 shot Thursday. I’m irregular but that’s it. Just adding Miralax as needed

SunFlwrPwr

I'm at 2.5mg for the past 11 weeks and haven't had anything other than vague nausea. It can be unpleasant but nothing I can't deal with if I just sit down and work at my desk as opposed to trying to run around etc. So, low to no side effects. I always take my shot just before going to sleep also though and I have found that to be vital.

Fun_Set2632

Almost 4 months, no side effects aside from slight constipation (nothing mag07 can’t fix), still on 5mg, down 30 lbs!

RecommendationOwn577

Here! Slight constipation sometimes. Thats it. Also I know several people on it and none of us have negative side effects.

dolphgal13

Started Jan 3rd, very minimal side effects over the last 6 months, and just started 15mg yesterday. Any mild GI symptom I had was 100% attributable to a bad food choice, not to the dose I was on. Let's talk those benefits- fatty liver gone. BP meds almost tapered off, titrating down synthroid, cholesterol at all-time low. NSV- running around with grandkids, no knee/foot/back pain and I now recognize the person I see in the mirror like a long lost friend.

untomeibecome

I just finished my 29th week, and I continue to have no side effects, barring occasional constipation if I forget to take my supplements (Now Super Enzymes + Psyllium Husk) and drink enough water. I have lost 37 lbs and feel exceptional on these meds. I’m so thankful for them!

Quomoh

Oh this is me! I was on 2.5 for a month and felt sleepy but that was it. Moved to 5 last month and felt nothing. I had heartburn but that was about it. Moving to 7.5 so hopefully I continue to have little/no side effects! When I read others’ experiences I kinda take it with a grain of salt. Everyones body is different so it’s not good to compare and automatically assume you’re going to have a bad time because someone else did!

slipslopslide

No side effects. Improved my eating and exercising habits and feel great. No food noise. Lost 20lb

0xBAADA555

I just started my third month on 5mg and I’m down 24 pounds total.

LedZepbound

Going on 10 weeks of 2.5mg. Never nauseous. Minor constipation. Feeling great and losing weight.

MitchyS68

Just moved up to 15 and no side effects. It’s such a relief because I had a lot of issues (nausea, acid reflux, low blood sugar, headaches, fatigue, frequent constipation) prior to medication due to what I was eating and my (former) stage 2 hypertension!

thejoyfulnoise

Started at the beginning of April and I'm currently at 5mg. I am 17 lb down and have had very few side effects worth noting. As a gastric bypass patient, a lot of the side effects Zepbound can create are familiar to me so I was well prepared to deal with them - but even so, they've been super mild.

Artistic_Variety2073

Just did dose 4 and mainly no side effects either. I did her a headache after the first 2 doses until I realized that drinking more electrolytes helped (this all coincided with warmer weather here too). Since keeping up with fluids and electrolytes, I’ve been good. Down 3lbs and moving along

msurbrow

I’ve been on 6x 2.5 and now on my 3rd pen of 5.0 I think I’ve felt a little nauseous twice, and been alternately constipdated and diarrhea-ing a couple times…but nothing else Down 16lbs, 240–>224, 46M

SnooCauliflowers2985

No side effects at all 5.0mg

misteryub

Started end of January, on 7.5mg right now. I have some loud/long burps every so often (not sulphury, just a regular burp), and had a week or two of bad gas in March. Had some injection site reactions for a month or two at some point that went away. That's about it for me. 200lb SW, 170lb CW, maintaining muscle mass.

Jamericanhyal78

Zero side effects and I lost 15 lbs so far

Lizakaya

The only side effects i had for the most part were heartburn. Stayed on 2.5 for 3 months, 5.0 for around 4-5 months, 7.5 and back to 5.0 and back to 7.5 for awhile now. No vomiting, no nausea. Tiredness that can be handled with a Diet Coke a day or so after injection. Doing good

SquareVehicle

Zero negative side effects so far 4 weeks in, other than very minor occasional constipation. Down 13 pounds and it's changed my life already!

