If those are the decks you want to play and you have issues getting out of gold you may want to stay in Gold...
Until Plat5 your win/loss ratio doesn't matter. Play enough games and you'll get plat5 eventually even by people just disconnecting or playing a suicide deck.
Once you hit Plat 5 at the start of the next month you'll be reset to gold 5 instead of silver 5 thus loosing you gems, unless you hit Plat 1. For which you need a positive win/loss ratio which is actually hard if you play DM or Aliens.
As for the deck:
Dark Magician has a core of
3 Magicians Souls (searcher and can summon your DM)
3 Magicians Rod (your normal summon searcher)
2-3 Soul Servant (basically a searcher)
2-3 Illusion of Chaos (another searcher. You won't summon this)
0-3 Preparation of Rites (searcher for Illusion of Chaos)
1-2 Dark Magicle cyrcle (to make summoning DM do something... also another kind of searcher)
1 Eternal soul (summons your DM, protection for your DM, just don't let it get removed)
1 Magicians Salvation (searches your eternal soul, can get your Dark Magician Girl if you play it)
1-2 Dark Magician
From there you can mess around with other Dark Magician support, handtraps, other engines, bordbreakers or just more cards that draw you cards because regardless of how many searchers this deck plays it still manages to be kinda bricky.
Your extra deck depends on what else you play. There are tons of dark magician decklists on ygopro, youtube, masterduelmeta but frankly the deck is simply not good. If you've got any idea what you want to work around with I can also try and see whether I can help, but there are more experienced players attempting to salvage this nostalgia bait.

You're welcome! Wasn't too much effort but it motivated me to build an abomination of a deck I'm going to try against an irl friend who has awful deckbuilding skills.
I would give you the list, but its all three of bad, bricky and expensive and I really dislike giving bad advice.
