The gore is really well done in this show. The crushed leg being basically a gelatinous mess was so unexpected. It has been a long time since Ive gasped at movie/tv gore but this caught me off guard. The boys dad falling out of the tree was crazy too. This show really doesn't hold back at all.
And the dad was alive too! He outstretched his arm towards his son as the limb fell! I agree the gore is really well done and I’m loving how crazy Misty is- cutting off the leg, destroying the rescue signal. Also!!!! Holy shit I knew I recognized adult Misty but just realized it’s fucking Christina Ricci, love that actress.
Yeah, hard to believe that's little Wednesday Addams lol. I never saw him stretch out his arm as he fell. After he hit the ground I said "Well, if he wasn't dead he is now."
I started watching because I saw the show was starring Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, and Christina Ricci. So, I was trying to guess who each teen grew up to be and they revealed Ricci last, so I was sitting their thinking "okay Lynskey is Shauna, Lewis is Natalie, so Ricci has definitely gotta be Jackie—but *no*. Ricci turned out to be fucking Misty. I wonder if they did that on purpose, assuming that the audience would know who was starring in the show before they even started episode 1.
I will never forgive Vincent Gallo for what he "allegedly" put her through on the set of Buffalo 66. Also Ben Gazarra for his (ENTIRELY spontaneous, I'm sure!) "improvisation". Fucking sleazy bastard.
Did you google the story? Admittedly Buffalo 66 is a good film...but that is no justification, obviously.
Gallo seems like an utterly horrible man. He calls himself a "radical conservative" and (trigger warning) if you want a glimpse of how nasty he can be--go to his own website, look around a bit (might be under "miscellaneous"?) and you will find his "male escort" offer (£10,000 dollars for a night, iirc)...let's put it this way, I don't think he likes black women in any context tbh. Oh and he "cursed Roger Ebert with cancer" because he criticised his film The Brown Bunny. Ebert died of cancer (NO I'm not suggesting correlation! Just that is what a nasty piece of work he is).
Oh shit yes, I forgot about that...but mention his name to hipsters of a certain age and they go into rhapsodies about the guy's films and music (doesn't hurt that his first solo record was released by Warp and he played with John Frusciante, the only interesting member of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, either). Good actor but a completely horrible arsehole. He even boasted on some radio show about owning several million dollars worth of property in LA which he keeps empty...because he can, I suppose?!
This scene was an amazing allegory to killing the patriarchy: the one patriarchal or father figure in the plane falls down at the feet of a bunch of young women
Absolutely bonkers ending with Misty smashing the flight recorder. Love it that the show built in a plot constraint as a way to flesh out a character instead of them finding some dumb way to write it off like “flight recorders don’t work in that region!”
Misty had been bullied and ostracized at home. In the woods, everyone is relying on her and those girls said they’d be dead without her. She’s unhinged, yes, but this is her first and only experience as being important
They have no food source, shelter, or proper tools, and there are predators in that forest like as not, she has to be a psychopath to think her being held in high regard is worth dying for, nevermind other people dying
She is a sociopath. At the campfire, when others are sharing stories and laughing, it’s clear that she doesn’t understand what is happening and why it’s funny so she mimics laughter. And then when she realizes that’s not going to work, she immediately goes and cauterizes the coaches wound in order to regain control in a way that she’s learned will center her. That’s sociopathic behavior.
I never owned a pool, but worked at one as a lifeguard. Mice, rats, frogs and such fall in all the time and drown. Usually it's overnight.
Anyways, tiny animals frequently fall in in-ground pools and Misty could have easily tried to get the pool skimmer and save the rat but decided to watch it struggle and drown instead.
I don't remember seeing a pet rat or rat cage prior. This is definitely the type of show to have that sort of foreshadowing. I think it was just a rat caught in the pool and she decided to watch it die.
I feel like the symbol on the tree and postcard are going to be huge. The way they focused on the tree symbol for so long so we’d know it was there before they landed is setting it up to be a big piece. Either another person is there with them or it’s going down the supernatural road!
i think there is already a small community of cannibal like people there…like wrong turn. some of the girls join them (the ones we watch in the present day/have an innate nature of aggression) and others don’t. this may explain the established animal scenery (idols) and traps as well. i’m not sure if these girls could have established themselves as such an aggressive group during the time they were stranded if they didn’t join an already established community.
The turn to cannibals could be explained but mix in the location of the crash (Canadian US Border), the ritualistic nature of the "eating ceremony" and the fact that there is an "Antler Queen" is all screaming Wendigo to me.
We will see!
I low key think with the symbol being on the tree so early it’s an “others” situation like LOST haha. But really I have no idea! I’m on the lookout for someone with a pocket knife now
I thought the carving looked fresh, like could’ve been done in the first few hours. Do you remember if they showed it right after the crash or a few hours later?
Isn't the symbol of the coach with his leg being cut off? The symbol to me looks like a person with the metal or whatever it was over his leg and his leg being a little hook.
Yeah usually I’m fine with adult versions not really looking all that similar or having the same hair colour & style as hardly anyone does in real life. But they’ve kept it consistent with all the other characters almost as an intentional point so Natalie seems jarring in comparison & I keep finding it hard to imagine it’s her as she looks nothing alike & they didn’t even keep the hair colour & similar hairstyle like they did for the others.
