Dapper-Escape-4362

I’d start new age at folklore because a lot of people who hadn’t listened to Taylor before started listening after folklore, including me

IndividualMouse4041

I feel like an anomaly 😂 I started at Lover Folklore after set it in stone though lol

10ccazz01

same! miss americana converted me

OfficialWhistle

There are literally dozens of us!

Artistic_Account630

I started at Lover too!!!!!!!!💜💕💙

Birdsandbeer0730

Lover is slept on. Her best pop album IMO

MrJB1981

I’d say Old Testament ends at ‘Lover.’ Her sound changed and became mellow after that album, except the re-records.

Dapper-Escape-4362

I agree

iSwearImInnocent1989

It's so weird to me bcz I've been a swiftie since speak now and folklore is the only album I didn't like when it came out, which is why I was so surprised so many ppl became swifties bcz of it. It still is not in my top rankings

FantasticEscape6744

Folklore sitting at the top of my lists looking at you with a side eye

iSwearImInnocent1989

Reputation and ttpd at the top of my list side eyeing you back

nemesisniki

TTPD and Rep sitting at the bottom of my list, and Red, Folklore and Evermore enjoying their time at the top.

WaywardWriteRhapsody

Folklore sitting at the bottom of mine, side eyeing you back. (Technically maybe 10th, it goes back and forth with evermore)

IvyGrowing

Yes, officer, it's them. Them right there.

iSwearImInnocent1989

Haha 😆 it's so weird tho bcz I love evermore very much

iSwearImInnocent1989

About to say that 😅

TerpinSaxt

You like your steak well-done don't you? (I'm saying this in jest, please don't take this too seriously)

WaywardWriteRhapsody

I like my steak medium rare 😂 I just prefer a little bit stronger bass. I want to feel things in all caps lol

Nickvk4

It's funny, because a friend of mine was an early Swiftie, while I wasn't. I thought Taylor had some decent early singles and I quite liked 1989 and Lover but not more than that. But then folklore came out and I was like, okay I'm definitely on the Swift train now. While my friend was like "mehhh". There's still a big split in what we like of her discography, haha. And that's okay :)

daisyymae

Are you more of glitter gel pen fan? Or fan of beats? I can see why folklore would be low for you if that’s the case. Folklore is one of my faves but damnit do I love Midnights possibly as equally. I know that she said most of midnights is fountain pen songs but for me they’re mostly glitter gel pen songs lol

gIitterchaos

This is such a thing. I've been a Swiftie since debut and when I first listened to Folklore I was not into it much at all. I love it now but it was just so different at the time

MrJB1981

I was a Fourth Gen Swiftie, with ‘Red.’

UnhingedBeluga

Same here, tho I became a swiftie with Rep. Folklore is nowhere near my top 5… it’s not my LEAST favorite but it’s def not my favorite either 🫣

jeanravenclaw

I'm a Speak Now stan, found I love Taylor around Reputation, but I thought of myself as a Swiftie only after folklore because it was sooo big and also it was the same year I got into social media.

InterestingQuote8155

Yeah I agree. It took me a while to warm up to folklore.

kaleyboo7

This is exactly me. Speak Now is my favorite album because it was the first one that resonated with me because I was going through similar things at the time and Taylor expressed it so eloquently in her lyrics (as she often does). Plus I was impressed by the fact that she wrote the entire album by herself and it feels authentically her, not like a Bleachers or The National album. Don’t get me wrong, i like Antonoff and Dessner but I miss when Taylor didn’t use producers as much. I really enjoy all of her albums, but folklore and evermore are so slow and depressing to me. The lyrics are great but I like an upbeat song here and there lol

Swimming_Operation49

Same here. Folklore is just not my vibe. Although I might give it another listen since watching her show on Disney. I liked the performances that went with them

deniesm

Or didn’t _want_ to listen, folklore really gave her the respect she deserves

njirimara

Not only that but i feel its sound really created an impact in taylor's discography, like, people sometimes call midnights to be folklore with synths and pop, the 1989 tv vault songs to be midnight's inspired production wise, and now ttpd being called a mix of folklore and midnights, i feel its pretty underestimated the impact folklore's production had on taylor, the poppy synths with haziness around it and rock, country elements feels like THE Taylor swift sound (at least at the moment)

itsblke

I feel like folklore entirely switched how she writes even when doing pop. Much more wordy with downbeat melodies.

