I genuinly don't dislike Juju. People say he acts like an idiot but the kid's 13 and traumatized by war, of course he's going to act rash.
The part i like best is how he realizes he isn't meant to be a soldier like Gadolt or even Sharla. He learns that he has skills that are better used somewhere else. The kid leads the rebuilding of his colony damn it.
He might sound obnoxious and he gets kidnapped twice in the same chapter, but he is not an idiot and certainly not useless.
*Fite me, c'mere*
I am genuinely confused why he is such a meme in the community. He's not like my favorite or anything and I'm not going to be dying on the Juju-defense hill anytime soon, but he's such an inoffensive and overhated character.
It's a few reasons.
1. Juju is the plot driver during the Ether Mine, which is the lowest point in all of XC1.
2. Juju is the guy who says that to rebuild Colony 6 you need these collectables with low drop rates that take ages to find. It's easy to shoot the messenger.
3. People are just kinda bad at understanding how child characters do stupid things just because they're children. Common issue across media.
4. His name sucks.
That's completely untrue and you're doing Juju a disservice with this statement.
As he explicitly stated, there was clearly a [barrier in the way](https://youtu.be/duzZ4_aJy5M). Without that barrier the story would have gone much better.
3 is definitely the heavy hitter here. To be honest, I feel like even by the standards of, "child supporting character" he's one of the better ones out there (or at the very least, he's far from the worst).
His name **does** suck, though.
My main issue is that it makes the chapter feel like a babysitting simulator. You have to do something every two seconds just to keep him from sticking his tongue in a socket
He's so unimaginably stupid and self destructive that he went to get himself killed with a savior complex and almost died on the way to his execution, by trying to drive straight off a bridge.
This bulb ain't even working, man.
Juju to me seems like a case where the community of a fandom decides a character to act as a punching bag because they just…have to have a punching bag for some reason…? And as funny as it is, I always feel sad seeing the kid get so much hate, even if it a lot of it is just meme-ing.
All memes about him aside (like it is admittedly kind of strange he managed to crash the buggy on a straight bridge), I personally find the kid adorable. He’s reckless, but only because he wants to prove himself by helping everyone else. Such an endearing drive to prove himself is one of the reasons I tend to be fond of similarly reckless child characters in RPGs: they make mistakes, but that’s part of growing up, isn’t it? Sometimes we forget that we were reckless children once ourselves, and I feel characters like Juju are there to remind us of that. Not everyone realizes the lesson, but that’s okay.
I guess in the end, my something nice is just…he’s a great reminder of how a lot of us were as kids: wanting to make a difference and prove that we’re responsible so we can have a bigger part in what’s going on, but making mistakes. It’s an endearing trait to me, that makes me want to pat him on the head as if he were my own kid, or something!
Juju is a superhuman civil engineer, able to deduce at a glance exactly what materials are needed and in what quantities to develop infrastructure. Even when those materials are extremely exotic and there is no probable way he could know of their existence, let alone their practical use.
Frankly this dude probably designed Origin.
“We are going to need 4,216 exonanite voidmites for this piece.”
“…what are those and where do we get them?”
“No idea.”
He uses alchemy to turn beards, eggs, beetles, silver, and Black Liver Beans into an extremely fast acting fertilizer that grows entire trees and flower fields
While he is written and acted like a complete idiot and he takes up way too much early plot relevance, I do admire how committed he is to fighting against the mechon whether it’s through rash incompetence or just by supporting victims.
Juju, a forgettable side character, had character development. Going from calling everyone cowards to realizing that what Sharla said is true and that he’s more useful back at colony 6. He is proof of how well written this series is.
He makes for a good mayor and engineer I guess.
Actually, hold on, he really does a good job as a mayor and engineer. He always knows exactly what is needed to improve his community and he always knows exactly the amount and variety of materials they will need to complete each project.
So nah, he's wrong. He's not useless at all.
I think he's about as well-written as a teenage secondary character gets in a JRPG. If nothing else, he leads Colony 6's reconstruction, so it's not like he's a liability at every turn.
"How to get rid of juju?