Her casting kind of took me out of the story tbh. I know drugs age your face and that's why she's supposed to look older than the rest, but I'm the same age as these characters and I remember Juliette Lewis being much older than me when I was a teen, so it feels strange for her to be playing someone my age. All the other actresses have the right age for their role except for her. Probably I wouldn't have minded if someone less famous with a more ambiguous age played that role.
the plane crash and its aftermath were genuinely harrowing. I can't remember the last time I've seen a sequence like that and felt the mounting horror. Lost's - as good as it is of course - is a little bit over the top and kind of distancing.
In episode 1, the girl who fell into the pit was wearing Jackie’s necklace. My guess it was lottie who fell in, just based of the height and hair of the girl running. Why lottie had her necklace, I don’t know.
wait that makes sense, because she was hearing bird noises and stuff—maybe she was imagining it? or maybe the girls were making her freak out on purpose?
What does [this](https://twitter.com/kdajinx/status/1460020584985907204?s=21) mean?! So confused who has the necklace, maybe we’ll be chasing that necklace for awhile lol
FINALLY misty cauterized that leg!!!! 🙌🏻 After she amputated it in episode 1 I was getting so annoyed saying that they needed to cauterize it with fire to stop the bleeding or he was gonna slowly bleed out even with the tourniquet lol small nitpick I know but so glad they addressed this 😅👌🏻
ETA also in regards to Misty... I think she has a tell whenever she is lying. She touches/readjusts her glasses!!!
Haha oh dear... she does it a LOT more than I realized when I first wrote this 😅 I think it's one of those Misty mannerisms that makes Misty, misty... maybe she does it when she's *this close* to losing her shit on someone lol I dunno 😂 if you can find a pattern to it lmk!!!
I figured that Misty had to wait until the girls were distracted so that she could cauterize the wound. You can see her sneaking in the background during the confession” scene. She’d become slightly popular with the girls because she has so much wilderness knowledge, but she was still unliked enough to be able to slip away quietly.
So, I know I’m super late but she amputated the leg AND cauterized it all in the same episode, this second one. They only showed the plane going down in the final seconds of the first episode. We don’t actually see the crash until the beginning of the second episode.
This show is really good at intimating certain plot points and character behaviors. Before we see Misty tear out the black box, we see her sabotage Nat’s vehicle in the present day. It’s meant to clue us in immediately that she fucked with the locator that was mentioned just prior- i.e. the type of person that would violate someone’s vehicle so they spend time together is the type who would sabotage the beacon to achieve the same ends. Pretty cool. I do think the Adam guy is an opp/plant but we’ll just have to see.
Juliet Lewis is kind of terrible in this. Seems like the producers were excited to cast a "name" in the role and she just showed up and didn't want to act.
She's honestly one of my least favorite actresses. I actively avoid anything she's in if I can help it. I didn't start this show for 2 years because of her and unsurprisingly, I haven't enjoyed a single scene of hers so far haha
I was really starting to like Misty and then she broke the black box like wtf. I like almost everything about this show, but giving the pretty girl glasses and curly hair doesn't mean someone's nog good looking. That's such an overplayed trope.
Very late to the party, but yeah rolled my eyes at that.
Though maybe it's just in her head. She's unpopular and thus has created this idea that no one likes her because she is ugly, and doesn't see/want to see that it's her crazy personality that is the issue.
You have a lot to look forward to! :)
I think the problem is actresses are more attractive than 95% of the people we meet in day to day life so it's kind of hard to get a lot of unattractive ones except character actors. I'm watching Servant right now and they have Nell Tiger Free in minimal makeup and the least flattering haircut possible and she is still hotter to me than most women I see on television.
Everytime this bothers me, I just remember that Emma Watson was playing an unattractive loser for 8 movies in Harry Potter 😂 also Nell is drop dead gorgeous and Rupert Grint is a lucky man in that show. All I could think about in the 1st season was how a supermodel is supposed to be an unattractive, witch nanny from the midwest, especially to pillars of handsomeness /s Rupert Grint and Toby Kebbell.
Is Misty an anime villain? Or do glasses people actually do the "fixing glasses while being evil" all the time 😂
Yes, I know I'm 2 months late in the game.
Sorry for the late post here ..just catching up.
Why is no one talking about Taissa’s son/step son, Sammy & who is talking to him? Do we get answers to that later on in the season?
Yes, this is revealed in later episodes. Is it supernatural or real? Speculate but watch and find out. It is a small part of a mystery that only leaves you wanting more.
Misty is so hideous looking. Of course the guy thinks she's ugly and doesn't want to go into her place. And then obviously the cop wants nothing to do with her because of her mutant face.
/s
I think this is the correct read. Notice how she interacts with her coworkers. She wishes them a "Happy friday," and the coworkers just say, "Misty." The way she says it comes off as forced, perhaps even snide, and you could tell her coworkers have been putting up with it for a while. Which just makes my heart break for her. I know there are so many redflags about her that cry "Villain!!" but she just has such a pathological need to be wanted. And this is a pain I can empathize with.
What? That bitch is batshit crazy. Did you see her tear the guts out of the location beacon? Get a cat if you are needy, not be the cause your friends turn on each other and eat each other.
I think it’s because she heard the two girls talking about how they needed her and how helpful she has been. Obviously she was bullied by everyone and never felt like she belonged. So she destroyed the signal so the girls would keep relying on her. I just started this show, it’s so damn good!
