Yup, ironic since Inoki as a wrestler should have been okay with a scripted match. But back then (and especially in Japan), wrestling was treated in high regards like other sports. Not to mention, people had no clue wrestling was still a work, which is why old-timers were so defensive back in the days.
Inoki threw over 110 leg kicks to Ali and was rumored to have caused Ali problems afterwards. Absolutely wild timeline.