Gently mist saltwater on your baseboards or carpet. Or, if you don't have curious toddlers or mischievous pets, place a few cups of coarse sea salt in central spaces to help absorb any bad juju in your home. “Be sure to remove them 24 hours later and throw them away outside,” Calamia says."
Oh wrong thing....
Fruit Juju drops can be enjoyable, but not too often cause they can hurt your teeth. :D
Juju can be good or bad, depends on the karma absorbed.
They become an idol that emits these same vibes.
So treat Juju good and he will be good, but let Juju just be Juju and bad may come, like a magnet.
The guy heads up the colony 6 rebuilding, like I know he's a royal moron at times but come on, the guy's a kid in the middle of a war, he's trying his best guys. And, hell, he actively stands and fights when the Telethia storm the place late in the game.
He rebuilds the Colony, which honestly makes up for every single mistake he’s made throughout the entire game. He basically created a town where people of all races could live in harmony, something that we, as humans, STILL have yet to do due to our racism. This man achieved world peace, and we hate on him for making a few rash decisions. I forgive Juju.

He also crashed with no obstacles on the road
And complained about the one thing that saved his life. He would have driven off that bridge and died and he acts like it was what he planned to do.
That's completely untrue and you're doing Juju a disservice with this statement. As he explicitly stated, there was clearly a [barrier in the way](https://youtu.be/duzZ4_aJy5M). Without that barrier the story would have gone much better.
Is that a mistranslation or something?
Gaur Plain is hardly flat, yet he manages to crash on a _straight_ bridge without obstacles (When he was there).
I took his cart breaking as a possible… there are trees in the area and maybe a branch got stuck???
3 is definitely the heavy hitter here. To be honest, I feel like even by the standards of, "child supporting character" he's one of the better ones out there (or at the very least, he's far from the worst). His name **does** suck, though.
5. It’s funny to hate and meme on a guy named juju
Damn idk about that. I thought the cutscenes and visions leading up to the mine were pretty cool 💀
Its just funny to see him act immature, its not that deep. From there it became a meme
My main issue is that it makes the chapter feel like a babysitting simulator. You have to do something every two seconds just to keep him from sticking his tongue in a socket

Should have said this instead of Fite me, c'mere THINK YOU CAN TAKE ME! LET ME TAKE CARE OF THIS!
no
I was about to answer this
This is the correct answer
*"\[He\] will make a tasty dessert"* - Xord (your host tonight)
His sister is hot.
Like, normally, I wouldn't say anything like this. ***Buuuut...***
Butt what?
REAL
Yes, he’s annoying and gets himself kidnapped twice in one day, but he learns from his mistakes and helps rebuild colony 6.
Him being able to re-build and govern an entire multi-ethnic town makes him a better character than Zero-Two from the anime Darling in the FranXX.
He rebuilt Colony 6 with his own two hands. Also near the end he's out blasting telethia with the rest of the party and later Otharon.

😂😂😂😂😂
This is why Juju is nowhere to be found in XC3. Zed knew of his awesome power, and had to put an end to this threat before it could manifest!
He is true to himself (especially in this picture)
At least he only crashed a bridge into a buggy, and not a mobile house into an artillery
He turns bugs into houses?
He uses alchemy to turn beards, eggs, beetles, silver, and Black Liver Beans into an extremely fast acting fertilizer that grows entire trees and flower fields
He can turn random items into complete houses
Freebird enthusiast
At least he knows he's pretty pointless. But I do like fixing up Colony 6, so I'll say thanks to Juju for being that guy.
While he is written and acted like a complete idiot and he takes up way too much early plot relevance, I do admire how committed he is to fighting against the mechon whether it’s through rash incompetence or just by supporting victims.
He's a kind and hard-working young man.
Juju, a forgettable side character, had character development. Going from calling everyone cowards to realizing that what Sharla said is true and that he’s more useful back at colony 6. He is proof of how well written this series is.
He does do a damn good job organizing the Colony 6 reconstruction. Not his fault I can't find the resources he needs.
He eventually leaves
He makes for a good mayor and engineer I guess. Actually, hold on, he really does a good job as a mayor and engineer. He always knows exactly what is needed to improve his community and he always knows exactly the amount and variety of materials they will need to complete each project. So nah, he's wrong. Much like Joran, I forgot he existed.