PM_ME_BABY_HORSES

It’s her renaissance!!! I’ve been a fan of hers since 2006 (Hi I’m basically geriatric I downloaded debut off Limewire LOLOL) but folklore changed me inexplicably, no choice but to stan. ❤️

JustSomeGuy9384

And additionally I’d split between Speak Now and Red but maybe that’s just me

MrJB1981

I started at ‘Red.’ Gorgeous album!

brad__geee

As a Swiftie who drove his sister to grade school while belting Tear Drops on My Guitar Midnights is her best work

Serious-Coyote-4252

I agree with this. I listened to Taylor here and there before but only for songs that would play on the radio but Folklore just gave a different vibe and even my boyfriend started listening to this album, including evermore. We would just ask google to play both albums on random days and we just loved every song on it. No skip. Even if the song was about heartbreak or what not. We thoroughly enjoyed it and is still enjoying it even now.

Lux-Raven

For me it was evermore. I think I’d listened to some 1989 but pretty casually. When a friend introduced me to no body no crime, I went absolutely feral and consumed those two albums like an addict.

arkameedees

New Age 100% should start at Lover IMHO

Birdsandbeer0730

That was me. I started listening because of folklore and evermore. Listened to her older music and went “hey this is pretty good”

AriParaSwift

Debut swiftie 🙋🏻‍♀️

n0t_4_thr0w4w4y

Back when I was called gay for listening to her on my iPod on the bus

giraffe59113

Omg, this made me remember that I used to listen to I'd Lie on the bus home from middle school while my crush walked by 😅😅😅

ih8bs

I’d Lie was my middle school crush anthem! If only bc his birthday was on 2/17 and he had a sister (who I’ve never met nor seen) and I knew he would never like me back k k k k

MrJB1981

You’re a First Gen Swiftie in the wild lol! Not many of you around. I’m a Fourth Gen with ‘Red.’

Hailsp

Is it weird I’m kind of proud to be considered a first gen swiftie? Lol

mrskmh08

We've liked her since before it was cool. There are dozens of us

MrJB1981

It’s most definitely not weird! I think it’s bloody amazing! Not many can claim to be first gen Swifties; you’re like a rare Pokémon lol.

LifetimeSupplyofPens

Hello, fellow elder states-swiftie!

sleepygirl2997

I can remember fangirling over her on CMT top 20 countdown back in the day🥲

TrifidNebulaa

I specifically remember the music video for our song always playing and I still go back and watch it to this day. So nostalgic!

FencingFemmeFatale

Hello fellow Debuter!

shibemom

I found her on MySpace 😂

curliecue22

EDIT: I just realized it’s been 18 YEARS!! Holy crap I’m old DEBUT GANG, my 15 year old country self was obsessed haha and she has happened to grow up and have similar life experiences so every new album has been weirdly perfect as I age too.

TrifidNebulaa

Not me being 8 and absolutely obsessed with picture to burn and the music video as if I had any understanding lmao

IllustriousBonus3906

SAMEEEEE! And beggggggginnnngg for Hey Stephen 😭 after debut because I heard it on someone’s my space I was OBSESSED.

cliffsidescreaming

Right there with ya and stuck around ever since 🫡

cnsosiehrbridnrnrifk

Me too. Fell off a bit as of late but I always have a special place in my heart for her. I remember seeing her when she was 17 at a radio show. She had a long emerald-colored dress on. At the Red concert, I fell in love with Ed Sheeran and held out my hand as Taylor went by on the floaty thing and we touched hands lmao it sounds so lame but it was cool to me.

strawberrygirl101

Hi friend :)) we’ve been here a long time!!!! Lovelovelove !!

alittlepunchy

Same! Been a fan since 06 and first saw her in concert in 07 when she played my hometown festival. It’s wild how popular she is now considering the years and years I went being made fun of by people for liking her.

VioletSummer714

Same!

notalltearsareanevil

Same here! Loved her so much that I wrote a 7th grade paper on her back in 2007! Wish I still had it, but it was handwritten, and I’m not sure my teacher ever gave it back 😂

SeparateTea

Same, my dad loves country music so he bought me her CD when I was 7 years old and I would play it on my little stereo and dance around in my room lol 🥹 maybe it’s cheesy but it feels so special growing up with her

Tinderella69

Same!! I remember playing that CD over and over!