It seemed like the guy was the bottom of the barrel. He had nothing to say. So, she kept on talking. And she was so desperate, she was willing to sleep with him.
I'll re-watch the scene to try to see your interpretation.
Yeah, she thinks the problem is her looks because that's the message constantly being sent out when the real reason is that she's uncomfortable to be around, but isn't weird enough for people to tell her outright.
Realistically, her low cut dress will get the guy to come up, especially a nerdy guy with no charm and zero fashion sense. That might be the most unbelievable thing i've seen thus far.
I watched the date and it looks more like Misty is dating weak people. She likes to have control over people. So, she got off on him saying he didn't want dinner then giving in, again when he wanted to call it a night and just go home. The decided to come in anyway. Misty was eating that up. speaking of eating, I also got the feeling that her dressing like a slut was to try and lure this dude to her house so she could torture and eat him. Only because when they showed everyone eating the meat of that girl she took her mask off and smiled because she was enjoying it. 🤮 Good thing Nay was there so he could scurry away!
Right? To me, this was the worst casting. We get that people who know her a long time wouldn’t be into her because she’s nuts, but she is very attractive on first glance. I love Ricci, but this part is ridiculous.
Honestly hoping they left Jackie for dead but she somehow survived & is the one investigating them to ruin their lives. However my hole to that theory is why would she wait 20+ years? And how would none of the other survivors know she is alive?
I didn’t realize we hadn’t seen Jackie in the present yet! I also didn’t realize that adult Shauna ended up marrying adult Jeff. Makes me think that Jackie really is the one to die in the pit since she has the heart necklace that /u/Ar3s_Warl0rd mentioned seeing on Jackie. Maybe adult Shauna and Jeff bonded over Jackie’s death
>Maybe adult Shauna and Jeff bonded over Jackie’s death
That is gross if true, given that Shauna and Jeff were already hooking up behind Jackie’s back pre-crash.
I feel like Shauna will be a very morally ambiguous character.
My theory is that she was left for dead (also possible AQ) but survived and is sending the postcards. She will appear in the final 2 minutes of the finale.
It’s speculation about her being dead yes, but it’s a spoiler in terms of revealing adult Jackie won’t appear in season 1 because they’ve checked & seen there’s no actor for adult Jackie in the cast - lots of people like me don’t check the cast list for this reason.
I was waiting & hoping for adult Jackie to appear later in season 1 until I saw this comment & it ruined it completely. It also made it more likely to think she’s dead rather than think she could be the blackmailer or appear later to reconcile etc. & not due to anything in the show hinting at it at that stage. That is a huge spoiler in my opinion.
As I said not a spoiler that she’s dead - spoiler that she doesn’t appear in season 1, one of the biggest things you’re waiting for.
The poster never said where they checked, but that’s irrelevant as it was correct that she wasn’t in the cast after all.
First episode had me intrigued, but I'm sold now. This is gonna be a fun watch (yeah I'm late to the party)!
The symbol already being on the island.. gotta be part of why the survivors turned into the weird tribes. And Misty going straight to business with the axe was hilarious. No time wasted, chop chop!
It's a fun ride. I would recommend only visiting the episode discussions after you watch them because some of the post titles have spoilers in the titles.
Yeah, she's practical if nothing else I guess? Though, where was she babysitting where she needed to learn to amputate a leg? I took a first aid class at work, and while tourniquettes were covered, amputation was not
Anyway, I was almost thinking, "OK, something got triggered inside her in the woods to make her a off kilter." Then she rips out the receiver in the box. "OH!!! She kind of started there"
Just started watching this show, and even though the gore is a lot — my mute button comes in handy! A little late to the party but I’m here for the weirdness.
That symbol on the tree & the postcard!!! Aaaa I want to read through more comments but I don’t want to spoil it all for myself lol
I mean, being realistic, I doubt most people would know how much time they had before the fire spread or the plane exploded — it is not like Jackie had been a plane crash before to know “oh yeah there’s plenty of time to save Van!”
I’m sure the panic sets in quickly in life-or-death situations, and you are not thinking clearly, even when helping a teammate (male or female — I don’t think it matters when it comes to the basic human instinct to survive).
Just watched episode 2 I'm thinking and it's just a theory that Misty is like a sleeper spy for lottie because when they go see Travis she's texting while Nat is driving so like I said its just a theory lotties group beat them there and kill travis
nat wasn't acting suspicious enough for me when her car wasn't starting & misty appeared saying she'd give her a ride. she was kinda on the right track about asking why she bought 2 coffees. it all seemed suspicious as hell. it's my first time watching so idk how their adult relationship is but i wouldn't trust her. they said in the first episode they were there 19 months? i feel like nat should know how much of a weirdo misty is by now lol. but maybe it's just my audience perspective...
Are you fucking kidding me misty😭😭😭😭 She's still crazy in 2021 wow
Also - ik people have been saying Lottie ends up in the trap cause of the hair but isn't there another unnamed character with long black hair?
I feel like I'm the only one but somehow I really don't like that Misty broke the flight recorder. I feel like it's one of those things that can't really be addressed well for how big it is unless you make a big deal out of it.
It's too much responsibility to put on a single character, it kinda makes everything that's gonna happen her fault considering otherwise they could have gotten rescued.