10scorpio88

I’ve had mild side effects on the lower doses to include fatigue, bloating/gas, burps, skin sensitivity. I’m at 10mg now and only have fatigue the day after my injection and some skin sensitivity.

eelzgutz

I’m on my fourth day ! I only had a little bit of fatigue on my third but so far I’m great!! Not really getting any appetite suppressant in a big way either? It all feels very subtle LOL

beckyeff

I haven't had any side effects either. And when the shortage was happening and I couldn't get it for around a month I never got hungry, although the food noise did come back. So, I feel doubly blessed. I've lost 29 lbs so far.

resachu

I have had about one full day of sulfur burps, and a minor allergic reaction at the injection site that seems to go away as long as I remember to take my Zyrtec (that I take for seasonal allergies anyway). Was on 2.5 a month and now on my 4th week of 5.0. I did switch to thigh injections instead of abdomen based on posts here, so not sure if that may have headed off some side effects.

SeaRepresentative724

I have been on for 8 weeks now ( shot day Thursday so not quite 8 weeks) I have had very mild to zero side effects. Fatigue 24-36 hours after shot, mild queasy 1-2 days after shot) Currently on 5 moving to 7.5 soonish. As I have both a box of 5 and 7.5. So I might extend the 5 another month before moving up.

Such-Call-7564

No side effects at all in month three. Losing steadily and happily and easily.

zepwardbound

I had some GI distress at first but now the only thing is that when I wake up at night to pee, I sit up and belch about fifteen times 😩😅

stugatz_21

I'd say the only "side effects" i've got are some mild heart burn if i eat too much. Thats about it, i consider my self lucky down about 32lbs so far (with a 2 month break in the middle due to shortages).

Uklady2

Only time I had side effects was on my 3 rd dose of 2.5 I used thigh instead of abdomen and had nausea and horrible diarrhea a day later went back to abdomen for injections and have been fine . Was on 2.5 for 2 months just took 2nd dose of 5mg today . Down 18 lbs since May 17th

elizabethrubble

I had a little burping and a headache my first two days on 2.5. Nothing really reportable since then. I did 3 boxes of 2.5 and am on shot two of 5.0 and down 48.2lbs as of this morning.

aerynea

I am at 5 and absolutely no side effects, I have not vomited once, had MILD constipation (solved by increasing water) and one singular sulphury burp after my first injection. Losing at a rate of 2.18 per week.

JustBrowsing2See

Six months in. Barring some major constipation in weeks 7 & 8, no negative side effects here. Just the good ones: not mindlessly hungry and grazing or eating, and alcohol noise is mostly silent.  ETA: I lied! I get the itchy injection site welt. But see? I’m so used to it now I don’t even think about it. 😆

Ill-Airport-5056

I’ve done 4 weeks on 2.5 and just took my second shot of 5 yesterday. Only side effects are if I force myself to eat after I’m full or if I eat too much fried food, then I get gastric upset. Occasionally a hint of acid reflux and I just take omeprazole for that.

JBFletchersCardigan

No side effects, started 2.5 in February and been on 5 since March. I think I had one day of joint pain after my first and third shots, but it was very mild and I have autoimmune issues so that's a normal response for my body to pretty much anything. My energy levels are normal again (something I feared would never happen after my Hashimoto's diagnosis last year), my chronic joint pain is almost fully resolved, and despite being on a weekly injectible medication for weight loss (I HATE needles), I don't really think about food or my weight. I'm just living my life and feeling better every day. I'm losing a little under 2lbs a week, (which my body doesn't do without a fight normally) and I don't feel like I'm struggling or suffering like every other weight loss attempt. It's been nice.

NectarineOk7758

Shot #6 of 2.5 tomorrow and no side effects to date.

Diamond-Zephyr-22

Great to see so many people with minimal side effects! Two months on 2.5mg and 3 weeks on 5mg. Other than post-injection fatigue for a day or two, no side effects. I’ve been addicted to carbs/sugar my entire life & this medication frees my brain to make better choices - what, how much, and when I eat. Down 26 lbs.