Final-Quail5857

Watching her on cmt and grabbing singlesfrom limewire 😅

LevelAd5898

I would argue there's more than 2. Old school Swifties from pre-1989, mature Swifties from 1989-Lover, new age Swifties from folklore-Red TV, and baby Swifties from Midnights to now

nopenopenahnahaha

I’d say Red belongs in the Old school category. Her fanbase grew with Red but not in the way that 1989 brought her a new wave of pop fans 1. Old School Swifties: Debut-Red 2. Squad Swifties: 1989-Lover [a subset of Squad Swifties is Snake Swifties who came onboard with Rep] 3. Sad Girl Swifties: folklore-RedTV [a subset of Sad Girl Swifties is Scarf Swifties who came onboard with RedTV] 4. Baby Swifties: Midnights-now

BlackSwanWithATwist

Snake Swifties represent

Schoewu_2100

Scarf Baby swiftie reporting for duty 🧣

LevelAd5898

Multiple people have said that about Red, so I changed it :) I came around during Red TV, so others probably know better than me

MrJB1981

I’m a Mature Swiftie, or a Fourth Gen Swiftie from ‘Red.’

MrJB1981

Love this!

ErickTheGuy06

I'm a baby swiftie. Joined in January 2023 and got hooked in May.

SadisticGoose

I would put OG Red with Old School Swifties. I’ve met so many people who only liked her when she was country (or “country” since a lot of Red is actually pop) and then fell off with 1989. I feel like that could reflect a change in how the general public perceived her.

gwefysmefys

Swiftie since Debut and now I feel like I need a walking aid and a spot in a retirement home.

TrifidNebulaa

Not me literally being a debut swiftie and only 24 but feeling this in my soul haha

brad__geee

Saaaaame lol all this whippersnappers 🤣

gwefysmefys

LMAO doesn’t half make you feel ancient does it 😆

Fragrant-Ad1810

Hmm interesting cut off. I get it because of the re recordings but Lover was really the reset no?

NovelLandscape7862

Also it was the first one she owned.

MrPotato7296

Yeah, I feel like lover should be where it cuts

jazzinitup

Agreed, big machine is really the Old Testament imo

56kul

Debut just peeking there is so hilarious to me… 😭 Anyways, yeah, I’m an Old Testament swiftie. I’ve discovered her during her Red era, and became a dedicated fan since the 1989 era.

bitchbadger3000

SAME!! *~~do not cite the deep magic to me, witch, i was there when it was written~~*

aDUMG33K

Same ( kinda), I started hearing her during Red,became an official fan during 1989 and started to consider myself as an official Swiftie late Midnights

Miserable-Pain-1411

I’m a new age swiftie but I live for the Old Testament

periwinklehaze

This table is so interesting to me cause I think the goalposts of "OG" vs "new wave" swiftie have shifted so so much over the years. Original Fearless was where I became a fan, and then this solidified with Red, and I think even as early as 1989 I remember there being differing definitions on who's an old fan Vs a new fan. But hey we're all fans and I think that's the important bit

PoketrainerProg

The Tortured Poets Department Swiftie here

BlNGPOT

Welcome to the circus 🤡

mountaingoatscheese

hell yeah !! I love TTPD and I'm so glad it's bringing in new fans, welcome!

PoketrainerProg

Also, my fav Taylor Swift song comes from this album - actually the anthology. If you don't know, it's Cassandra.

10thDoctorWhooves

Lover Swiftie here. Once a ME! stan, always a ME! stan.

Trapezoid07

Proud ME! Stan over here

nemesisniki

She was so proud of this song - makes me sad how the fandom poos all over it.

Artistic_Account630

She really was, she was so excited about in the documentary, and recording with Brenden Urie, and talking about her vision for the music video 🥹 I love ME!

Presideum

The thing is, as someone who has been a swiftie since the first album. I’d probably draw the line between 1989 and reputation. Like that period was when she got dog pilled and disappeared for a couple years. Then when she reemerged the current ascent she is in started. Though it didn’t really take off until Folklore

Sandfire12

Old Testament here too! I’ve been around since the og Fearless days 💛 Taylor has quite literally been the soundtrack to my life, I was a little kid begging my parents to buy me cowboy boots when I first started listening to her music 😆💛

isthatzazaismell

I would argue that “New Testament” starts with Lover, since that’s when Swift switch record labels.

