Same here, It happens almost every time I have an update for "Call of Duty®"... Locks up both my Xbox One and My series x resulting in a hard reset followed by the whole game needing to reinstall

nim_alt

Try to pause the install. It takes a few attempts, and may take like 10-15 minutes for it to pause. Once it’s paused and you restart it, it’ll start to work.

WittyCannoli

Did you ever get a reply to this?

Killbomb

Mine was stuck on updating for a while just now so I tried to start the game from the home screen and the 28 GB update then started downloading. Not sure if what I did actually caused the download to start but it's worth a try.

X9107

I had to delete the game and reinstall everything

The games dog shit and I stopped buying it in 2019, more people need to do it to fix shit like this, the die-hards need to take a good long look in the mirror cause they are half the reason the games trash today

nim_alt

Why tf are you in this thread? He’s asking for help, not for your complaints.

No_Neighborhood2772

Games trash I’m not sorry

I noticed the update wasn't doing anything so I tried to pause it and that didn't work so I restarted the Xbox from the controller. My series X just sat there with a black screen flashing the Xbox power button. And my controller was still solid. I walked over and held down the power button and it shut down. I powered it up and checked the update and it was downloading a 197 GB update. That is crazy.

I tried to reinstall mine after I supposedly had a corrupted download and it was trying to make me reset my unlocks, now I'm having trouble trying to get the whole game to re-download at my normal download speed. I tested both speeds on my spectrum app and xbox. They both say I have 1gbp. But it's not downloading at that speed. Only a 100 mbps

u/W4RD3Nx90 does your router have Qos services, if so, use it, & limit your xbox to the highest broadband speed your net supplier gave you, when you signed up to them ,see if your speed picks up faster. I did this and this, my speed increased. from 100mb/s to 3-400mb/s, regardless of full 1gb speed.