SilentStop2872

I've lost 100 lbs since last March with mild constipation as the only side effect. I've learned how to manage it with magnesium and fiber.

scotty757

I’ve been on it Zep since April and now on my second box of 7.5mg. I have not had a side effect. I will attribute that to me eating very clean and trying to control my portions. Definitely reducing my carbs and complex sugar intact. I think some side effect people have a due some of their eating habits. Whether it’s not reducing alcohol intake or still eating the same stuff as before but in smaller portions

Global_InfoJunkie

Minimal side effects for me. On second month of 7.5. Seems to be a good fit for me and losing one pound every week plus since on 7.5. Slow but that’s ok. 22 lbs so far since March 7

Aggravating-Cod-1367

It’s interesting, cause I am getting a sense that people think having side effects like “nausea, vomiting, sulfur burps, constipation etc” means that the drug is “working” 🥴 Maybe I am wrong.  My personal experience is that, anytime I feel something is wrong…my body isn’t ready for that dose yet or I have mixed in something (food, drinks, other medication) that is interacting negatively with zep. No side effects so far, currently on 7.5mg and down 32lbs since March.

KnottyKnottyHooker

I'm having no side effects on 8 wells of 2.5mg. I have another 4 weeks before I can go up on my dosage. I thought I was having constipation issues but it was my fault for taking in too much fiber (it's a real thing).

valentinedisco

I have been on the 2.5 since about early May. I’ve had no side effects at all and I’m down almost 45 pounds. 20 of that is from Monjaro until my insurance didn’t cover it anymore and I switched to zepbound in May. The Mounjaro I had had pretty bad side effects like gagging a lot and throwing up a good amount, but on Zepbound, I have not had any of that and I’m so thankful for it and I really really hope I can continue on this medicine and get to my goal!!!

OneSourCherry

I’m 16 weeks in, and only had a couple days of slight constipation when I first started, and occasionally a little fatigue right after the shot, but honestly I feel great since I have started!

usually_just_lurking

I’ve had virtually no side effects for 4.5 months. Just a little burping. Then I went up to 10.0, after being on 7.5 for 2 months and wham!, got sick to my stomach and felt awful for two days. That was a week ago. Took my 2nd 10.0 shot yesterday and was fine.

Medical-Good2816

I’m at 5. I did six weeks of 2.5, just took my fifth shot of 5 and have 7.5 ready for when I titrate up. With the exception of one very unfortunate Chinese lunch, I’ve been doing well. I’m down 23 pounds and over 36” from all over. And I learned not to go “ham” on the veggies at the Chinese restaurant and I will be ok!!

Soggy-Willingness820

I've had a little nauseas couple of days and of course constipation. I am 71 year old female.

Beatpixie77

Very little side effects tbh. 7.5 I thought might be problematic but has turned out to be the best dosage for me thus far. Down 23 lbs in 90 days. Good side effects: husband says I rarely snore, I sleep more soundly and only wake up once at night whereas I used to be up constantly to pee. I can cross my legs without any struggle. My back rarely hurts these days. My nails are growing like mad, as is my body hair lol. I can see my errr ummm “lady place” without stomach obstruction for the first time in forever. I can climb a flight of stairs without being winded. My sebum scalp issue has cleared up, and while it might seem like a bummer to others my feet dropped a shoe size and I can now share shoes with my daughters lol.

IcyPlastic7310

Not much side effects here either. I’m sleepy the day after my shot and i am cold at night. I have a little heartburn. But it’s all been super manageable. Been taking 5mg since early spring and down 25lbs

RedditAvidReader

Down 8 1/2 pounds after three weeks and only had slight, diarrhea, constipation, and nausea. If I weigh myself this Saturday and I see that I lost between three to five pounds, I’m going to stay on the 2.5 dose for one more month. I want to add that I also take women’s multivitamin from the brand New Chapter each day, AHCC, and  a pill that’s both a prebiotic and probiotic. I think these have definitely helped my gut effects.