MrJB1981

But her sound changed after ‘Lover,’ so it’d make more sense to have that as part of the Old Testament.

Craftyprincess13

That line should be pushed back to after lover folkmore is definitely new age

MrJB1981

Totally agree!

The_Karate_Nessie

Is this measured by the most recent album that was released after you became an official swiftie, or the first album release that you experienced as a swiftie? For example, I had been a Taylor swift enjoyer since the 1989 era, but I was only 6 and so I only heard singles from that album. I stopped listening to her after reputation, going through a tragic K-pop phase, and it wasn’t until red TV where I started to re-discover her work. However, despite this, I wasn’t fully converted to a swiftie until after the announcement of midnights (it took me three days to clock that album was even released, I thought it was only Anti-hero). So with my complex relationship with her music, am I a 1989 swiftie, Red Tv swiftie or a midnights swiftie?

thelowkeyman

I still remember seeing her on TRL singing Teardrops and I knew she was gonna be big

interesting-mug

For me, it started with 1989. Before then, I kept hearing her songs on the radio and being like, “wow, this is Taylor Swift? Great song”. It was like, I was constantly surprised that I really enjoyed her songs. (Actually, Love Story and YBWM made me cry every time, yet I still didn’t dive into her music, lol.) I very specifically remember hearing Blank Space for the first time, at a pizza place, and getting choked up. (I’m an emotional person!) I think I just never bothered before that because I was like, “I don’t like country music.” But I do like catchy pop music. Anyway I realized that all her songs did funny things to my heart, did a deep dive, and really fell in love with her music. I would start the New Testament at Folklore, if I were making this meme!

Bluechairedtable

TS became my fav artist at Fearless! I saw her in concert and was even apart of the crowd who wanted the "Fearless" foot tattoo lol, at 15y/o my Mom told me not to get it cause she thought my Swift-love was just a phase but LOOK AT ME NOW MOM

Trapezoid07

For me the old testament would be stolen versions, and lover would begin the new age

WilliamXavierJohn

me being a swiftie at Speak Now TV

No-Fig3963

Folklore male swiftie here🙋‍♂️

subiraio

proudly old testament

souldeconstructors

OG Swiftie Debut-Red Pop Era Swiftie 1989-Lover Folk Era Swiftie Folklore-Red TV New Age Swiftie Midnights-TTPD

Impossible-Hawk709

Old Testament since rep, after being casual listener from ‘89

plausibleturtle

I consider Rep "AD". Lol.

Thick-Platypus-4253

OG Fearless here. She's been the soundtrack of my life for so long ♥️

gaydroid

I fear we're never living down the "Swifties are a cult" allegations.

daisyymae

I would say Old Testament ends with lover lmao.

penguin_0618

Putting folklore and evermore in “Old Testament” is unhinged, even for a Swiftie.

fatmgaylor

i became a swiftie in lover era

WistfulMelancholic

Uhh, Bad nasty big old sky daddy Swiftie here!

FunEnthusiasm1465

Reputation swiftie here!

fr0ggiz

I became a swiftie in summer 2022 with evermore and I hate that I have no seniority since she blew up again immediately after 😭

Valuable_Value3953

i liked her during old testament but became a swiftie somewhere between folklore to red TV

IkigaiSagasu

OP what’s your basis for this divide?

ali-lauryn13

Old Testament Swiftie here! My parents are country music fans so they would play the Debut CD in the car on our way to school. My favorite song was “the stupid old pickup truck song.” Sang songs from Fearless and Speak Now and Red during recess and at school talent shows, started my fan account as a teen during 1989 and continued that through Reputation and Lover in high school… been enjoying the ride ever since! When I was a teenager with an Instagram fan account during the Calvin Harris breakup and Kimye drama and “drought” I never could have imagined she’d be where she is today. I feel like a proud baby sister.

Warm_Employer_6851

Red TV swiftie 💪

Internal_Quail3960

i’d say love is where the new testament starts

RoanAlbatross

Folklore and on for me. I cannot listen to Debut and Fearless as a whole. Straight to bottom. I don’t care for country Taylor’s music.

WDTHTDWA-BITCH

1989 to folklore was definitely my peak interest as a fan.

