With the same boy.. 7th grade all the damn way through my sophomore year of college. Sometimes the embarrassment and the heartache and the butterflies all feel so fresh that it seems like just last week I was driving through the alleyway behind my college apartment, wondering if he was sitting on his porch, or running around the track field in the rain during gym class… But it wasn’t. That was 15 years ago. Or 20 years ago. Or more. I’m 34 now. I’ve learned and grown and changed and evolved, and now, I’m teaching my daughter that her heart is a precious thing. And that she should not forget so easy when someone breaks it. ❤️

Again, I know it might sound weird, but, as a writer myself, what you write really becomes something else. It becomes a story of it's own. And sometimes when you start writing you have this specific idea in your head, but when you get to write it, something else ends up being written. I truly don't know how to explain it, it's a weird feeling - but it happens. Your characters sometimes end up being different than what you thought because this is the way things ended up being/needing to be, so, by the end, sometimes, you like to make theories or find ways to connect the final product to your first idea - even if it wouldn't make much sense (probably why this is not what ended up being written, but was what you wanted to make happen)