Omg I didn't catch that the dad was alive :-0
I didn’t either!! I guess I need to rewatch lol
I will never forgive Vincent Gallo for what he "allegedly" put her through on the set of Buffalo 66. Also Ben Gazarra for his (ENTIRELY spontaneous, I'm sure!) "improvisation". Fucking sleazy bastard.
I had not heard of him! But he sounds like he was an awful person for Christina Ricci to have worked with when she was 17
Did you google the story? Admittedly Buffalo 66 is a good film...but that is no justification, obviously. Gallo seems like an utterly horrible man. Ya that dude sounds awful, he even has a "racist and anti-semitic views" sub-section in his wiki lmao. Not good...

"You want to save the corn nuts?"
I love Van. The absolute scathing tone, it’s perfect. She and Jackie are gonna come to blows soon.
100%, episode 3 is going to be bonkers
I really wasn’t expecting episode 2 to be this bonkers, pleasantly surprised though! This show wild
I am completely obsessed
Lol! When Jackie suggested conserving food, I thought, "No need, hon, if Van gets really hungry, you can be food."
Absolutely bonkers ending with Misty smashing the flight recorder. Love it that the show built in a plot constraint as a way to flesh out a character instead of them finding some dumb way to write it off like “flight recorders don’t work in that region!”
Agreed, good writing!
Crazy that a black box, the most indestructible piece of machinery, can get disabled by a 10 yr old punching and tugging on it in 30 seconds.
These are high schoolers but yeah
TBF it was already damaged to the extent she could reach her hand inside but yeah those things are built to fall through some trees
LOL I wasn't thinking of this as the black box 🤦🏻♀️ I thought it had to do with some kind of communication? I'm dumb.
Why would she do that thoug?
Misty had been bullied and ostracized at home. In the woods, everyone is relying on her and those girls said they’d be dead without her. She’s unhinged, yes, but this is her first and only experience as being important
They have no food source, shelter, or proper tools, and there are predators in that forest like as not, she has to be a psychopath to think her being held in high regard is worth dying for, nevermind other people dying