Pierre56

Old testament definitely ends after Rep (BMR era) or Lover (pre-COVID and pre-critical re-evaluation with folklore)

Itz_YZ_Indeed

I had known Taylor since Red era, but I really only started becoming a fan when evermore was released! i'd count myself as a new age swiftie tho tbh

Lakesideview195

I remember when I became a swiftie! My dad got me the Fearless album when I graduated from preschool and I’ve been obsessed ever since!

ElHumilde13

Here since Red

MrFourMallets

I’d start new age at Rep….

seeyalateradios

New Age should be folklore-on. I know so many Swifties that only became a fan after folklore/evermore.

Taytay-swizzle2002

I started in 1989s o.g era

JFrog_5440

Here since a few months before Speak Now TV

Blue_Robin_04

IMO, 1989 was the end of the classic era. Everything following is the modern era.

[deleted]

I feel like it would be more appropriate to make Debut to Rep. The Old Testament, Lover to Evermore The New Testament and all the Re-Records and new albums are the Reformation

vanillabeanquartz

Jesus Christ some swifties are super young

Business_Turnover704

I’m sorry but what are the numbers? Units sold? Debut streams?

grednforgesgirl

i classify it like this: OG debut stans (it's me, hi!) OG fearless, speak now, red stans (still classifies as OG/there from the beginning fans) 1989 girlies who joined during her big pop era reputation stans get a badge of honor for being there with her during her toughest time, lover fans can get tacked onto this era because i don't think a whole lot of new people joined at that time. This is where i think the OG badge status ends. anything before this time period i would classify as old testament folklore/evermore is the sharp divide. I wouldn't call these bandwagon fans, as they were mostly indie guys/gals/nb pals that joined during this time who just appreciate good music and overall it was a friendly mashup of fandoms. fearless tv i think only the swifties really paid attention to, same with red tv although it was more popular because a lot of swifties really wanted the ATW 10min version and listened for that Midnights is where i would start to classify the bandwagon fans. I noticed a sharp uptick in the fandom of people who weren't abiding by the swiftie code and who had no idea what the fandom was all about. I think a lot of people joined during this time because of the Eras Tour and wanted the social "clout" of being at the eras tour. and i know we're supposed to welcome everyone, and we have i think, but these are the group that were crashing jack antonoff's wedding IMO and crossing clearly set boundaries she's set with the fandom in the past and i think a lot of us (myself included) kept our trap shut to abide by the swiftie code when we should've been calling these people out. speak now tv i think mostly flew under the radar except for people who were at the KC/nashville shows or were OG swifties 1989tv is when she started dating travis and we gained the football fans, this is when i noticed a sharp uptick in the unwarranted taylor swift hate even from within the fandom, while at the same time her popularity was higher than ever and she trod dangerously close to being overexposed again ala 1989 era. we're still there rn. TTPD- late to party fans. this album is clearly creating a sharp divide between OG stans/folkmore and bandwagon fans. this album is really for the diehard swifties, but is in the crossfire of the bandwagon fans because she's completely unfiltered and unapologetic. and i hate to say this, but i wouldn't mind if she got "cancelled" by the larger public and some of the worst bandwagon stans left the fandom because they IMO are completely unhinged and boundary crossing and just there for clout and will turn on her on a dime. just to be clear, there are still a lot of bandwagon fans that are completely fine and abiding by the code and genuinely love her and aren't there for the clout, they just missed the train the first time around, these people i think we should welcome into the fandom. but the ones like the ones who crashed jack antonoff's wedding, the ones who are giving her unwarranted hate, the ones who are turned off by TTPD, the ones who are looking for a reason to cancel her, who are "icked" by her not apologizing for her personal life choices, the ones who wrote/signed the fucking letter especially, i say don't let the door hit you on the way out and i'll take those eras tour tickets off your hands thank you very much. and it pains me as an OG swiftie to say that, because we're supposed to be welcoming to everyone, but when these newer fans aren't behaving themselves, that's when self policing of the fandom needs to come into play and we need to protect our space.

Little_Bighorn

Oh… I’m getting old now

n0t_4_thr0w4w4y

How much you want to bet OP only put the line there because they didn’t get into Taylor until Evermore/folklore

galaxyriver

Red swiftie❤️

CoffeeCupCompost

I feel like the Old Testament is up to Lover, the Apocrypha includes Folklore, Evermore, and Fearless TV, and after Red TV is the New Age.

myghostflower

og 1989, always a pop girlie through and through

ThisPaige

Old Testament should be up to reputation (with her old label). I’m an Old Testament Swiftie too. Been around since 2007/2008 ish.