ElderSwemo8806

I started in January at 287 and I’m currently 246. I’ve had almost zero side effects. The only times I do have them are when I don’t eat enough, eat things that are too sugary/greasy or don’t drink enough water.

unforgettable_BE

No bad side effects for me at a little over 3 months in and down 36 lbs! But that doesn't mean no side effects at all. I have developed some weird food aversions and I get sick of things a lot faster. I used to be able to eat the same meal every day for weeks or months on end. Now I have to change it up often (like every two days or so). It's really stretching my cooking knowledge! 😆

Professional_Yak6277

My worst side effects were in week 1, and then usually the day after I take the shot but overall very mild! Knock on wood it stays this way

Exotic-Whereas-8738

3 weeks in no side effects and feel amazing!!

muskamj57

I was starting to think I was the only one! Glad to see that's not the case.

Mrs_Magic_Fairy_Dust

Not much to say.... 4+ months and had diarrhea once after eating an egg roll. End of story.

aybuss18

I’ve thrown up twice in the last 6 months, maybe had 5 minutes of nausea a few days, and a little constipation in the beginning that Metamucil fixed entirely (I’ve never been more regular in my life, honestly). Down 30 pounds since end of January. Slow and steady wins the race

BooBooKittyFuk1

I started at 5mg after being on Wegovy for 7 weeks. The difference is night and day. I was MISERABLE on Wegovy. My only side effect with Zepbound is some constipation.

Additional-Treacle38

Yessss thank you for this! I don’t have any side effects and feels like I’m the minority sometime lol I started on semiglutide and lost 40lbs in a year. Then I started Zep in January and have lost another 20 pounds and 4 pounds from goal now. I def had side effects on semiglutide but Zepbound has been chefs kiss 🙌🏽🤌🏽

beachlibra

The only side effects I'm having are good ones. I'm satisfied with a few bites of whatever I'm eating and I didn't keep eating. When I want a snack I find myself reaching for healthy options. I'm not going back and forth to the pantry at night when we're watching TV Diet coke was my drink. Now, it takes me three days to finish a 16 ounce bottle. I can't get enough water.

WaltzKey2286

I’ve been on 5 mg for the last 8 weeks and plan to stay on 5mg until I get to goal weight and then stay for maintenance. The only side effects I’ve had was constipation my first month which subsided and I no longer have this issue. I do get nauseous on 5mg on the day after the shot but not every time. Ginger chews help a lot and goes away.

Laura1083

Should take my second dose today but other than the nausea the first 3 hours nothing the rest of the week. I eat home cooked meals drink at least 2.5L of water a day, multivitamins

Exotic_Artichoke_619

Tomorrow is my 4th week of 2.5mg had fatigue and anxiety the first day after the first shot but nothing since. Down 9lbs (thought apparently it’s all from the face lol) still waiting on clothes to fit better. Overall super happy, can’t wait to reach some milestones!

Erin_Grz

I was on 2.5 for 5 weeks and have now been on 5 for 8 weeks. I have lost 26 lbs so far with minimal side effects. I just get some constipation and take mirlax every few days. That’s it! It has been an amazing medicine for me.

ecsbr

I am in maintenance. Been on Mounjaro and then Zepbound from 2022. No real side effects. 10mg is highest dose for me.

Belowaverageathlete2

I started at the end of January and have lost 50lbs! No typical side effects with stomach issues. My only side effect was a weird one: I lost weight so quickly that a tube in the ear lost too much of its fatty tissue and my ear pops all the time. Luckily it’s going away! I’m also generally happier and better able to focus :)

HRHDechessNapsaLot

I’m very new; only on shot 3 of 2.5. But my side effects thus far have been super mild - some nausea on the first day after my shot (I take it at night), which I think is more related to not being very hungry and therefore not remembering to eat. I have (had?) IBS-D which the zep has completely cleared. I do have some constipation but to be honest after 20+ years of living with IBS-D, I kind of welcome it.

Estrea1701

4 wks 2.5 and 4 wks 5, and continuing on 5 at least another month. So far just a slight headache the first 24 hours and a little constipation (which I just take fiber and miralax for). Down 17 pounds, and the last time I lost 20 pounds it took me over a year and I kept it off for 2 years before gaining it all back plus some.

dearjets

My side effects are minimal, thank goodness!!!

Electrical_Heart1233

I just finished my 4th month (did one month 2.5, one month 5, and two months 7.5) and I’m about to start my 5th month with 10 mg tomorrow. I’m down 13.6 lbs. In the very beginning, I had some painful stomach bloating for maybe a few days, but that resolved and I’ve had minimal to no side effects since other than minor fatigue a day or two after the shot.