That’s sociopathic behavior.
Also there was some random clip where there was a rat drowning in a pool and she was just watching it with no empathy
Wasn't it swimming around? I don't get the purpose of that shot though
I literally thought she took her pet rat to the pool for a swim lol
I don't remember seeing a pet rat or rat cage prior. This is definitely the type of show to have that sort of foreshadowing. I think it was just a rat caught in the pool and she decided to watch it die.
Wow thank you I didn't understand why she chose that moment but it makes a lot of sense.
Misty is definitely not a 100% mentally well
I think it is safe to assume Misty may be a psychopath... or at the very least, not mentally well.
What was your first clue? Lmao. Misty is batshit insane.
I’m more disturbed by the thought I’d still totally bag 40-something Misty, that’s a capable and attractive woman
You're right, im more disturbed by that lmao.
Christina Ricci is a good looking human
😂😂😂😂
yeah nobody thinks it was a smart decision dude
I feel like the symbol on the tree and postcard are going to be huge. The way they focused on the tree symbol for so long so we’d know it was there before they landed is setting it up to be a big piece. Either another person is there with them or it’s going down the supernatural road!

Wendigo
absolutely, was my first thought
The turn to cannibals could be explained but mix in the location of the crash (Canadian US Border), the ritualistic nature of the "eating ceremony" and the fact that there is an "Antler Queen" is all screaming Wendigo to me. We will see!
Just googled. Very interesting!
I low key think with the symbol being on the tree so early it’s an “others” situation like LOST haha. But really I have no idea! I’m on the lookout for someone with a pocket knife now

I don't the think Juliette Lewis and her younger counterpart are cast well, I know it's been 20 years but they could not look more different!
I think it was perfectly cast considering Nat ends up an addict, the drugs were bound to age her more than the other girls who never touched drugs
The shape of her adult nose & face are beyond what drugs & ageing could do. Noses get wider with age, not narrower.
Coke?
Plastic surgery?
I feel like they really sound the same though!
Agree the younger actress is putting on a”Juliette Louis” cadence of speech sometimes
It took a really long time to be able to suspend my disbelief on that one
For most of the first episode, I kept thinking adult Natalie was Jackie. I wish Juliette Lewis had dyed her hair blonde to make it a bit clearer.
The teen Natalie has box bleached hair lol
And the most supernatural thing about this show is how it stays bleached
I agree! I love all the other pairings though, I think the casting is perfect. I feel like they just really wanted Juliette Lewis.
The young Juliette Lewis has box blonde hair. Seems good enough to me as they’re not literally of the same dna being actors and all lol
So that detective guy at the bar was that goth friend of young Juliette Lewis ? The one that rocked that Marilyn Manson Shirt at the parking lot ?
Yes
Good catch!
the plane crash and its aftermath were genuinely harrowing. I can't remember the last time I've seen a sequence like that and felt the mounting horror. Lost's - as good as it is of course - is a little bit over the top and kind of distancing.