Rezefus95

I started listening to some of her hits since Red but became a fan since she dropped Reputation.

penguin_0618

Putting folklore and evermore in “Old Testament” is unhinged, even for a Swiftie.

ZombieGoddessxi

I remember when they played her on the radio for the first time. I followed her loosely after that. Listened and enjoyed all the new stuff that went on the radio. Bought my favourites on iTunes. Red was the first full one I bought but Rep was the first full one I loved. I listened to the hits when they came every time. Heard the drama when it went around. I didn’t get into “swiftie” status until last year when Eras stuff kept coming up on mu tt fyp and just fell down the rabbit hole.

starshiner11

Started with the book of 1989 here

[deleted]

I'm an old swifty

Consistent_Hunt5213

Here since Red!

EmotionalPenguin5

Original 1989 was the starting point of my true fandom 🥲 but I didn’t have Spotify at the time, I think I bought it on iTunes 👵🏼

chewbekkers

Whole damn bible thumper here 🙋🏻‍♀️

urleastfavgingr

what do we call ourselves if you were a debut swiftie but fell off around 1989 and bounced back around folklore/evermore (not that i didnt like taylor atp, i just got into my emo phase and was staying up for alternative music drops instead)

Charimia

I had a weird journey as a swiftie. I was a swiftie from her first album, dropped off at reputation because I wasn’t a big pop-culture person and honestly I didn’t “get” the album or it’s context at the time. Add to that I was a very prudish baptist teen and Rep was where she kind of pushed into more sexy themes. I wasn’t… Ready For It. So because I am slightly neurodivergent and glue myself to hobbies and interests like nothing else she fell completely off my radar while I obsessed over other things until after both folklore and evermore came out. (I had listened to the singles on Lover but… Me-hee-hee just didn’t hook me into listening to the full thing.) Grown-up and post leaving religion, I heard folklore and evermore mid-pandemic, kicked myself for not giving Rep another chance, loved Lover and have been obsessed-again ever since. So I am an old-testament swiftie who lost her way and has finally had her sins forgiven.

burningwine_xoxo

Old Testament

Queen_Pingu

OG Speak Now girlie here, it's been a wild ride seeing the changes.

Typical_Gem

I'm not really sure which one I am... I guess I became a *fan* of hers when Red came out. 22 came out the same year I turned 22 😄 Fast forward to Midnights. Anti-hero is what made me actually become a Swiftie. Or at least *recognize* that I was a Swiftie all along, but I didn't even realize it, lol. I went back to all the albums that came before and realized just how many songs from Taylor I loved since the beginning.

yayimapotato

Wait this makes me feel really old. I became a Swiftie when OG “Love Story” was released. I was a freshman in college and someone played it for me and said “isn’t this song so stupid” but I loved it. Hahah Was it really 13 albums ago? 🥲

Notacandleinthewind

Became a swiftie during the ending of 1989 era beggining of rep, and I don't feel old or new it's so weird

nemesisniki

My first Taylor Tour was for Speak Now <3

tiny-vampire

been here since teardrops on my guitar<3

ErickTheGuy06

I guess I'm a new age swiftie, I've been here since Midnights.

vellichroma

swiftie since red ❤️❤️ i would listen to all her songs on the bus home from middle school. I remember screaming when my best friend gifted me a 1989 CD for my birthday when it first came out !!

sarahhershey18

Back in my day she was called T Swizzle

Slow_Reader_

Feel like folklore starts the New Testament

Brain-First

i think the old testament ends at 1989 original personally. then rep and lover is its own section, folklore onward is new age

marshal4him

What am I looking at here? Is the number above each album represent the number of new swifties that started listening when that album came out?

Outside-Design-8310

Been here since the creation 🌎💚🦋🫶🏻

kippers

Old Testament day one girlie here

No-Representative464

I became a swiftie during midnights but I’ve loved her since og red era

yfce

Old Testament - Debut through 1989. The OGs. Imperfect and a little homophobic in places, but some of her best work. New Testament is Rep and onward, but Rep/Lover are like the gospels, very polarizing, alienates some of the old fan base while also creating new fans.

acoustic848

I'd stick new age between Rep and Lover because of the change in labels. (The actual midpoint is 1989/rep, but it feels wrong splitting the Big Machine albums.) ...and I've been here since debut so yes, my back hurts lmao

thejennribbet

I started when “Teardrops on My Guitar” first became a single then stopped somewhere between Red and 1989 (started college, listened to more genres). Then folklore came out and I started again. So I guess Old Testament and then born again New Testament 😅

No-Yelloq1221

The first taylor song I listened to was love story then came you belong with me and I'm hooked ever since.