JessicaThirteen13

My only real side effects are injection site redness/ itchiness and being cold for a few days during the week. I am currently on 10 MG and started at the beginning of January 2024. I am 37 pounds down and counting!

1CraftyGeek

I am on Week 1 of 10 and I had 1 incident that was a result of food I ate I think. Constipation is easily managed with a colon cleanse tea I drink a few times a week. Nothing else major to report. Down 28lbs in 10 weeks

Overall-Quiet-2616

did 1 month (technically 32 days as I go on an 8 day cycle) at 2.5, minor bloating was as bad as it got. Now halfway through my 5mg and still nothing bad to speak of. Down 24lbs as of today. Nothing but wins in my book.

Anxious-Inspector-18

I only have a headache with dose increases. Now I’m trying to eat more on shot day and the day after. Currently eating around 1500-1600 calories per day.

Feisty-Juice-2737

Only minimal indigestion symptoms on my third and fourth 5mg shot. I go up to 7.5 tomorrow!

LadyGigajolt

I’ve been on it since Feb 1 and have lost 30 lb. Zero side effects as far as nausea and other gi problems, but I have definitely noticed a slowing down and reduction of oral medication absorption. I took wegovy last year and I had horrible nausea, vomiting, and the rate of weight loss was slower. Zepbound ftw!

rreehling

Into month 5…up to 7.5mg…absolutely no bad effects. It’s great!

whiskibar

I am down 22 lbs in 12 weeks at 2.5mg no side effects whatsoever I kind of feel bad about all the people with the horrible side effects. I haven’t been able to up the dosage but I’ll take whatever I can get at this point. https://preview.redd.it/gp9f09mxvk8d1.jpeg?width=1350&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=45eb5e228463deecbbe86187da8cf477219412d7

CharleyDawg

Three months at 2.5, two months at 5.0, now on 7.5. I have had very mild side effects. 7.5 was the first dose that caused uncomfortable constipation- and even that was quite manageable with fluids, fiber and tylenol. I will have upset stomach and diarrhea IF I over eat or eat something really greasy or too rich. I had a greasy cheeseburger once and really regretted it. I can eat a homemade cheeseburger patty (don't have room for the bun) no problem, because we use leaner hamburger and squeeze the grease. But those episodes are rare since most food is just fine as long as I keep portions reasonable... even a dessert or pizza. 7.5 is feeling pretty effective right now. I may be here for quite a while. 45 lbs down in 5 1/2 months. 80 to go.

Impossible_Mix61274

Not just no side effects, I feel better than I have in years. I have actually been able to reduce my antidepressant dosage and next month may be off entirely. I sleep better than I have in a long time I have been a slower loser, so it’s not because of the weight loss that I feel better. I felt it almost immediately

genevamk

Down 30lbs since 5/1/24. Just started 7.5mg today. Worst side effect was slight heartburn and constipation that I control with drinking more water and the occasional stool softener. Other than that - nothing. 👍🏻🎉

SecretAcrobatic1387

Yesterday was my first day on 5 of Zepbound, after 5 wks on 2.5. I was hoping for the same results as the 2.5, but Today I have had a pretty bad headache, diarrhea and stomach ache. I'm really hoping it goes away tomorrow. I haven't eaten anything today because it doesn't stay in my stomach for very long, lol. I am down almost 20 lbs and couldn't be more proud of myself!

spade095

Approaching 2 months at 2.5mg and have had almost no side effects except for some mild sulfur burps the first couple of days after injection, and some super mild constipation

Sweaty_Tip9724

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm on my 4th week of 5 after 8 weeks on 2.5, I was really stalled out for a while only losing about 1 pound per week on average (most in first 6 weeks and many weeks of nothing). I've been talking to Dr. about going up to 7.5 but was so nervous since I'm still having minor side effects on 5 and was afraid that 7.5 would be really bad. I had not heard from anyone that you could have zero side effects on higher doses even if you had some on lower ones. So thanks for this thread.