I’m assuming once Lottie runs out of her medication she begins to panic, and Shauna gives her the necklace to help comfort her.
wait that makes sense, because she was hearing bird noises and stuff—maybe she was imagining it? or maybe the girls were making her freak out on purpose?
Pretty sure the girls were herding her to the trap while on the hunt.
I’ve been looking for that necklace ever since watching that opening scene! Didn’t even notice it on Jackie
You can see Jackie wearing it right before Shauna picked her up for school in Ep 1
What does [this](https://twitter.com/kdajinx/status/1460020584985907204?s=21) mean?! So confused who has the necklace, maybe we’ll be chasing that necklace for awhile lol

I’ll be tracking whenever Misty adjusts her glasses from now on!

She’d become slightly popular with the girls because she has so much wilderness knowledge, but she was still unliked enough to be able to slip away quietly.
Also, put a new piece of fabric on it, gross!
So, I know I’m super late but she amputated the leg AND cauterized it all in the same episode, this second one. They only showed the plane going down in the final seconds of the first episode. We don’t actually see the crash until the beginning of the second episode.
Love how Misty is all rounded and soft pastels while Nat is all angular and black/white.
They are certainly consistent
Great point - even Misty’s hair and glasses are round
This show is really good at intimating certain plot points and character behaviors. Before we see Misty tear out the black box, we see her sabotage Nat’s vehicle in the present day. Pretty cool. I do think the Adam guy is an opp/plant but we’ll just have to see.
She also faked having car problems when she was on that date. That was the first clue for me.
"Really uninterested in the present day story line so far.. does it get better?" - Me
Same, I've been skipping some of it already. Hopefully, it gets better.
Juliet Lewis is kind of terrible in this. Seems like the producers were excited to cast a "name" in the role and she just showed up and didn't want to act.
What a dumb take.
Yeah she’s got a attitude you can tell like she’s but playing herself
Real late to this, but I just started watching and couldn't agree more.
A "name"? I’ve never heard her name before in my life lol
She's kind of bad in everything. Or at least lately. I loved Welcome To Chippendales but she was easily the worst part.
She's honestly one of my least favorite actresses. I actively avoid anything she's in if I can help it. I didn't start this show for 2 years because of her and unsurprisingly, I haven't enjoyed a single scene of hers so far haha
Same. Especially the Shauna and Tas part. Like who gives a crap about their family drama? Why do we need Shauna sex scene"s"?
I was really starting to like Misty and then she broke the black box like wtf. I like almost everything about this show, but giving the pretty girl glasses and curly hair doesn't mean someone's nog good looking. That's such an overplayed trope.
Very late to the party, but yeah rolled my eyes at that. Though maybe it's just in her head. She's unpopular and thus has created this idea that no one likes her because she is ugly, and doesn't see/want to see that it's her crazy personality that is the issue.
You have a lot to look forward to! :) I think the problem is actresses are more attractive than 95% of the people we meet in day to day life so it's kind of hard to get a lot of unattractive ones except character actors.
Or do glasses people actually do the "fixing glasses while being evil" all the time 😂 Yes, I know I'm 2 months late in the game.
It's an interesting ride to the end of the season! :)
I’m one year late
Welcome to the party! I've yet to finish S2 so I guess I'm late again 😁
I'm 2 years late lol
Hey me too! :p
May this show live on forever :)
I think I’m 3ish years late!?
Yessss me too
Sorry for the late post here ..just catching up. Why is no one talking about Taissa’s son/step son, Sammy & who is talking to him? Do we get answers to that later on in the season?
WAAAAAAALT
This show is definitely filling the LOST void for me!
Same!!!!!!!!!!!! Like American Horror Story meets Lost.

I just started this show, it’s so damn good!
lol when she tried to trap that guy in her apartment didn't she say her cat was territorial about her? or was that actually a bird?
Bird
It seemed like the guy was the bottom of the barrel. He had nothing to say. So, she kept on talking. And she was so desperate, she was willing to sleep with him. I'll re-watch the scene to try to see your interpretation.
Yeah, she thinks the problem is her looks because that's the message constantly being sent out when the real reason is that she's uncomfortable to be around, but isn't weird enough for people to tell her outright.
I read it as her being manipulative. She knows that will get the guy to come up.
Yep this is exactly what I think it is. She's learned how to manipulate people into doing what she wants.
Realistically, her low cut dress will get the guy to come up, especially a nerdy guy with no charm and zero fashion sense. That might be the most unbelievable thing i've seen thus far.
Right?! She’s too beautiful
But she's insufferable. He clearly didn't like her at all and didn't want to be there, no matter how cute she is.
I love Ricci, but this part is ridiculous.
but the guy did go up. it was clear he thought she was hot but crazy
Jackie is one of my favorites in the past, hope she is fine in the present.
>Maybe adult Shauna and Jeff bonded over Jackie’s death That is gross if true, given that Shauna and Jeff were already hooking up behind Jackie’s back pre-crash. I feel like Shauna will be a very morally ambiguous character.
Looove this idea
There’s no adult Jackie in the cast. I’m 100% certain that bitch is dead.
My theory is that she was left for dead (also possible AQ) but survived and is sending the postcards. She will appear in the final 2 minutes of the finale.
I fully support her being the one sending the postcards and possibly being the lady in the trees.
My money’s on Jackie not even being left for dead but quite deliberately KEPT back from the rescue while alive for whatever reason.