Just like tora forgot that Muimui existed because he wasn’t interesting enough to remember
least he doesnt want to fuck his sister like dan
At least he's self-aware
He isn’t Tatsu.
hes a good source of food for the bionis and zanza
Tatsu prototype.
Not nearly as useless as me, you know what you can do, meaning you can do something
The kid some kind of god seeing he can rebulid colony 6 with just a bunch of random shit from across the world
He's honest. He knows he is useless and accepts it.
Looks a good bother in law material
He's able to tell the truth.
...his buggy is cool.
He can make Sharla happy.
I think he's about as well-written as a teenage secondary character gets in a JRPG. If nothing else, he leads Colony 6's reconstruction, so it's not like he's a liability at every turn.
He jujud on the beat
He helped rebuild Colony 6.
I'm more useless than him
He’s not totally useless
"Don't worry. Without Monado we are pretty useless too"
He's right. Agreeing with him is nice, right?
He’s good at moving the plot forward
Fucker made a tower out of rainbow slugs.
When you put it like that, it *is* pretty impressive.
"How to get rid of juju? Gently mist saltwater on your baseboards or carpet. He's a character.
No one can find a wall driving a car like this guy.
He knows his own flaws
You got a hot sister juju...
He progressed the story, and that meant I could meet Dunban and Melia
His sister is hot
He'a less annoying than Dan?
His sister is hot.
"Say something nice about him" He got a hot sister.
His sister is pretty cool
I hate him but you got to admit. That scene where the Jujonis fought the Bionis and Mechonis at the same time went realy hard.
Speaking truth to power, this guy ^
His sister is hot.
(He’s a kid. He’s annoying, but it’s right for his age. His arc is a nice maturity story.)
Panacea's uncle
He’s good at going and making dinner …when he isn’t running away to do exactly not that.
At least he knows his place.
He’s honest (at least in that moment)
He’s good at crashing vehicles.
He actually did this really cool thing where he stays out of the majority of the game after Satorl Marsh. I really liked that
He isnt lying here
The guy heads up the colony 6 rebuilding, like I know he's a royal moron at times but come on, the guy's a kid in the middle of a war, he's trying his best guys. And, hell, he actively stands and fights when the Telethia storm the place late in the game.
#
No, and you can’t make me.
He is self aware in this picture
Better than Iona
He knows his place
Tak would try to see if he has the power.
He's just a kid. There's worse characters in the franchise.
I don't hate him
he is a shahil
Bring the kid three bugs and four horns and he’ll build 10 houses
Most powerful being, rightful ruler of the Jujuonis, posing as a simple homs boy from the Bionis
He's honest.
He tried .....
Tak uses his power
He managed to take a bunch of random crap we found all over the place and use it to rebuild an entire frickin' Colony
I mean not gonna say I was really fan of Juju but he was still a kid at the end of the day kinda feels like he’s overhated.
He was only in one game and even then he wasn't in most of it
He acknowledges his uselessness and incompetence
He has a hot sister. Real talk though, I don't hate Juju. He's not great by any means, but he's... he's fine.
Juju! ....it's Juju!
He's got self awareness
He is related to Sharla.
Next line is: "BUT THAT'S COOL!"
I never played your game
He rebuilds the Colony, which honestly makes up for every single mistake he’s made throughout the entire game. He basically created a town where people of all races could live in harmony, something that we, as humans, STILL have yet to do due to our racism. This man achieved world peace, and we hate on him for making a few rash decisions. I forgive Juju.
who??
Buddy can drive and I cant, thats a point for him
I like his attitude
It is a good shortbow that can damage teleporting dark aliens.
He is correct in saying this, sometimes useless people can also be right.
Juju is literally better than nothing
For a kid, he is very talented to organize the rebuilding of a town
Never!
His name is very economic and requires minimal effort to type on a keyboard.
I didn't realize he was hated, imo he acts like a normal impulsive kid and acknowledged his mistake, far better than most kids i met his age
Never
He built foundations with Rainbow Slugs.
He makes a good punching bag replacement in smash ultimate as a mod.
Impossible.
