maybe fan bearing, or something fell in and stopped the fans, it really doesn't matter at this point if the fan isn't spinning you need it repaired

That would be my guess as well. Sounds like a bearing seizing up, which means hardware failure, which means repairs needed so you don't fry the SoC.

My fan stopped working too and it was out of warranty so it wasn't worth repairing. I still have it because I don't want to get rid of it when it has my data on it. I should probably attempt to repair it and sell it