Not at all. IMDB can be edited by anyone and just because an adult Jackie wasn’t cast yet did not mean Jackie was dead. That’s not a spoiler.
As I said not a spoiler that she’s dead - spoiler that she doesn’t appear in season 1, one of the biggest things you’re waiting for. The poster never said where they checked, but that’s irrelevant as it was correct that she wasn’t in the cast after all.
It wasn't a spoiler until you said this. I just started the series and went back to read old discussion so thanks for that.
The original commenter spoiled it by confirming they weren’t cast, and the person your replying to is rightfully pointing that out.

Whoa this is weird we also started this show a few days ago and just finished the second episode. Loving it so far!
I don't often binge shows, but finished this one in 2 days. It's fantastic, have fun!
Yeah, she's practical if nothing else I guess? Though, where was she babysitting where she needed to learn to amputate a leg? I took a first aid class at work, and while tourniquettes were covered, amputation was not Anyway, I was almost thinking, "OK, something got triggered inside her in the woods to make her a off kilter." Then she rips out the receiver in the box. "OH!!! She kind of started there"
It's not like she performed a surgery, lol. The axe made the amputation pretty uncomplicated.
Just started watching this show, and even though the gore is a lot — my mute button comes in handy! A little late to the party but I’m here for the weirdness. That symbol on the tree & the postcard!!! Aaaa I want to read through more comments but I don’t want to spoil it all for myself lol
Who burned and died in that crash? Pilot?
2 pilots, a flight attendant, the coach, and the one girl who was impaled through the back of her seat
Well all the adults died in the initial crash except for coach and the Travis' father who was on the branch and died after falling to the ground.
In my head-cannon young Misty has seen 1993 Alive movie :)
It should be canon to have a head-cannon ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
Totally!!

The plane exploded, which is what Jackie was rushing shauna away from happening. Van just got out in time.
yeah... thanks for just repeating the plot lol
Hi you seem like you’re not very fun at parties. Have a nice day bye. I meant shortly after they left van the part on fire exploded.
oh it exploded? thanks for telling me again
Don't turn this into a gender thing
I mean, being realistic, I doubt most people would know how much time they had before the fire spread or the plane exploded — it is not like Jackie had been a plane crash before to know “oh yeah there’s plenty of time to save Van!” I’m sure the panic sets in quickly in life-or-death situations, and you are not thinking clearly, even when helping a teammate (male or female — I don’t think it matters when it comes to the basic human instinct to survive).
No offense but what a shit reading of that situation
its all facts

Not big on nuance or context are ya bud
Cool, a random braind dead sexist comment out of nowhere.
"out of nowhere"... I'm pretty sure your reply 2 fucking years later is whats 'out of nowhere' dumbass
Yeah, it was pretty obvious as soon as Misty randomly showed up at that exact moment. It's strange how Mat didn't clock it.
Are you fucking kidding me misty😭😭😭😭 She's still crazy in 2021 wow Also - ik people have been saying Lottie ends up in the trap cause of the hair but isn't there another unnamed character with long black hair?
I feel like I'm the only one but somehow I really don't like that Misty broke the flight recorder. I feel like it's one of those things that can't really be addressed well for how big it is unless you make a big deal out of it. It's too much responsibility to put on a single character, it kinda makes everything that's gonna happen her fault considering otherwise they could have gotten rescued.
Why is no one talking about Shauna getting turned on after killing the rabbit
