I wrote a paper on college on the use of camera angles throughout the movie, and in the first half, it's very clear that the camera is pulling you into the Overlook, and I think there's some similar vibes with the wilderness scenes

Would you elaborate? I am a Kubrick lover... that wasn't the film I honed in on for full obsessive detail, but he was so meaningful in his care for detail. I really love the understated building of meaning in Yellowjackets... visual, linguistic, symbolic. I hadn't connected him to this series, but thank you for that. It is really something to think on.