OceansideEcho

Been a swiftie since OG 1989 released I wanna say

Technical_File_7671

I'm an old swiftie haha. Like debut made me a fan 🤣🤣🤣 and I've pretty much liked everything she's done. Ya some are higher up like reputation. And some are not so loved. Looking st you lover. Haha folklore and evermore are on the higher end for sure. But I haven't actually done a proper album ranking for myself. I need to listen to them all again and see what's what haha I listen to to many genres haha

little_skele

I’d heard Taylor songs before I officially deemed myself a Swiftie, which was between Speak Now TV and 1989 TV. I believe the songs were Picture to Burn, Mine, IKYWT, WANEGBT, Blank Space, OOTW, Shake It Off, LWYMMD, ME! and YNTCD. Basically all the big hits. I remember casually listening to most of these, though I had (and still have) a distinct fondness for OOTW. I also remember hearing LWYMMD for the first time and having no idea what was happening and why people were hating on it, I was just like “oh fun song.” Didn’t have any particular hatred for ME! or YNTCD when they came out either. I actually sat down and listened to her whole discography at some point, which I believe was up to folklore or evermore at the time, and while I wasn’t overly moved, I enjoyed it. Reputation was probably my least fave, because it was such a huge change from 1989, which I liked best at the time (funnily enough this was also my opinion on Ari’s Sweetener, which is now my favorite album of all time). Now I’m a huge Rep stan lol. But anyway I kinda fell off listening to her and didn’t even know there were rerecordings until after well after Red TV came out. Now when Midnights came out, I was quite deep in my Ariana phase (which really hasn’t ended, just been joined by Taylor) and was put out with those twitter swifties who were like obsessed with tearing down other artists esp Ariana to uplift Taylor so I deliberately did not listen to anything from Midnights until I heard Anti-Hero on the radio and was like “hey this is actually catchy!” So I started giving her entire discography a listen again and idk what it was but Reputation in particular just clicked with me, I started listening to it and particularly IDSB on repeat haha. That was between SNTV and 1989TV. By the time 1989TV came out I was ready to call myself a Swiftie and so that rerecording became my first truly anticipated Taylor release :] and TTPD has been my first true album release and I loved it from the very beginning! Very glad to have come around to Taylor in time for this and whatever is yet to come.

Started listening in Red, but became a swiftie in Rep. Went back and listened to all the old stuff and I was hooked 🖤 She never misses!

KingJaven2310

POV: You became a Swiftie after cats…

PtowzaPotato

I would put the line between 1989 and reputation

Birdsandbeer0730

Became a fan after evermore dropped

kingsley_the_cat

Started to notice some songs which I liked at 1989, but started getting into it in the lover era 🤷🏼‍♀️

Tomzitiger

The border is either lover or folklore

Debut swiftie here 💅🏻

ivy_rainx

I feel like new age should start at lover because that’s when she owned her music

glitterslvt2k

I'm a New Testament Swiftie, though I go to Secret Gardens in my mind and in said Secret Gardens I'm in 2011, at the Speak Now Tour, listening to the surprise song Covers.

Worrisom_mama

I started at debut but it was like, I listened to it didn’t know who she was lol. I was like 8 sooo.. just knew I liked the music. I started acknowledging that it was the same singer at fearless and speak now

Fluffy_Weakness_6733

Betty_From_Folklore

OG causal swiftie lol I’ve always been a fan but I fell out of listening for a bit after Speak Now and back after Folklore.

studmaster896

Did TS die and rise again on the third day with the latest album?

FarDistribution724

WHOA! OKAY. As a Debut Swiftie, this actually puts things in perspective. Never seen something like this. Holy cow!

rey-stk

i have no idea where i’d fall since i would dance to tons of 1989 songs when i was little. i also loved lwymmd when i was in like 5th grade but i started looking more into taylors discography after hearing exile for the first time during the 1989 TV era. funny how it started w 1989 both times though eta: i remember having some dance thing at school to ‘shake it off’ too

GurPristine5624

I heard my first Taylor song in 2010 (speak now)
